Removes glow plugs from 6.2 and 6.5 heads. Will work with other 10mm hex head glow plugs also.
Made of stainless steel. Make sure to lube the threads before use.
Might work on Mercedes, Oldsmobile, Chevy, GMC, VW and Ford to name a few. If your glow plug has a 10mm hex head and will fit inside the tool it should work for you.

I purchased one of these from Leroy Diesel for a swollen glow plug. Worked GREAT! Just the tip broke off when I pulled it because it was so swollen and easily fished out after pulling the injector. Shipped fast, too.

What glow plugs have you had the best luck with? I've been using AC Delco 60Gs, they seem to do alright with a manual glowplug switch.

Can anyone tell me ...does removing the Glow Plugs relieve the Pressure in the Combustion Chamber ? If not, does removing the Fuel Injectors release the pressure in the Compression chamber? I am replacing the Flexplate and can't get to the Bolts on the Torque Converter and the engine won't spin over from the Crankshaft bolt. Thanks in advance !

I "think yes" if they are like the 7.3, 6.9 it will. If your not sure what 7.3 look like maybe go to auto parts store and compare yours to it?

Are glow plugs common to break or get stuck when replacing?

sometimes... especially certain brand plugs, and or if it is in a 24V system with 12V plugs and a resistor pack... when a plug fails they go out of balance and get too hot.

I have a 2012 duromax and this has happened twice already. Less than 100k mi. First one came out after a hr of wiggling it. Now I have one that won’t come out. So Agravating

EDIT: Forgot to say this also, the glow plugs are non magnetic. If a tip breaks off you will need to clean the tip out by reaching in with a tool of some kind to clean it out. Something as simple as some tar (something sticky) on the end of a dowel/stick could work
