Also the exact reason why I tell my mom I won’t be home until 6, when I’ll be home at 4. Because I know they’re going to show up an hour early! I’ll pull in and they’ll be sitting in the driveway if I don’t time it right…. 😂
That's definitely not my mama, more like me cuz my mama say, if she driving you will get there on her time, which is a few minutes till the appointment and a few minutes late, never on time
My mother cannot and will NOT stop talking while I’m driving. She goes non-stop. If I don’t engage, she calls one of her sisters or a her friends and proceeds to talk to them on speaker phone. 🤦🏾♀️🥺 But one thing I have to pray about before she gets in my car, is her need to give me directions like she is Waze. She questions every single direction I go. “You know I have a short cut. Why you going this way, we gonna hit traffic.” “No Mommy I’m going my way, I’ve lived in this town for 30+ years, I know my way around too.” Then she proceeds to huff and puff when I don’t go her way. 🤷🏾♀️ Lastly, my mother yells other drivers or tries to hunk my horn, when someone simply breaks in front of me. “They flying like bats outta hell, in a rush to go no where, slow your tales down!” 😂 Lawd grant me patience!
How did you combine all the older women in my family into one character? 😂 My mom complains that my car is actually too low to the ground as if she’s getting in for the first time every time, and I must remind her it was her car for 10 years before I got it lol
@@daphnesmith1812 And she got a smaller car when she gave me this one which is the same height and doesn’t complain about that lol I think touching my car while I’m in the drivers seat just amplifies “mom mode” 😂
You missed the part where my mom suddenly gasps and grips the edge of her seat because somebody changed lanes 100 yards ahead of us. Makes my blood run cold every time.
One time my momma asked me "what chu want the car to do...fly". I laughed so hard I almost wrecked us and she told me if I couldn't drive no betta she could just walk. We were on 75 in Atlanta and she talkin about walkin. I miss her so much. Thanks EJ
I am 52 years old. I lost my mom last year, but before that i think I clocked hundreds of miles in the car with my Momma and this just brought it all right back and I love it!! She mustve said everyone of these statements AT LEAST once per ride. We didnt fight about the music though because it was understood that when Momma was in the car, she picked the songs and it was always the Blues!
I lost mine too. I had a separate playlist for her Blues. I should have had an extra brake installed for her so she can slow the car down when I go over 25. I shuttled her around so much I needed an oil change when she finished her errands. I miss her so much. I still listen to her playlist. Please love them and cherish them while they are with you💜😞.
😂😂 This was my mom every shopping trip, every doctors appointment, and Sunday drives after Sunday dinner. She’s gone now, but lord knows I’ll give anything is to drive her around again ! Love ya momma ❤
I lost my mama last year. I say the same thing EVERYDAY. If I could just take her to one more doctors appointment, to church, to the grocery store, anywhere but the cemetery 😭😭
My mom died 1 year and 8 months ago…. I miss her so much & wish I could give her a ride and listen to her complain about everything I do!!! I miss my mama, I really do.
Death is not something God intended any of us to experience. All these trials and hardships are a result of the sin of Adam and Eve. Their disobedience resulted in the passing on sin and imperfection to we who are their descendants. However, we have a hope made possible through the ransom of Christ. His death bought back everything Adam and Eve forfeited. If we live righteously according to God's standards(not our own) we have a prospect of seeing the below prophecies fulfilled which includes the permanent END to death. I suggest any and all to make note of these verses as a reminder of a hope that God, who cannot lie, has promised "When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned."- Roman's 5:12(NLT) "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be NO MORE DEATH or sorrow or crying or pain. I’ve been going on about my mom getting in my car constantly complaining, but thank you ladies for the comments. I realize the day may come that she won’t be there and I’ll miss the fussing. From now on, I’ll just smile and let her talk. Thank God for mothers.
I cannot stand the fussing, but from now on, I'm looking at the bigger picture, saying nothing and just letting her vent. It's a small price I have to pay for the honor of being her son. However, it do be much - so I gotta prepare mentally beforehand 🤣😭

I laughed so hard at this because I am slowly becoming this lady. When my children drive me places I comment about the speed and make noises when I get in the car. Lord help them 😅
My Mom has dementia and has trouble remembering but in the passenger seat of my car..... she forgets nothing! Turn here, slow down, watch that truck two lanes over, park in the shade. I just smile. This is when she is her old self.
The same Mama that is holding on now like she is about to fly out was the same mama back in the day that had you sliding across the seats about to fly out the window because she pulled off before you could get your seatbelt on.😂😂😂

That’s my grandma for sure. A little bit like my mom. My mom asked me to slow down speed limit 35mph. I was going 30. Her response , “ feel faster on the passenger side”.

My mother always wanted to pack the day full of errands. I thought we were only going to the doctor. "Well, since we out, do you mind if we stop at…" Wendy’s, the pharmacy, the grocery store, the bank branch were I used to work so she didn’t have to stand in line, the shoe shop to get some taps on her shoes, and Sears because they had everything.

@@charmcharm2352 I had to flip the script on her and do the same constant nagging she did on me as a child on her lol. But also they started charging to take the light bills at the grocery store too lol

I'm in my 40s and I have a 25 yr old son, he can't drive me anywhere. I don't even care if I'm sick. I'll risk driving myself. Never been in the car with him driving, ever! 😭
