In THE UNTAMED were spectacular scenes with Wei Wuxian. Xiao Zhan was the ultimate charismatic actor for this role, despite he was not an experienced actor yet. I can watch his scenes in the library, when he made good natured fun of Lan, or on the roof top...and so on again and again. I am always awestruck, and l suffer, and endure with him all the injustices, lies, hypocrisies of the martial arts families, clans, and tribes. I have not seen another drama of this kind, where all the characters were in-depth portrait with their strengths and weaknesses as in this one. Thank you. Good edit.
WWX's suffering was the main story for me. Don't know how anyone would be blind to it. Personally I think he suffered the most of anyone and I found his story most heartbreaking among many heartbreaking stories.
@@terimiller1813 Definitely! For me who suffered the most were wwx and wen ning. Like my guy lost his whole family except one and is doomed to live like humans but he's no human anymore. Even if he wanted to cry he can't, if he wanted to touch something he gotta be extra careful to not break it. People still treating him as a monster and so on.
The whole story is centered around WWX's suffering, not LWJ's suffering. WWX was accused of everything, even if it wasn't his fault. The entire world wanted him dead except for a few, and those that didn't want him dead ended up being killed themselves or punished severely. Very few took the time to listen to him, or even give him any benefit of the doubt, not even his own adoptive brother who grew up with him and should have known him better than that. To me, WWX was probably the best person, next to LWJ, in that land. No matter how he was viewed, he strived to protect the innocent, even at the expense of his reputation. He was never swayed to do what he believed to be the wrong thing, even in the face of the masses opinions. He could always think for himself and was never swayed by group think. He was compassionate, willing to sacrifice his own happiness for the sake of those that he cared about, strong in both mind and body, intelligent, resourceful, and had an honest personality. He didn't hold back in saying exactly what was on his mind. Sure, he wasn't perfect, and sometimes he went too far in dealing with people, but his inherent nature was not and never could be evil. That's why he was the best person to hold on to the Stygian Tiger Amulet. He was probably one of the least likely people to use it to become powerful and rule over the world. He had no ambitions to be a ruler, no desire to claim a throne of his own. He didn't hand it to Master Jin, because he knew that was what the Jin Clan desired. He was protecting everyone from yet another ruler like the Wen patriarch. And that made him even more enemies. It still makes me wonder how anyone who had actually met him could think he was lying or deceiving anyone, considering how open he had always been with everyone about everything. But like he said, people just needed someone to target in order to make them band together and feel better about themselves, and he was in the crosshairs because of his unusual cultivation. I hated seeing how everyone treated him. I cried every time he did. For me, he is one of the best characters I have ever seen on any show. I couldn't stand to see him suffer like he did. It broke my heart watching someone who was actually good at heart and with such a vibrant personality being torn apart like that.
normally i'd not like this kind of song, wishing someone to go to hell, but in the STORY i could understand it. WHY didn't they use this in the soundtrack. You really do feel sad for the one guy
