Girls Und Panzer Double Character Analysis: Pepperoni & Carpaccio

I love how GuP is able to make lovable distinct trios! Turtle team, Kay's, Anchovy's, and Katyusha's

I think Pepperoni is my favourite of the Anzio girls she is just so cute and adorable and even when she does mess-up in the matches you know its not on purpose and her heart is always in the right place

My favorite vice commanders of my favorite commander. I also want to mention, I think I might've said so in another video but I want to again, I feel it should be mentioned that the amount of faith Anchovy has in her sub-commanders is also quite significant. The main thing I'm thinking of here is during the Oarai match, Carpaccio asks Anchovy to leave the StuG to her and her Semovente, a tank which in all respects is worse than the StuG, and Anchovy doesn't even skip a beat before agreeing. Similarly for Pepperoni, despite Anchovy being fully aware of her small brain moments, entrusts her not only with the entirety of Operation Macaroni in putting up the decoys, but also in seeing off St. Gloriana's Crusaders which, to send however many L3s (I think they use 7?) against 4 crusaders is a ballsy move to say the least.

I want to add, that in an Anzio-centered manga, although Carpaccio is a very competent and levelheaded Vice-commander, she do get Distracted easily

"their three-headed command structure" - A triumvirate, if you will. Sneaking in a bit of Roman history with Anzio.

You gotta love the Anzio girls. They get a lot done with so little resources.

Pepperoni: The ditzy, silly, airheaded, energetic support structure for her Duce. She's fun, wacky, prone to speaking maybe a bit too much, a great chef, and all around is a fun girl that gives as much character to Anzio as Anchovy and Carpaccio do. Anchovy couldn't ask for a better girl to lead her tankettes into battle. Plus her crazy driving in Der Film was amazing. Carpaccio: The calm, level headed, logical, and more collected support structure for Anchovy. While Pepperoni is adorable and silly with her small brain moments, Carpaccio keeps the team focused and properly advises her commander, unlike Pepperoni the yes girl. And Carpaccio is also the one to speak reason instead of whatever thing pops into her head. Anchovy couldn't ask for a better anchor for the team and a better leader for her Semoventtes. Plus her friendship with Taka- Ceaser, that helps lead to their TD Loader rivalry, is just adorable. All in all, the Anzio trio is amazing and they're all great characters that are fun to watch and enjoy in all their scens from the Anzio OVA, especially to Der Film, and finally in Das Finale where we see them perform greatly against Bonple... only to be unceremoniously crushed by St Gloriana. Poor girls, can't catch a break. Anzio is still a great school and the trio of commanders are all wonderful and charming in their own right. Just some amazing girls with amazing character to them. Great to see you back, and I'm glad you're alright. I hope you stay safe with everything going on and you can continue uploading more innthe future with your new schedule.
