I’ve been looking at getting a FN reflex for conceal carry. What do you think of it? I haven’t heard a lot of good things about it but I still want to get one
You had me scared when I read that title ! Lol. Thank God it’s still a 26 . I was feeling like I was all alone for a min there but now I just want to pick up a Gen 5 ! Great gun choice.
How is the gen 5 finish holding up? Any rusting? How often you oil/clean it? I got gen 5 19 n I love it. I want a 26 next. Never been one for red dot, thinking about it though.
I love the 26 I am currently working on building a p80 sc. I dont feel comfortable carrying with a dot yet but love the way they look. However I love suppressor height sights the best.
Thanks so much for posting this. Its nice to see someone pick a #1 when they have so many personal choices. May I ask how you carry and your body type?
Have you tried the Striker Control Device? I like having it as a parallel to being able to put my thumb on the hammer of a hammer fired gun. I first bought a couple from Tau Development, then Langdon Tactical started making them.
Lots of fantastic pistols! Couldn't agree more about training with your carry pistol. I still love my G26.4 definitely one of my favorite pistols but i've gravitated more and more towards Glock 19s for both carry and home defense and train with it constantly. When I need deep concealment still go with my G26 but for the most part the G19 fits me best at least right now but you know how it goes, we all seem to gravitate back to the G26 because it's just that damn good!
Hey, you made a comment about why you had 357 sig barrel in a previous video. I'd love to hear a video on caliber selection and when you would step it up to a larger caliber or when you stick with the g26 in 9 mm.
It's basically just a power vs capacity vs ease of handling vs cost vs location/environment decision/debate. Which is mostly subjective and dependent on your abilities to shoot more powerful calibers effectively and accurately
Hi, thanks for the video. At minute 04:35 you say you will solve the rail problem with a flashlight. I would love to understand why you don't mount a TLR-6 on your glocks.
I was at a gun store today and noticed just how tiny the Glock 42 really is. It looks more like a deck of cards than a gun, and I kind of want one. .380 can fit in any tiny pocket and even my small 9mm looks huge compared to them. They're still a poor choice for the money, but those .380s sure look fun to own as a featherweight to easily conceal.
rich and plumber really doesnt sound right...... i work in construction so i know..... he like so many of us has worked his ass off from day one to get where he is at..... stop actong like he just fell into alot of money and decided to buy guns..... its called ambition......
I was looking into plumbing but most companies they offer a good wage for high skilled labor but the benefits are terrible. Your health insurance will revolve around credit card payments. Most companies only match like 2% of your 401K contributions, and I bet you he's not investing much of his income on retirement. He doesn't know it yet but he's gonna have some problems later down the road.
I shot my p-10m today . Last week I shot my girscan mc1911sc last week . And my bersa bp9cc a few months ago . Those are my carry guns . lol I also worry about shooting my carry guns to death lol
You were right dude. I got my gen 5 26 and it shoots so much better than my shield plus or my p365 it’s officially my main carry now. I can even pocket carry it with a sticky holster.
I have the GPT in my 19 and 17 but haven't put one in my 26 yet. I carry mine 10+1 w/ a holosun scs. Love the 26 gen 5. It's my summer carry or even winter carry when my outfit doesn't let my 19/45 carry well.
I was just wondering, with your Gen 5 Glock 26, even though you haven't had any jams, have you ever experienced any slide failures to lock back on last shot? I am now at almost a whole 1,000 rounds with my Hellcat without a single Jam but I have had about a dozen failures to lock back on last shot which I don't consider that big of a deal I don't think that's going to cost me my life, but I'm wondering if the legendary glock 26 is ever known to do this from time to time as well? Thanks 🙂
Glock 26 gen 5 was my first conceal carry I can still pick that bad boy up and smack steel at 50 yards easy. I’ve been wanting to port one at some point
I rotate between an Sig P365xl with a mischief machine grip module and a 507k, a stock Glock 19.5, and a HK USP .45 Tactical for OWB under my jacket/flannel.
I just switched to my P30SK after carrying the Hellcat for a couple of years. They have 15-round magazines now that are not much longer than the old 10-rounders with the pinky extension, and they greatly improve the ease of shooting. I am a big fan of HK and Glock pistols. They just run.
