Season 2 is just that good. This episode is iconic with those original songs.

My favorite part of this episode is whenever Blaine says that he wants to sing a duet with Kurt, and you can see on all the Warblers’ faces how much they ship them

i've always assumed that like, in the canon of the show, each team at the competitions does get equal time on stage, we just don't always see it all. because honestly do you WANT to watch 20 minutes of each? i don't.

I think the difference in how you feel about Kurt probably relies heavily on when you watched the show tbh. Kurt was an incredibly revolutionary character when Glee aired and he meant a lot to a lot of people. I think even though he's still a pretty important character in media, when you re-watch Glee it's easier to see his faults now. Obviously, you are allowed to not like him. But I really think watching the show back then vs through today's lense makes a difference. However I do think Kurt's faults gets examined far more closely than anyone else's. Rachel was consistently doing the same things Kurt did but to a higher degree and rarely facing consequences. Santana, while an awesome fun character, is a huge bitch the entire show. The writing on Glee is, most of the time, unfortunately shit. Ryan Murphy creates good characters and then ruins them in the same breath. He has no idea how to write continuity and have characters be nuanced without becoming entirely a different character. Blaine's character will be ruined eventually as well. I don't want to spoil so I'll try to talk generally but....it starts with a big change in season 3 and then just gets worse. Personally I like to pretend Glee ended halfway through season 3 lol.

Klaine shippers also realize that Candles does sound a bit off ahah, there definitely is a better klaine duo out there lol Blaine is my fav character (with santana) so I'm so happy that you like him!!! Can't wait to see the other MAJOR events!!!

If you like Blaine's voice you should watch A Very Potter Musical. Its an original play by starkid based on HP, but in a very funny way. Blaine plays Harry Potter! I love it! Oh, it's a musical!

I just found this channel and the Glee watch last week. I’ve had a lot of fun playing catch up. I’m actually really glad that I started when I did so I could race through the season 1 reactions and get to season 2. I’m really enjoying your reactions a lot. I only found Glee in 2018 but I’ve been a big fan of it and Klaine and Chris Colfer and his books ever since. Obviously, Kurt is my favorite character but I don’t fault you for how you feel about him, just remember that this aired 9 years ago and some of the story lines and humor haven’t aged as well as others.

This is definitely my favorite episode of season two, an all around good episode and of course the beginning of Klaine 😍 (my OTP on the show) I remember watching this episode live (I live in France, so it was around 4 am lol) and trying not to scream when the kiss happened! All the original songs are pretty cool and I just love Mike's reaction to trouty mouth 🤣 just iconic I still listen to get it right and loser like me, and I still get goosebumps when Lea hits that note in get it right. It's really great that you enjoy the show so much, I truly enjoy watching your reactions 😁👍

sorry if i already said this but before glee, darren criss (blaine) was in some fanmade harry potter parody musicals, you can find them on youtube. not the best quality audio/video wise but they're still well worth a watch for those unfamiliar. i would recommend them even if you're not a big hp fan tbh, i'm not and i adore them. classic stuff. look up a very potter musical and a very potter sequel 🥰 in fact how much i loved darren as harry in those musicals was the whole reason i started watching glee, back when season 2 was airing and i heard he was gonna be in it hehe

Blaine is definitely in the top 3. For me him, Rachel and Sam are. The thing with Glee is that all the characters are so flawed but you learn to love them despite their stupid and annoying moments.

I watch these reactions with naive hope that you will slowly start to love Kurt one day lmao. It's fine if you never do and I get he's made some stupid decisions, but I've always had a soft spot for his character, probably because when the show first aired gay characters on popular tv shows were either non-existent or completely sidelined and Kurt, as well as his relationship with Blaine, was said to have pathed the way for many more gay characters to be accepted in mainstream shows. Kurt was pretty revolutionary in that aspect which is probably why people are so defensive of him, and why your comments have been a war zone lmao. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I feel like Ryan Murphy projected a lot of himself onto Kurt, considering he wrote Kurt as a character after having Chris audition for Artie, and we know that he wasn't supposed to be in original line up of the show. So it would make sense if Ryan used himself as a point of reference, being a gay man himself, and I feel like because of that Kurt represents a lot of interesting viewpoints that the show doesn't tend to argue with, probably because they're what Ryan actually feels and uses Kurt to express. I agree with some of them, such as the religion debacle, since Kurt felt strongly about not being religious and having that pushed on him, especially in a time of need when he needed support, was just wrong even if he was a little harsh when confronting them about it. But other viewpoints, such as the whole "bisexuality is for scared little boys" thing, going unquestioned in the show just felt very oddly wrong to not have been argued with and makes me believe that that must be what the writers genuinely thought...which is concerning. I love Kurt, but when Blaine kissed Rachel and then declared he was gay I was kind of annoyed because it felt like they were saying that Kurt was right all along. Either way, I don't think they really do that as much from this point onwards so hopefully, you'll warm up to Kurt as time goes on. also just randomly putting my opinion for no reason: I love Blaine in season 2 but season 3 onwards he just becomes very annoying to me, so if you continue to like him then I guess I can call a truce in that I don't like Blaine and you don't like Kurt lmao

For me this is still the best Episode of them all! Season 2 was a whole different level compared to the other seasons. I LOVE watching your reactions to this show! I watched it back when it was airing and it was my favorite show in the world before SKAM came around the corner and stole my heart. Like... I was SUPER invested in that one. So coming here from your Skam (+ Remakes) reactions is such a throwback for me haha. I'm gonna have to do a rewatch very soon!

I am so happy that you like and gave Rachel a chance, rather than writing her off right away. I have had to stop watching several Glee reactions because the person just continuously shits on her whenever she is on screen, talking over her solos, and just going on about how awful she is with no relation to that episode’s plot. You still rightfully call her out on her shit a lot, but you allow her (and all the other characters) a chance to improve as people rather than immediately writing them off.

Actually emitted a high-pitched noise when the Klaine kiss scene started. Kurt & Blaine are the main reason I stuck watching this show until the end. Blaine is obviously my favourite character although they both do problematic shit from time to time but then again that’s just the reality of Glee.

I liked Blaine in season 2 but in season 3 until the end of the show I got so bored of him since he got all the songs and scenes, and yes, I know, he's a popular character and all but I stopped liking him after this season 🤷🏻‍♂️ I wanted to see other characters have more screentime instead.
