Thanks for this video! What are the differences between the Chevy Colorado Desert Boss edition and the GMC Canyon AT4X? I really like the Desert Boss with all the features, but I do love the GMC upgrades to the interiors that I’ve seen in the past.
I was wondering the same thing. If they have the same features for about 8k less then I’ll go with the Chevy. I’m definitely ready for an upgrade after seeing that interior.
The only differences that I’ve noticed is that. I haven’t seen the heads up display on the Chevy, the interior is upgraded in the canyon, the canyon also comes with a winch and 30” light, oh and the bed rails
Wow, this truck looks amazing. $63,000 is a hard pill to swallow. What are the main differences between the zr2 and the AT4X? Are there any? Are all of the approach and departure angles the same?
Taco Stans will always puke up something about reliability etc but really the Tacoma has been living on the reputation it earned back in the 80's/90's for years now.
And into the 2000's. Consumer/brand tribalism aside, this new Canyon is sweet but wish American companies would do away with the planned obsolescence so 20+ years later, you'd still see people seeking out and buying these trucks for top dollar.
@@scottvaj4434 I think that the 2nd Gen Colorados are solid minus some of the transmission issues that some people are having. I feel Toyota has fallen from the top of the reliability… from the mid 2000s on they have been plagued with all kinds of reliability issues. I’ve owned a few myself and have had nothing but issues.
I believe the AT4X first edition price is 64k. Its loaded to the gills with every available option. I have to hope there will be a more basic AT4X release afterwards simular to the 2023 Colorado ZR2.
@@reflectivefocus9044 well if your bank account can flex it then by all means get er done! Atleast you'll know you will have everything available to you option wise in a possible limited run vehicle. I just want all the capability without all the bells and whistles within a 48-55k price tag. If I had to swing it... 57k would be my absolute limit. Anything beyond that for me $$$ wise in a midsized vehicle doesnt make sense.
Great Video and thank you for sharing but a couple of things I would not compare a ZR2 to an AT4x, rather compare a ZR two desert boss to an AT4x. Yes they are Quite expensive but they really offer a lot. It seems like they designed the suspension the wider tract and the wider body in concert as opposed to the full-size truck which seem to be designed and they just fit it with bigger tires and the DSSV shocks. both are expensive but right now everything is.
That looks tough. Idk. Still partial to that ZR2 Desert boss but I'm digging that front end on the Canyon. Almost 64K. Whew, that's a lotta cabbage to come up with. Great video as always.
Those are normally called limb risers. They’re to keep limbs from riding up and scratching the hood or hitting the windshield when off-roading in dense wooded areas.
There having a lot of problems with these new engines. ...i will stick to my 2022 chevy colorado zr2. There still selling trucks with an aluminum drive shaft, unbelievable. Lol
@@DustinFaddis you are correct, it doesn’t even have a diesel motor option, and to make it an off lander more money have to be put into it, like a rack, bed etc.
$63,000 is too much and there is no diesel. I'll keep my 2022 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Diesel. I would love the new tech but won't give up my diesel and 25 mpg.
Yeah a 63 thousand dollar Tacoma would have both lockers a blower a manual transmission and full king suspension and still have 15grand left over I would take that anyway of the week and I currently own a zr2 and have owned a Tacoma offroad these little gadgets and cameras are a joke ooohhh it has safety features that are useless woooooowwwww people have become so used to useless tech and screens
The new GMC is a premium luxury midsize truck - Tacoma is reliable & dependable, but not a premium luxury truck. It’s like comparing fruit to vegetables - not the same.
@@carolinawoods-n-water4392 why? They're both mid sized trucks? Of course this is the at4x edition 1 but I think any trim of the canyon should be comparable with the tacoma trim line
@@jonh0130 again, it’s comparing a luxury truck with premium materials to one that has never been that & probably never will. Besides that, how many people are going to take their premium AT4X out on the same rock crawling trails as the Tacoma? It simply isn’t a comparison that is equal.
