I don't think I ever seen a show talk about these kind of things before. I don't have the patience to sit through all of it but I found it amazing how they represented theorists and fans this way. The more I watch this show, the more i think it was way ahead of its time.
Oh, I think it's the most accurate prediction of the future that exists. Pretty much everything in it is highly likely bound to become reality. We already have VR, cybernetic body parts are already a reality even if still clumsy, AI is advancing quite fast and it's likely one day we can interact with technology by plugging our brains into it. Nothing in it is outside the possibilities of reality.
I like the concept of this chat room, it is what "Second Life" tried to do. However, goddamn this people are even more pretentious than youtube commenters ! Look at the girl at 1:45 and her "talk to the hand" body language ! I hope real japanese people are not this obnoxious !
I think that's the point. The virtual chat room supposed to be some sort of civil 4chan (2ch) board. There are a few tropes, memes, and personalities that are in this episode that you would also find in a 4chan board.
@@lilmurfer Was going to say, it hits a number of the archetypes you'll find on forum boards spot on, that toning some down in such a way to give us a civil discussion to watch...since some boards can be FAR less civil XD
