here's a story "Give me a drink bartender!" The man said as he sat down in the pub. The bartender looked at the man. Did he really deserve the beverages the bartender had to offer? He poured a glass of the finest alcoholic liquid and slid it down at a speed unimaginable. This was the test. If the man could catch his drink then he deserved to drink it. If not, then the bartender lost a glass of valuable beer. The glass was closing in on the man. The man looked down at it but didn't reach out his hand to catch it. The drink slid pass him and landed on the ground, the glass shattering and spilling its content all over the floor. The man looked up at the bartender, not knowing what to say, but his actions spoke words. They told the bartender that he was not yet worthy to drink at a pub as fine as his. He was both disappointed and disgusted by the man. He then proceeded to polish the fine glass in which was solely crafted for his own bar whilst seeming unfazed by the other man’s glare of steel. “Bartender! Another one if you will!” This confused the bartender, since he didn’t think that he’d ask for another after the display of power let out by himself. But still, the man spoke tenderly as if he'd forgiven himself for his lack of speed, but his actions spoke otherwise. His face tensed as he stared down the keeper of the bar as if he were to take action. This was another reason why the bartender himself seems disoriented. For he had never seen a man with a will of steel as hard as his. Nevertheless, he preferred not to panic and gave out a slight smirk. “On the house.” He paused and then once more, he took the fine liquor and sat it onto the tabletop. He then bent down and opened the bottom-left cupboard and took out a pristine glass and poured the pure beverage into the glass. It sparkled elegantly. The bartender then lifted up his face and stared at the man with an aggressive look. “IF YOU CAN GET IT, THAT IS!” The man laughed and scoffed at the bartender’s feeble attempts to intimidate him. “Well then, it looks like we’ve got a showdown...” The two men stared at each other as if they were bitter enemies since the start. The man from one side of the bar had his dominant arm twitching near his side waiting patiently for a signal to seize the fine alcoholic liquor. Meanwhile, on the other side of the bench. The bartender possesses the glass within his palm whilst staring the other down, waiting for a moment to strike. He then lets out a sinister grin, his eyes then twitched. “SURPRISE!” The glass which was previously inanimate seemed for a second as if it phased out of his hand, but really, the glass had been pushed with excessive force from his palm, which explains why it seemed his hand laid immobile while the glass slid across at rapids speeds. However, the man from the other side of the bar still sat inanimately whilst giving the bartender a cold and crestfallen look. He lowered his hat on a slight angle and muttered a word in which would forever haunt the bartender for the rest of his days. “Pathetic excuse for power…” The taverner’s heart felt heavy as it skipped a beat. Just who was this man to cast away his immense power as pathetic? He couldn’t allow this. His ego wouldn’t allow this. And his pride would never allow this. The ranchero moved in a slight second in which for the barkeeper, felt as if time had come to an end and then moved once more. Shocked, he looked around the room to see what has happened to him and his bar. But what he found was not to his favor. He takes a look at the corner of his bar counter to see the ranchero sitting in a position in which man him look a little more ‘compelling’. The glass wasn’t smashed on the floor like the barkeeper expected from the outcome, but was laying within the man’s hand, held like wine. The ranchero looks at the taverns man with a wide, boastful grin. He bellowed down the liquor without hesitation then placed it down on the bench counter, he then faces the front door and exits the bar showing no concern for the glare he got from a shattered man. How could this have happened? He was didn’t even see him move! Just who was this man? His mind became jumbled and disoriented in the confusion. He didn’t know what to do. So, he just sat, sat in silence. He had won the battle, yes. But ultimately, he lost the war. In the end, he was crushed by his own pride.
