Live in the country. Rural Australia kicks arse. You want to go outside in the nude. Chances are no ones around so thats ok. You neighbors are kangaroos so you don't have to look far for a good steak if you own a gun. An the area is so desolate it means the roads are empty so you would be very unlikely to get a speeding fine. An if your a serial killer thats fine too. In the outback no one can hear you scream. The last ones a joke. Obviously.
Sydney is a tale of two cities: one is constantly gloating about how expensive housing is, the other is constantly whinging about the price of housing. There's nothing else to talk about in Sydney.
8 years out of Sydney. Here are the highlights my friends and family have given me I've missed out on: 'It's really cold' 'it's really hot' 'everything is more expensive' 'house prices eh....' Sure missed a lot....
I'm a backpacker come from Asia, right now I staying in Sydney, the video is so ture, especially in the night time,I hardly to find anything fun in the city night!
You won't catch me at Bondi, my favourite Sydney beaches are Balmoral & Palm Beach. Come on Tom, you could have done a bit more sledging, surely? That cameo by Catriona was the best! 😅😅😅
Sydney is starting to remind me of London....not just the expense parallel but how parts of the city have such separate identities that they do not mix...like people not going to north or south London.. people from Eastern suburbs or the insular peninsula going out to Sydney's west...there's more than one Sydney now
London is like that because it grew up from a medieval town. Sydney City is like that because its right next to Greater Western Sydney which is like a separate giant, country town next to a global city.
The worst thing about Sydney is the divide between the west and east. It really is like 8 different cities. Inner city/eastern suburbs Southern suburbs Northern beaches Inner West Parramatta/hills district Liverpool/Fairfield/Bankstown Far south west Far west
That stuff about King's Cross and the nightlife is actually rather sad. Our biggest and most famous city yet you can't you can't grab a beer after midnight... Embarrassing
Last year I went to Sydney from my home town of Melbourne. I was shocked to see the CBD almost deserted at 8pm on a Friday! No shops, no events, just a couple of bars here and there. Completely dead. Come to Melbourne, where the Night life actually thrives!!!
Yep describes my hometown perfectly. Now do Gold Coast where Schoolies ruined everything up there, full of amusement partks and more importantly Marons.
To understand the funny part of this video you've got be an Australian to understand otherwise you wouldn't get it, i didn't get the funny part of it but I like Sydney is like a small country town to relax..
What’s the only best thing to come out of Sydney? The Plane to Melbourne. Why didn’t Sydney have an earthquake at the same time as Christchurch? Cause there’s some things even the earth won’t swallow.
So cringe, I love it 🤣, it's exactly how marketers try to sell sydney as a tourist spot, if you really wanna get an honest description about sydney, just ask a local.
A major reason Sydney is so expensive is due to government central planners rules and regulations such as the globally uncompetitive high minimum wages and penalty rates which makes it very difficult for small businesses to hire extra staff and be open for longer hours. Such irrational laws penalise consumers and business owners and unemployed people. But we never learn. There is a false myth out there that if penalty rates are removed businesses will somehow exploit workers which is a load of nonsense.
