Thanks a lot man I was actually using the tool upside down before I saw this video. Replaced the ball joints on my 93 Corvette no more steering wheel shake!
I just hammered mine out with a 1lb sledge. Took about 3 or 4 hits. Piece of cake. No special tool required for removal, but I did need that to install the new one.
@Greg’s Garage: Great video. Popped one ball joint out in just a few minutes. Took longer to set up my pressing tool (which is like yours) than to press that ball joint out.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all the new series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last couple of days :)
Interesting video, even if you did use the balljoint press completely backwards. I guess it works. But it would probably have been easier if you used the tool in the correct way. Oh well, nice video either way.
@@gregs_garage How can you use it backwards? I Just removed a ball joint from the same type control arm with the same kit and it worked just as well as when you did it. I think I even had the same shirt on. Thanks for doing the video!
This doesn't work very well for a 99-06 2WD sierra/silverados :( they got a wierd ball joint. The Z71 and 4x4 are fine but the 2WD are not unfortunately.
