Considering the pigment, I think you did a pretty great job👏. The pro in me offers this advice: instead of using a shiny base coat to paint the pigment on, once you apply your base coat, apply a layer of MATTE top coat, let dry, then apply pigment. Before applying stamped designs, apply a layer of matte top coat again, let dry. This gives the stamping polish something to grip to, plus allows to to use non acetone remover if you completely need to start over with a stamped design. As for stamping polish... any polish CAN be used as a stamping polish. Just do a test stamp first, if it works, put a piece of washy tape around the cap. Then you'll know at a glance which ones to grab😉.

I feel like crystal clear acrylic powder mixed would work. But you'd have to try it. Powders mixed works well. I've been dabbling in polygel. Not sure if clear polygel would work.

✨ Ahh, this was not a dumpster fire at all! ❤️ I prefer real and raw types of videos so we know what working with the products are truly like, thank you for sharing that with us. And GREAT work, Pompberry!! ✨ Love those nail-art plates, great designs! It all looks so cool, I love glow in the dark things, so magical!! I've loved glow in the dark stuff since I was like 4 years old and that will never change! ✨ As for nails, polish, stamping, nail-art - I can barely paint my nails as it is so all of the issues you've had while filming the stamping here have put me off from stamping. I use Holo Taco products and they are amazing for us non-nail-art types, lol. I do a main color that has holo glitter or the Unicorn skins over a black base on an accent nail. Voila, I'm good! Right now, I've got a gorgeous orange glitter (Zyler) as the main color with the accent nail painted black with a fiery orange to green unicorn skin over it - perfectly Halloweeny! As I love Cristine's glitters and unicorn skins, I'm basically set. Her one coat black polish is amazing! ✨

Quick suggestion. If you lightly buff the surface of the nails so they’re matte, it makes painting soooo much easier. I really love the design! I wonder if the pigment would work better mixed with acrylic powder for fake nails? Stamping. Oh, heavens, yes! It can be super frustrating! Couple of quick tips: gentle, even pressure with the scraper (I use an old rewards card too!) I can’t press to pick up designs...I have to roll the stamper over the plate AND the nail. Learning acrylic sculpting was way easier than stamping, for me. You did great!! Thank you for sharing your process with these nails, and they look terrific. Love, light, and blessings to you and yours, and can’t wait for your next video!

Completely adorable! I'm not a nail tech or an artist, but I have had acrylics for years. My only thought is whether you could use that pigment dry, without a medium. As in, pour a little pigment into a bowl, paint a bottom coat on the nail, roll the nail surface in the dry pigment, than top coat/do another layer? Either way, they looked amazing! Can't wait for the next Pompoween video

They look amazing! I have been considering getting that pigment, and now I’m sold. I find that using super chalky/grainy pigments like glow in the dark pigments, its easiest to dust it on to a tacky surface like mostly dry nail polish or the sticky inhibition layer of a cured gel polish. Using a fluffy brush, just dusting it on and working in a few layers it helps it glow really strong and evenly. I found it lipstick completely eliminates streakiness. I love your videos and you creativity inspires me to be more artsy.

Oh what a cool look!! 😍🎃💚🖤 Congrats on all the effort you put into the nails. They look really good!! I can also highly recommend *Maniology* for nail stamping. They regularly update videos on nail stamping techniques and designs, and my favorite is the *no smudge top coat* they released within the past year. Even when I'm tired and being pretty sloppy, I find the no smudge top coat to be pretty foolproof. 👍

I saw another video with this pigment and they also had a big issue with the pigment will not desolve at all. So I have already ordered mine so maybe a builder gel might allow the grit to be less noticeable. Here is hopping .... but also the nail polish was a great choice. I use gel polish so I can try that also. Great video 🤟👍

They look very nice. I would suggest going the gel route. Press the pigments into the tacky base or on top of gel. Then you topcoat buff file and then proceed to art and finishes! Hope that helps. Every glow pigment, even ones that are made for nails are usually chunky from not being able to mix the products well enough. Since you have the pigment I'd go gel. But if you love glow nails and want glow acrylic I would buy premade glow. You can get 6 colors for around $40. Thanks for sharing!! You look cute and dope af at the same time! I'm a lot too, lol!

I have glow in the dark stuff that is liquid that I brought from a Spirit Halloween Store several years ago. I put down a layer of clear then the glowy gunk then top with a clear coat. Just gotta make sure every layer is completely dry before going on to the next.

i've only ever used bundlemonster stamping plates, and they work great for me! maybe they're etched differently? regardless of the troubles, the end result of these nails look great!

I have been working with lit and I too am just starting out, I was entertaining using nail polish as a paint mixed with lit and I can see it won’t be a silver bullet. I think mixing the paint with the brush is probably not the way to go. I have been doing that too and I think I will look for some soft thing on a stick that is a bit like the paint brush but not. Maybe the dusting on of lit to a sticky surface, like culture hassle’s “stick” could be a way.

I absolutely loved these! I use LIT and everything stuart semple. The super base is the best medium to use with it to make it not clump up at all.

How would you use superbase in relation to nails? Mix up with water and superbase as instructed then pain on and top coat? I'm considering mixing with clear gel but unsure what ratio to mix it 🤯

@@kellet1984 so just the superbase and lit powder would be fine to use as its own nail polish due to it being an acrylic. The best way to use the lit powder on nails without any issues or streaking I using it as a dip powder. It works AMAZING as a dip powder. Gel or poly gel might be a little tricky to get out clumps. Hopefully this helps. :)

This is exactly my experience with nail stamping. I love the effect it can give and it's fun sort of. But it just doesn't work all that well and you have to try and try and try again. I think I might pick up the born pretty polish that you're using because it looks like you're getting a much better result than the stamping polishes I've tried.

I am curious if it would work to put down a layer of base coat and then roll the nail in the pigment powder while it's still wet, let it dry, and then seal it in with clear.

If you want to do this again in the future you should try a Top Coat Gel polish (with a tacky layer) and then apply the pigment straight to the nail with a fluffy eye brush. I think maybe that might work better? Lol

maybe you should mix it with a popsicle stick or something instead of the brush that you are going to apply maybe that will help the phat puffy brush issue hope it helps

I love love love long painted nails, but I can't do my own because of my tremors... My hands shake too much, and they always smudge before they can dry fully.
