I started taking both glyNAC and liposomal Glutathione two months ago, after seeing this and looking at a few peer-reviewed studies. I was only taking it for broad generic reasons - but after about a week I suddenly noticed that my ['incurable'] post-chemotherapy neuropathy was noticeably better. After a certain point (around one, one-and a half years), supposedly the pain and pins-and-needles of neuropathy after chemo don't improve. And there is no treatment - pain killers don't work - although for a very few anti-depressants help slightly, but I don't want to mess with my healthy brain and would rather just cope with the pain. But so long as I take it daily, each day it is slightly better, continuously; and now two months on my neuropathy is nearly gone. It is rarely 'painful', mostly just tingling. So is my 'burning mouth syndrome', also something for which there is supposedly no treatment. I'm stunned and delighted. Thank you for putting me onto it - even if you didn't recommend it for peripheral neuropathy! I hope this comment might help someone else.

Taking GlyNAC is great but be aware cells requires different amount of glutathione and you risk to deregulate (having to much) if taking liposomal glutathione, there is a phenomenon known as “reductive stress” when ROS is decreased too much, it can result in cellular damage

@@glenntimberlake2413something you may want to mention to your friend is to look at Vit B6 toxicity. When I started taking a B complex, even multivitamin with higher B6, my neuropathy flares up. I m here…at the DNA repair proteins…and this is not only fascinating, but you explain it so well that even I can understand it! Thank you! My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 2 months ago. I discovered your podcast about studies combining fasting (causing autophage) with chemo. We do intermittent fasting, 20 hours a day. He was considered terminal, and two months later his blood levels of alpha fetylprotein show barely any cancer left! A short way to go, but the doctors are amazed. (We also cut out sugar, carbs, starches and most sugar substitutes, which ‘feed” cancer according to some other studies I found.) These studies need to make it out to the general population, and you are helping make that happen!

I'm 47 and started taking GlyNAC a couple of weeks ago, and the changes are mind-boggling. Better mood, more energy, no pain anywhere, tinnitus gone, WAY better attention/focus, no brain fog ever, no sugar cravings, more motivation. What the hell?! I'm shocked out of my mind. I thought I'd maybe feel a little more energy--this was not expected. Why are we not hearing more about this?! Edit 4 months later: I still take it every day with breaks now and then because I do that with most of my supplements. I still feel much better when I take it, but it doesn't effect me as strongly as when I first started. I DO still feel better mood, less brain fog, easier sleep, and simply better in general when I take it vs not. Just like with any supplement, it will effect different people differently. Clearly, there's something in GlyNAC that my body really wants/needs. Perhaps it's something I don't naturally make well or don't absorb well via food. If it does nothing for YOU, then maybe you just don't need it and should look elsewhere for something that clears up your issues. Also, I don't know what about my post triggered demanding people, but people who comment on youtube aren't here to be your answer bot. Do your own research. I did mine, and don't know why people can't do a "what's the dosage for GlyNAC" google or AI search... or just look on the friggin bottle when you buy it.

I had to chuckle when you mentioned that 80% of your viewers skip to the conclusions in your videos, but I am not one of them. I do not have the background to process most of the research studies you cite, but am deeply interested in gaining some insight into their outcomes. You are my Rosetta Stone that bridges my world to this knowledge. You have the ability to consume this research and pigeonhole all of the useful nuggets and, in turn, allow me to attempt to gorge on those morsels. Not only do I consume your videos in their entirety, but I frequently find myself rewinding and re-reviewing items that I didn’t understand the first (or second or third) time. You are a marvelous resource and I very much appreciate your exhaustive efforts. It opens up a view not typically available to a layman which allows me the equivalent of speed reading with my eyes closed. 😊😊😊

As you requested, I'm writing to let you know that I made it through the part where you described the DNA Repair Protein's activity in the repair of DNA damage as it winds around the histone proteins. I have to say, you're the first researcher that I've heard, mention the process of Ubiquination. I am incredibly fascinated by the topic of epigenetics! I got my introduction to the topic by reading Nessa Carey's book "The Epigenetic Revolution", where I learned of methyl- and acetyl- epigenetic tagging, to increase or dampen the transcription of the tagged portions of the DNA molecule. I was in intellectual heaven! I hungered for more so I bought a textbook on the subject and quickly realized that I didn't have sufficient brain power to assimilate and utilize all of the data that was quickly being yielded by the nascent field. Thank God for scientists/researchers like you! I appreciate your breaking down the research and science for mere mortals like me!

Thank you a thousand times for this - for an unexpected reason. I began taking GlyNAC after watching this as well as Liposomal Glutathione, since at least one non-rodent study I found said that did escape the rigours of our digestion. A week later out of the blue I suddenly noticed the constant burning pain in my feet from post-chemotherapy neuropathy was reduced. I cast my mind back to what that might have been due to - since I'm well past the point where the oncologists told me it would no longer improve, and the levels I had I was stuck with for life. I could only think of one change to my diet and it was the GlyNAC/Glutathione. Of course there is always the placebo effect - even if I didn't take it for neuropathy and had no expectation it would help. However, that was four months ago. Every day that I took two doses, it was a tiny bit better. Ever time noticed it wasn't better, I realised I'd forgotten one or both doses. Four months on, it is about 75% better, and I'd describe it as 'tingling pins and needles' rather than 'burning pain'; even if I've walked 15 kilometres that day. This is really life-changing for me. I hope it might someone else with supposedly untreatable 'neuropathy'. Thank you for this video!!

