Cracking video mate … what’s the deal though if you get held up and ain’t back at the gate by 8 pm . Surely there must be someone there to let you out ?
Thanks Stevie! I think you may find yourself stuck if you don’t get back to the gate in time, although I don’t know for certain. www.mountaineering.scot/access/special-arrangements/strathfarrar
@@HighlandHikers Thanks mate. Appreciated. Yeah I just wondered how it worked if someone was a bit later back . Saying that they can’t hold anyone in right enough as that’s against the law . Planning on doing it soon you see
Great video mate, weather held up for most of it! Brings back memories of my trip there a few weeks back 😂 nice bunch of munros.. bet you were glad of the lift back at the end! Thats a long old slog back to the start, Atb, James
Thanks James! Yeah, I think on the whole we had a good day for it. Especially as it was pouring when we left Inverness in the morning! We couldn’t have been far off bumping into each other by the sounds of it - we were there on the 11th July. I enjoyed your video too - wild camping was an interesting take on it. And yes, definitely glad of the lift! Meant our friend James got to enjoy pizza and beer with us before his sleeper train departed for London. Cheers, Douglas
Great video Douglas. It's a lovely route and a cracking stalkers path at the end back down to the road.We done this a few weeks ago and it was the hottest day i have ever walked in.🥵🥵What camera is it that you use as it is very sharp and clear?😀👍
Another great adventure Douglas in Glen Strathfarrar bagging another 4 munros. You are definitely getting nearer the 282 not a great lot left. Pity about the weather and the clag. The scenery was still good though.
Thanks Douglas, I really enjoyed that one! On the whole the weather was pretty good - I’ve had days where the rain has been constant, but on this walk we just had a few passing showers to contend with.
Thanks Marco! Yeah, it’s a lovely area. The walk is certainly on the longer side, but you’re right that it’s not overly challenging. Good paths for most of it, and there’s never too much re-ascent between the peaks.
Hi Douglas - just found your munro channel- good job sir. I've watched all your parkrun vids and getting more interested in walking rather than running. Nice footage.
@@HighlandHikers I've done Tinto hill and Culter Fell recently. Years ago I done some Munro's, whw etc. Hope to do some of the hills near the Trossachs in the better weather- also seen you done Hart fell - which looks accessible for me, being from Lanarkshire. Cheers!
