I really like the oponeness of Gnostro. He doesnt say "noncreature spell" like any other jeskai commander does. He just cares about spells. Maybe thats where people get turned off from him?
Amazing ideas ! I didn't know I could be hyped by this commander. An equipement or two that can gives Deathtouch for the commander would be nice as well imo. And maybe the typical Talrand and Guttersnipe. Strixhaven gave some more tools to spell slinging decks in the meantime as well.
I was trying to build Gnostro for myself because I was looking for a spell slinger deck in Jeskai. And I honestly felt a bit dishearted after a few test games because the build I had just didn't feel impactful on any level. This... This is giving me ideas of changes to make to make this deck feel better!
A sleeper hit I found in my Gnostro deck was Swans of Bryn Argoll. It's gonna draw your opponents some cards, but it's flying blocker that's hard to get rid of and you can target it with our Gnostro's damage ability to draw a ton of cards, making the swans more valuable to you than they are to others.
I'd add - Guttersnipe and the like - Brash taunter/ the voodoo doll card so you can transfer damage from your commander to players - Equipments that give deathtouch, like that 1-drop that gives deathtouch and lifelink so gnostro can straight up remove creatures on a whim.
Dark horse decks are fantastic and I really like your ideas for this critter. Have you played the deck? How successful is it? It looks amazing fun to play, and appears to be fairly budget friendly
it's good if your opponents don't run a ton of removal. it's what i call a "monolith commander" if you don't have it in play your deck doesn't do much.
@@edhdeckbuilding with Feather in the deck she's good backup, maybe a couple more creatures that like being spell targets. I feel like Goldspan Dragon will fit in here,
@@edhdeckbuilding I was just curious but what are your thoughts on running illusionists bracers with this deck since it's hilarious with cackelburr because you get to go truly infinite if not dangerously close to it
