Good review, I own a Glock 43x and recently bought a used Glock 48 with night sights to replace my G19 I just sold. I am 67 and noticed a big difference in weight and size of the G48 compared to my G19 and I love the 48. Now I have two pistols with the same grip, one with a longer barrel that replaces my G19 and the G43x as my primary EDC. At 67 I don't care about capacity and feel if I can't do the job with 10 rounds, I might as well just run. I am also a very proficient shooter and practice weekly at my local range, so 10 rounds is more then what I need to do the job.

I originally purchased a G43X & recently purchased the G48. Not a fan of the trigger so after I put 500 rnds through the G48 very likely will install an Apex trigger due to their high quality and my personal experience with their triggers, as I did with the G43X. Now about the Shield Arms 15 rnd mag, on my G43X I too changed the mag catch when I switched to the SA15 mags but I ran into the problem that the slide was not locking back when the mag was empty. I contacted SA warranty dept the had me send in all my SA15 mags to inspect them. They found I had gen 1 SA15 mags so they replaced all the springs to gen 2 and returned them. Upon receipt some of the mags work but some didn’t. But the issue I had was 3rd party extended slide lock lever was not going high enough on the frame to lock the slide. So I replace the slide lock with the original OEM I had removed and the issue was resolved. Lesson learned; Must be careful with 3rd party parts which can affect the firearms reliability. Hope this helps someone.

Love my Glock 48, it is my first carry. My dad has the 19 and I’ve put many rounds down range with that, so the 48 felt like the son of the 19. Compact and very concealable with comfort(smaller Handel than the 19,slightly shorter barrel. I will admit I still shoot better with the 19 but I wouldn’t want to carry the 19 being the skinny guy I am, 48 works perfectly for me :D

Glock 48 actually has slightly LARGER barrel 4.17” vs g19 4.02” I didn’t notice the difference until I held both upside each other

I carry a 43X & I bought a complete 48 upper. Being age 71, I like the carry comfort. Today, I am using the 43X slide. Last week, I had 48 slide on the lower

I carry a 48 love that thing! Also have a 365xl in my household and I think the 48 is far superior, run a shield arms mag and an optic of your choosing and it’s amazing. My trigger isn’t that bad. That being said I am upgrading mine and I think everyone that can should

I have the same issue with the shield arms mag release and glock 10 rd mags. I still keep them loaded and in my bag. They won't drop freely but can still be stripped off. I didn't like it when it was new either. So gritty and sounded like a toy. But after a while after running it through its paces and installing a ghost connector, it is starting to become like butter. Nice and smooth and the grittiness is gone. It still has a way to go get caught up with my G19 though. My G19 is like a Maglev train. Doesn't even feel like the rails are even contacting the slide.

The G48 is the only Glock I would buy. I have small hands so I had to sell my G30 in 45ACP. When I held the pistol correctly my finger could not reach the trigger. The single stack Glocks fit my hand perfect and I love the full length grip and the longer sight radius on the G48. But in general I don’t buy plastic frame pistols.

Love that gun. I’m carrying mine today OWB under a suit coat. But I can’t stand Shield Arms magazines as the three I had, did NOT work as reliable as my OEM Glock mags. I just carry two spares and don’t mind a reload with an off-duty concealed weapon. I’m not chasing bad guys where I’d need my Glock 17 with hicaps on me. It’s about ease of carry with light weight when going concealed. Second, I love Glock triggers as stock for a purely defensive combat weapon. Putting in “imposter parts” for a defensive carry gun is not a good idea. At least Glock factory parts always make the gun go (((BANG))) when called upon to do so. With aftermarket imposter parts, you get maybe a 80-90% chance of reliability with that component. I’m not willing to give a bad guy the 10-20% tactical advantage over me.

Sorry to hear that the shield mags failed you. I typically carry a 45 ACP 1911 for my EDC so I do understand just carrying a couple extra magazines. And I also agree that for a carry firearm I would not really want to change the trigger in order to maintain reliability of the firearm. My first firearm was a 1911 and it did spoil me a little bit when it comes to trigger feel. I will say that I have had good luck with Apex triggers. And while they are technically an imposter trigger as you put it, they do make a darn fine piece. And they pretty closely follow the original design while just altering the weight enough to get a slightly lighter pull. But thank you for your comment and for watching the video

@@TheJimminiShow Yes I’ve heard of Apex making nice triggers. They also make excellent (gun smith fit required) barrels for the M&P 2.0 line. Yes I love 1911’s as well but don’t ever carry them any longer. My first 1911 was a Ithaca from WW2 as a gift from my dad. The gun reads on one side of the slide “Property U.S. Government.” The other side says “U.S. Army.” I was 12 when my dad gave it to me for my birthday. I’ve since collected 9 more 1911’s in 45, 38 Super and of course, 10mm. But even though my user name is Colt…. I’m more of a Glock nut. I own every Glock model ever sold in the USA, in 9mm and in all 5 generations. I also own all 10mm and .357Sig Glock models ever sold in the USA. I just love the plastic.

I've never gave Glock a chance cause of all the "beta males" that talk shit on Glocks but I picked up a G48 exactly like yours in the video (it's my first time ever buying and shooting a Glock product) two days ago for $450 and the gun functions very well and it's super comfortable in my hand from the second I held it at the shop. It's been turned into my carry gun now and I've already put 100 rounds through it with no issues I'm pleased with it.

Do your homework cuz, the reason it doesn't work with factory mags, is the metal mag release will tear up your factory mags, and your suppose to run the metal mags, with metal mag release and polymer mags with polymer trigger.

I have owned a few Glock 43x’s before but I recently bought a second Glock 48! I sold my original 48 that was the DLC black coating like yours just bought the silver slide 48 a few days ago I have to disagree! Normally I really just stick with the Typical Glock black! I think a lot of people ruin their guns with cerakote! This is my first two toned and I figured If was gonna be TT might as well come like that from the Glock factory! I typically just carry a Glock 19 Gen5 with Trijicon RMR or a Glock 45 with Holosun 507c but this silver Glock 48 makes me want to shoot irons!

Only the Mos G48 has the rail but you can run the tlr6 that attaches to the trigger guard I put that on my g43x but when I got rid of it I bought a 43x Mos and put the Tlr7 sub on it.
