@@carolinatorres7575 Due to a disability I am not able to work a lot of too strenuous ones, the one I managed to get an interview with that would have been one of lesser harm on me, the area I was interviewing for was pretty simple and I had job experience in the entire process of this field of work, though I they seemed to favor a certain type of person (all only men..) so for whatever reason I did not get the job. And I still apply to the warehouse/factory ones even if it may be something I can only do short term. Fortunately, I live in a city at least so I am still really hoping and feel like something will have to work out sooner than later. Thank you 🧡

I hated planning a wedding I didn’t want to have that we eloped to a beautiful beach.

I hated planning my wedding, and it was much smaller than most; under 50. It’s also a really strange feeling when it’s suddenly “done”. It’s hard not to fall into a weird funk after a year of focusing on one day. I am 30, and had a home with my husband for 4 years before we even got married. It’s just a strange experience for some people. My husband and I did it more for our families than ourselves, and their joy was what made it all worth it.

Mostly they're worried about The CCP, potential security risk, blah blah blah. Different politicians cite different reasons, but also "won't someone please think of the children!" is one of the funnier rationals. There's nothing on TikTok you won't find anywhere else.

it is partly about censorship though. read the bill. it isn’t JUST a tiktok ban. it includes provisions that could be used for banning other platforms down the line too

And also it isn’t only affecting tiktok it’s also affecting any apps that aren’t American which is contradicting the freedom of speech amendment. To put it into perspective, the bill is very similar to laws in China. But hopefully the vpn thing works! I know I’ve heard some ppl say it does and some say it doesn’t but hopefully it does 😭

i think the us government is making it a jailable offence to access tiktok via a vpn. i think they’ll charge you a fine of $20,000 and/or jail time up to 10 years if you get caught?

No, they’d make apple and google remove it. Personally I hate tiktok. However if banned it’s a slippery slope and doesn’t set a good precedent. However, with the amount of money involved in this, I don’t think it will be banned. And as much as I hate that stupid app, I don’t think America should censor it. Like there are already rules for people who have government issued phones, and such to not have certain apps. And there’s sooo many ways around all of this. But just due to the amount of money I don’t think it’ll be banned.

Because last night I was like well I only use it for bookbinding tips and downloaded them just in case, but with the amount of money that companies put into it and such I don’t think it will be but still real real slippery slope.
