I considered the GJP kit, but Inonly wanted oil pressure, and didn't get any details of how the extra OBD port required for RaceChrono was going to work. So I decided to fo with the Ansix kit because it just seemed cleaner for my needs. Seeing that bit of a rat's nest you've got going on now, I think I'm happy with my choice. 😅
900 BRZ shows almost-fixed oil pressure, and said that he was testing a new product that might be available soon after he publishes his results. He hasn't said what it is yet, tho. But his pil pressure on Thunderhill looked really solid. Although I think he was still on GT Radials, not something super sticky.
@@phelpsgarage4202 I'm in the process of building a digital oil pressur gauge with a little lcd screen and a Arduino. A buzzer will alert me at a given psi while on gaz. Could buy a AEM, but I want to try it. Might end up with a AEM in the end🤣
The pipe thread nomenclature you were trying to recall is "British Standard Pipe Parallel" and I ran into this years ago when I owned a 1972 Datsun 240Z for 13 years. How much annular space do you have between the oil pan periphery and your headers? I only ask to help, due to you may be able to widen and deepen the existing sump for more oil capacity. Between the heads holding oil, as they don't drain back fast enough to the oil pan and oil roping around the crankshaft under high RPM conditions, you may have 3 quarts of oil not getting to the pickup under high G force conditions. The items you were installing today look to be well designed and I'm guessing you're going to go to E85 in preparation for the future turbocharging aspect.
With the aftermarket header, we have a bunch of room. The issue with a deeper pan is that we can’t change out the oil pick up unless we remove the front timing cover. So somehow, instead of making it deeper, we need to make the pan wider with some better baffles that will hold more oil. And yes, I’m on 85 right now.
Question: at roughly @7:30 why can’t you just plug the factory fuel line straight into the JGP flex fuel thingy? The extension hose seems unnecessary (as a viewer). I have also been considering the exact same flux fuel setup but with an ODBLink MX+ to pair with my iPhone for realtime analytics. Great content!! 💪
Randomly stumbly stubbled across this. Unfortunately because stock uses 5/16 fuel line and the sensor uses 3/8th. So won't plug in :( so you need a second "conversion". And we had to make the lines longer because I know not everyone setup is the same so accounting for people who remount stuff in different location , makes it easier for them to not bend the lines
