OOTP has a ton of settings, many of which you've probably never heard of (and you don't really need to). From the ones mentioned above, to player settings, to financial settings, to player generation settings, to facegen settings, and much more, I dive into and thoroughly explain every setting that I can think of. @@mikek0909 Not really, the changes in the overall settings overview are miniscule so it's been pushed down my priority list. Will release it at some point though.

Good overview of the settings. Since OOTP 22 is basically the same, I know I would be interested if you did just a shorter video of what changes you make for your league settings and why. Searching around I see a lot of settings that recommended to change that I'm unsure of - like turning off rule 5 draft, or recommended modifiers for stats.

Overall, a good overview, but there were definitely some mistakes where the settings don’t do what you thought. I didn’t keep a running list, but ones I remember are “League Reputation”, “Alternate home field advantage between sub-leagues”, and “Balanced Schedule”. If anyone is curious, I can describe what they actually do.

So I started a historical franchise but financial system is disabled is there any way to enable or is it like that for historical play throughs. It also say can’t be enabled till preseason so I sim the year till the start of preseason the next year but still didn’t let me enable.

I would try during the playoffs, in the beginning of the offseason, in the middle of the offseason, and during the regular season. I would also try a few days into the preseason or during Spring Training. If none of that works, I'm not sure how you'd do it.

Lol really uninteresting. At one point, I had the idea of creating 50 teams, one for each state, and building each state's team with the best 26 players that came from that state (through all of baseball history). If there's interest I'd be happy to continue the project, make a quicksave, and make a video on it

So if I put the trading preference to “Heavily favor prospects”, that means that teams will be less likely to trade prospects right?

Technically, it means teams will value prospects more heavily and veterans less. Prospects will be harder to trade for, but have more value from your team, and veterans will be easier to trade for, and have less value from your team.
