"Glisten” - Eurorack Modular Ambient - [NDLR, Blukać EP, Nebulae V2, Plaits, Rings & Subharmonicon]

A soothing melodic ambient piece this time with a distinctly wintery feel about it, featuring the Blukać Endless Processor together with a Nebulae V2, Plaits and Rings, Korg Opsix and Moog Subharmonicon. In this track the Nebulae V2 and Blukać Endless Processor provide an ethereal underlying choral wash and the rest of the track gently weaves its way around it. I do hope some of you find it pleasing; as usual, the piece slowly evolves and develops, so please listen to it in its entirety in order to fully appreciate the track.

Patch Info:-
A Conductive Labs “NDLR” provides the master clock for everything, clocking both Hermod and Pams New Workout. Pams in turn provides all clocks to the Eurorack system (Databender, DLD etc).
NDLR also handles all sequencing (Key of "A", "Locrian" Scale, 120bpm) via Hermod which distributes the CV and gate to the Eurorack system and also Midi to the Korg Opsix (Background chords) and Subharmonicon (Bass duties). The NDLR Chord degrees were all manually played by me throughout, using a Arturia Keystep 37 keyboard controller via Midi.
Nebulae V2 plays a beautiful choral sample into the Endless Processor for re-synthesizing and then plays alongside it throughout the track. The output from the EP (including Nebulae throughput) is then fed into QPAS then in to the mix.
Rings is multed into Clouds (in Granular texture mode) and Databender (in Micro mode) the latter providing reversed, pitched down washes with added saturation and then into the mix.
Plaits (with the new firmware) playing a DX (FM) preset into 4MS Dual Looping Delay, using both delay channels simultaneously and then into the mix.
A 4MS Ensemble VCO provides the haunting background vocal sounding counterpoint melody by being gently swept though a scale by OCHD with added FM modulation and then via a Strymon Magneto (in pitch shifting mode with all Lo-fi settings) and into the mix.
An Instruo OCHD modulates Root and FM input on Ensemble and also the 4 x resonant peaks on QPAS plus position on Clouds.
All sounds then into Big Sky (Nimbus Cloud setting) for final reverb and added ambience.
As with all my tracks, the piece was recorded in one take, no DAW was used and all mixing was undertaken solely within the confines of the modular racks. Recorded into Audacity with just a little added compression.
