@Becky Hartley I think they meant that since LEGO partnered up with Valve and sconce you can play as Chell in lego dimensions then that means in some point gLaDoS and Hal9000 met each other at some point.

isn't lying technically emotion based since lying is a form of concealment which is usually something you do out of fear, anxiety or passive aggression?
Hall 9000 has no emotions whatsoever and tries to convince you that he has them, while GLaDOS has emotions and she tries to convince you that she doesn't have them.
@@simpleinverso8628 > GLaDOS has emotions and tries to convince you that she doesn't have them. Didn't think I would have that much in common with a rouge AI.
No wonder i feel comfortable around glados. Its nice being around someone who was human and converted into a robot, than an robot pretending to be human
For those who wonder, the voices come from LEGO Dimentions, a LEGO game where they got the original Portal 2 voice cast, so this isn't a GLaDOS spoof, it's actually the real voice!
That would be both awesome & really intense: WALL-E's childlike personality is very contrasting compared to GLaDOS'... well, everything about her. She might find him a odd little curiosity, but I fear she might just destroy him in the end.
Chess is what is called a "perfect" game, which means if two all knowing beings or "robots", the game will go on for all eternity. But my money's on GLaDOS
Glados. While an ai she still possess the flaws of human emotion. Therefore she would dump hal into a vat of acid before he could win against her. Either that or rig the chess board.
She has a point tho, HAL is being kind of dumb. She literally said "no" when asked if she was Dave, and HAL still calls her Dave. Either he's dumb or he is purposely fueling the aggression
Hal has always felt more threatening than glados imo. The fact that he is emotionless and pretends to care is much more impactful than glados who has emotions and tries to pretend she doesn’t.
Hal is certainly more capable of being a threat but what I find interesting about him is he never wanted to hurt anyone, i doubt he really wants anything. He only retaliates when his “life” is threatened, because it interferes with the mission.
2 years late, but I see HAL as less inherently dangerous than GLaDOS *because* he's cold hard code. As long as you stay within the line, you're safe. GLaDOS however, can reason beyond code. If she thinks you're a potential threat, or are of no more use, she'll dispose of you, or (poorly) coerce you into disposing yourself. A machine that is just machine is less dangerous than a machine that thinks
Even scarier because as HAL points out correctly, GLADOS is technically a human brain digitized onto a computer while HAL is fully AI. HAL doesn't have a reason to feel emotion since it was never there to begin with
Fun fact:GLaDOS can only move her head left and right never up and down there are two plates on her head the black line on her head that seperats the plates and the small plate never moves only the main face plate which is interesting
@@andrewengineering5095 I have speedran Portal and Portal 2 and scoured both games for every little thing I could find over years, and I have never seen GLaDOS spelled like GLaD0S. Where is it spelled like that?
Little error: Glados has a preference to extend her eye-thing out of her chassis, instead of tucking it in. I suspect it's for better visibility, and the fact that that area of her chassis once had more protective shielding that extended the eye area.
Let it be known, this is the actual voice of GLaDOS. This conversation was in a LEGO game, Dimensions to be precise. The game also had Betelgeuse, Gremlins, Knight Rider, Sonic the Hedgehog, original AND 2016 Ghostbusters, the Goonies, Adventure Time, Jurassic World, Doctor Who, Scooby Doo, E.T., and more. Calling it a crossover is a huge underestimation.
I feel like it should be pointed out that GLaDOS WAS being sort of reasonable about it until HAL started calling her Dave... Preeeeeetty sure that was where she drew the line... Edit: Maybe "reasonable" wasn't the right word, in retrospect...
This is deep in lore. The main reason Hal went crazy is because he was forced to lie to protect the mission in 2001. The fact he brought it up is simply fantastic to canon.
A conversation between Glados and HAL 900 no one never saw this coming in Lego Dimensions as equally as no one never expected to see Glados in a Lego dimensions, now that's a surprise
