Hi Elise. I just had a thought: please make sure you get double windows (with good space between the two panels, a few inches) on your skylight because if you get only a single glass panel, you will cook in that living room area during the summer. The space between the two panels will act as a buffer against the heat and also humidity. I just wanted to put it out there because of personal experience. Keep my story in mind please.

Today I tried your chickpeas and broccoli bake as best as I could imitate yours. It was delicious and I would never have thought to cook broccoli. It's not always the case, but that table looks so much better painted, and you chose such a pretty shade of blue - what a sweet spot to sit while you wait for the water to boil, or to write your grocery list. Your little shelf with the rail is a great excuse to buy some pretty vintage platters 😉

I think, the new shelf above the table, would have looked lovely, painted the same colour blue as the table ,the whole kitchen is lovely.

Thank you for moving your rug. Now I can stop worrying... lol. Voice of experience - deep red paint on a cream colored rug (even with plastic down). Learn from other people's lives . It saves a lot of time and hassle and clean up. Loving what you are doing in your kitchen! Keep on keeping on 🥰

You could always get a nonslip pad to go under the rug to make it feel thicker and softer. I love the blue one in the kitchen though it goes really well with the chair and little table. And now that whole corner looks really cute with the shelf and decorations. Good job.

When I was at art school I did a project on him....and, this is so spooky....when you put the vase of tulips on the table, my first thought was...Manet would have painted this scene so beautifully!...and then you put a Manet painting up! 😱😱😱 The table is such an amazing colour... Elise you are so right about a skylight. The house is lovely, but that living room is screaming for another natural light source. It must be a north facing window. And I like the sound when it rains.

Hi Elise, lovely video. The only thing I wouldn't have added is the last painting as it's positioned too low, in my opinion. I would have put something smaller or nothing at all, but it's just a personal preference 😊 you will find the right lamp, sometimes is better to just wait for the right opportunity ❤

You are lucky to have Woodpigeons in your garden, they tend to like living int he country side . I have two as well and their family, I feed them crushed up nuts they love them and some seeds. Wood pigeons have such friendly and funny personalities.

Does anyone comment on your cooking? I watch over and over and have written “ Elise’s Recipes “. My husband and I love them.

I like the blue. I thought you might paint some more blue touches, for instance the wall shelf. I once had a kitchen wall with that same shade of blue. It looked fab with pops of red decor.

I love your new kitchen corner look!! ❤ A little advice from (a contractors ex-wife, who did lots of construction work) before you paint if you caulk the seams first and run your wet finger down the bead of the caulk, a sponge and bucket of water makes it easy (& let dry) you will not get those cracks later on. It gives it a smooth nice clean finished look. 😉 ✌️💜

I prefer rugs that are thinner they are easy to throw into the washing machine- and can be changed out every year or two...as deco style changes👌 I have a couple of kids so this works well for me👌🥰
