Southwest Louisiana is an untapped market for this... As a truck driver of 25 yrs. in this area a good hand wash truck wash and polishing would kill it around here.
Hi Evan, I am an absolute newb with polishing. I am not planning to start a biz, Im retired and just want to polish my alum diamond plate toolboxes on my truck. These boxes are old, I bought them used. Watching many of your vids, you would not have fooled with these, they are in bad shape. That being said, I have a 25+ years old Millwaukee variable 6k sander that I am using...but it just went up in smoke. I bought a Makita 9227c and I will probably be getting a 6K Makita also. For the 9227c, the center plates for the hubless buffs, the bottom plate is about 1/16" from touching the machines case. Do you use a plate to hold the plates off of the machine? Great vids, Thanks.
I do not like interface pads. I use them on very rare occasion. I know a lot of polishers like them because they are forgiving. But I personally find I get much better results without them.

Hey Evan so im barley starting my own polishing business I live in California prices here are very high right now but besides that I wanted to ask since im starting my own polishing business now I have everything I need I have the big 6000 rpm makita grinder the 9inch buffs orange and yellow with green and brown rouge and I have my da sander as well im barley 15 years old starting this I have done a couple of trucks now maybe 3 I wanted to ask if my pricing is OK for beginning im charging $25 a rim and I charge $15 extra for sanding if you can please respond that would mean everything to me i have been learning everything from you, you have amazing videos with describing everything in good detail and I learned all my tips techniques and tricks from you
Beginner pricing and advanced user pricing shouldn't be the same. Just because you are learning doesn't mean the value of what you are doing is less. If you charge less now it will be far harder to charge more later. Customers will get used to the cheap pricing and expect that all the time and now want to use you later when the pricing is higher. I think your pricing is cheap for California. But if you are happy with the amount of money you are making for the amount of time you put in then you are good. You are the one that matters.
Hey I had a quick question I’m on the new side to polishing but I had a question when I do a step polish Orange and brown Yellow and green Green and green White and red In the garage it looks crazy amazing with a deep finish but when we take it out into the sun light it looks like dog shit !!! I’ve done it a crazy amount of different ways and still the same I am just using a 3500 rpm buffer
Ive been polishing for a little while now (i was working for a shop and they had me polishing stuff occasionally) recently got laid off and am looking to get into this full time on my own. I know zypher makes some of the best products but I'm on a budget. do you know if the amazon wheels are worth or should i just save up and stick with zypher?
@@Supertrucker66 I didn’t know he had his own stuff but I’m trying to go the budget route until I get a couple jobs in then I’ll re invest into some better gear