@KawenaGD
@KawenaGD Месяц назад
@@Lulu-kt6gr Hi Lulu, so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope this might help but of course it's only one person's experience and might be meaningless. I hope you find something that works for him. I've done two things - and I can't tell any difference between them when I swap back and forth. (1) Liposomal Glutathione (2) 'Glynac' - I bought Glycine and N-Ac separately as capsules on ebay (I'm in Britain, so finding this might be different for you.) So it's a few months off a year from doing this, about 10 months I guess. The neuropathy hasn't gone completely, but some days I don't feel it at all and other days there's a slight buzz or burn but nothing like it was. I think I might need to take a higher dose - routinely I've been taking around 1000 mg of each once a day, but you can certainly take more. One unexpected discovery is if you buy powdered Glycine, it looks and tastes EXACTLY like sugar - amazing, a natural sweetener with no aftertaste that is actually good for you! So I've started adding it to things as a healthy sweetener. Only downside is it's not cheap, so it would be expensive if you made it a total sugar replacement for cooking and baking. But if you can afford it, worth experimenting with! Good luck and I hope it helps.

Fantastic presentation! I have learnt so much. In 2008 I was diagnosed with ms; my relapses are more often and my recovery it’s harder and harder. I have never been a fan on DMT’s but after my last relapse from August last year, I have done some intense research on some vitamins and amino acids, and peptides. Wish I had all day to go through this but it’s impossible. Now, I am getting stronger and stronger by the day only because of supplements like glutathione, NAC, NMN, silicium, lions mane, Vit A, D + K2, and some others. If my health condition is being kept under control is not because of the DMT’s, it’s because of the extra supplements I have been taking. But this is what I do for me; please do your research and read about all side effects and what might interact with what ever other meds. I’m not on any atm; just vitamins, good food, god’s blessings and being mindful of triggers around me. And my both arms swing back and forward during walking just as a it should. I’m so grateful for such videos; I am healthier because of such videos. Thank you so so much.

As much as I enjoy learning, especially from scientific and medical lectures, I'm never able to watch more than a few minutes at a time and stay engaged, no matter how interested I am in the subject. After about five to seven minutes, I'm a "skipper". But you called us "skippers" out from the beginning. I felt guilty when you explained how it impacted your analytics (I'm also autistic, so anything about data catches my attention). I figured I'd keep the video playing in the background while working in order to help your algorithm. That lasted maybe three minutes. Then I couldn't do anything BUT watch the video. They take suitable supplements, love nature, eat well and are not indisposed. What might be particular about them is their curiosity about learning and life. Life-long learners who continually adapt. In these cases, the old model idea of what age sort of looks like, is not followed. One of my relatives said 80 is the new 50. She bikes daily and wins in her handicap at golf continually. She is just one of the coterie I mentioned.

I became interested in GlyNAC not because of anti-ageing, initially but because of the restorative benefits of NAC for so many other issues. I am amazed, seriously. Thank you for your analysis of these foods. I usually combine Glycine, NAC and Glutamic Acid every night before bed. I knew that combination was a great way to clean the cells. You gave me a lot more information about the underlying mechanisms. I appreciate your time. By the way, I don't think it's a good idea to eat NAC without also eating B-Complex. Otherwise you increase the risk of increasing Homocysteine in the blood vessels. I think homocysteine is one of the leading causes of diminished metabolic capacity as we age.

Tremendous explanation. I learned about this combo, read the original papers and have been using it for ~ 2 years. My health has never been better. I dance in and out ketosis effortlessly, like a young child. So, I eat carbs, and I still generate ketones. Meaning, to me, I get access to all 3 major fuel sources all the time. One interesting thing I have noticed is that my caffeine sensitivity seems to remain/reset at the caffeine naive user level.

I am 73 and started taking a glutathione supplement orally that reduced the components of glutathione to nano sized particles for instant absorption via sublingual. I was recovering from covid19 and found within 2 weeks my ability to workout was greatly enhanced. After 4 weeks it was greatly enhanced, and I no longer had to use my knee braces to support my impaired miniscus on my left knee and a patella on my right knee that had been fractured 2 years earlier and had not healed properly. That was last September. I know can play pickleball several times a week here in Florida 2-3 hours at a time, without using knee braces, and I outlast most seniors my age here in The Villages. I just ordered NAC and Glycine to be part of my daily vitamin supplementation, but I get instant recovery using my hyrostat glutathione in between matches anytime I start feeling tired. I do maintain my electrolytes during play, especially with summer tempartures now in the 80's and 90's.

It helps me to trust the recommendations for Glycine & NAC.