I like the gen4 and gen5 Glock 26 and 19 the best. Like the texture way better. And the 26 always had same recoil spring so it’s same as gen3 for most part, few little differences
That pinkie rest helps a lot with recoil control like the german HK VP 9 SK because ergonomically speaking your pinkie is ferm and the more you get to the another ringers like ringfingers and middle finger must be more relaxed so your shooting trigger finger can be relaxed and focused on trigger manipulations. You can try it yoursef gripping the gun with a ferm pinkie, less ferm ringfinger and even more ferm middle finger to attain that optimal trigger feeling. You can even try to train your pinkie with elastic bands, this would help a lot female shooters or another shooters like me who like shooting compact Glock 32. Here is a good example to google on youtube, there is even a leather ring to improve that pinkie finger: "Typisch bayerisch: das Fingerhakeln | Deutsch lernen mit Videos"
My dad lives in Kentucky, he is British but is married to an American lady and has a green card which allows him to carry a firearm. He runs a Glock 22 chambered in .40 and a Colt Python in .357 as his home defence handguns , and a Smith and Wesson M&P Shield in 30 Super Carry for his his concealed weapon, he says that the extra magazine capacity of the 30 super carry was the reason for its purchase. Wish that we over here in the UK could legally carry a firearm 😭
@@andrewmorris5213get your dad to set you up with an American spouse 😂 lol right now Biden is fast tracking citizenship for people married to citizens.
The 26 is a great gun, carried my Gen 3 for years, I’ve gotten lazy in the last 10 years and have moved over to pocket .380 carry, in a holster, I do not notice a big difference with most micro 9mm handguns.
I like the Glock platform and clones that take double stack mags. Rocking a MR920 or G26 Gen 3 for carry. My CZ SP01 can shoot the nuts off a fly at 20 yards but it’s too heavy to carry.
Tf you need a rail for?? Are you a Police officer? Why you need a big ass light on a small subcompact gun designed specifically for concealed carry self defense scenarios?
@@PistolPeterson859yes it really is. Are you saying you’re aiming a firearm at someone and you don’t know if they’re truly a threat or not? That’s a felony in every state assuming it’s not a home invasion and in that case you wouldn’t be using a Glock 26. If I’m drawing a firearm I know there is a threat. You’re not drawing a handgun to determine if someone is a threat. If you are that’s reckless and against the law.
@@AncientHueman I agree 100% . I don’t need a light on my carry gun period. I always have a J frame on me , haven’t needed a light on that for the last 40 years. I recently got a 26 gen5 and Im glad it doesn’t have rail. Absolutely no need for it. Even for my bedside gun I don’t use a light on it. First off if something goes bump in the night your heart rate it about 200 and you point your weapon with a light on it and it turns out to be a family member coming home late you just point a loaded gun at them. You are breaking one of the 4 safety rules, never point you weapon at something your not willing to destroy. Yeah not a good idea.
Glock performance trigger is the bomb , no sight disturbance at all . Oem no liability thanks Glock you delivered. Yes g26 is the most versatile, shoots like a 19 in most people’s hands . K
RU-vid really ticks me off. I tried responding to three different comments on this video after leaving my own comment, and RU-vid made all three of my comments immediately disappear even though there was nothing I said that was controversial or argumentative or violated Community Guidelines. Completely wasted my time.
I'm glad for you that you can carry a single stack, but in my world da bad guys travel in groups of 2 or more , and these mfers got switches, so we need 20+ in Plead Guilty County Murderland. So I'll keep my +3 or more on my sig p365 xmacro
They're both really good "budget" options. People just have a "made in China" complex even though the majority of business in the US have sold out to them.. Chinas production quality has actually come a long way over the past couple decades
I have a few swamp fox optics as well as trijicon and holosun. The only optic I’ve had to send back was a holosun. The swamp fox has been very reliable and accurate
If you only shoot your carry guns, you wouldn't be able to shoot all your other guns. Like you, most of us like to shoot multiple guns and different guns and of course our favorite guns when we go to the range.
(Possibly) Unpopular Opinion: don’t shoot your carry gun, get yourself another identical one for training. That way your carry gun doesn’t get the wear and tear, you don’t have to constantly be cycling your self defense ammo out, and when you dryfire you’ll have less risk of a ND
