That's why you have to practice a lot man XD Actually, back in early smash 4, tweek also used to get very nervous in those scenarios (The commentators did mentioned something like that if I remember)
RicardoISO yeah you’re right, but no amount of quick play matches can prep you for the pressure of being in front of a huge crowd watching every move you make- not to mention the RU-vid audience...you have to find a way to block out everything and it must suck to lose and snap back to the reality that everyone that was counting on you saw you lose :/
@@Xckeyl Oh boy, the one and only solution is to go and never stop going to tournaments, the mastery is achieved by the experience, I can tell you, quickplay is just gonna make you play worse and get angry way faster, if you start playing seriously, you're gonna see the improvement.
@@riku_iso3770 Oh trust man I'm happy being a casual player LOL Nothing but mad respect to player who go out and compete though. I love the energy a crowd can provide to the tournament, and I love rooting for my favorite players! Some people were born with the mentality to go out and compete and some were born with the mentality to hype up and cheer for them- nothing wrong with either of them. They both contribute to this awesome community :)
Yea yea guys, I knew Wizzy had better results back when I commented that. I said that because I’ve never seen Wizzy’s Mario beat the best ranked player
This is how you should play tweek. Good main and good secondary. Not 8 characters. Edit: I like how some idiots thought I was insulting tweek or something. And while I have no intention of rewording anything, I meant what I said. He's a skilled player with a weak mentality. He believes he can be the best player and I agree, but he has to realize that his best character CAN win. But now we know he has wolf, wario and roy. Good line up. I can see it work. If he plays his cards right.
@@jakelowk3y793 lol Wolf isn't a bad matchup for Mario, I think it's very even. Both have strong combos on each other, can edge guard each other and have similar neutral tools to approach. Wizzy probably needs a refresher in the matchup because he came close to winning so many times like Tweek's Wario came close to winning many times.
1:25 it looks like wizzy uses Mario's side b (cape) at the same time as his up b (super jump punch) to recover. You see the Cape animation yet he jumps up like super jump punch. I'm even rewatching it at 50% speed and that's exactly what it looks like. Anyone know what that is?
Wizzy jumped regularly and then used Cape, which instantly snaps to ledge if you line it up well. Hope this helps! I've done this a lot as a Mario main myself, so I know what he did.
It seems like Mario drops two tiers when he can't use his laddering combos lol Really amazing performance by Dark Wizzy in that last match, how he still managed to go toe to toe with Tweek at that disadvantage
So I feel like I am a pretty decent player. I am consistently low elite smash. But when I watch how these elite players are so comfortable doing those tiny movements on the control stick to walk …it just shows how far I have to go
Had to go back and watch some of his old sets after his performance at Summit. He still playing the same for the most part just not as keen and that's why he got bodied. He didnt practice during the online era. The Meta of Ultimate has changed drastically. Hopefully he will start practicing now.
I kept screaming at Wizzy to confine himself to shorthops. Virtually every neutral interaction he lost was because he full hopped and a) Tweek’s aerials beat his out b) Tweek caught his landing He adapted in the semifinal game but reverted to old habits in the last one. Also jump was the get up option Tweek covered the least consistently. That’s just my pov
@@texmexlink Look, Prodigy has the best combo game of any Mario. But Wizzy is more consistent and has much better results. He has multiple top 8s at S/A tiers. Prodigy has no top 8s at any S/A tier iirc. I love both players but Wizzy is THE Mario rn and it's not even that close
