This segment had me crying. I'm half way through the series and I have a feeling there's going to be more of that. Although Wang Yibo is young, he proved that he is a natural and gifted actor with his portrayal of Lan Wangji. With minimal dialog and the nuance of his facial expressions, he projected powerful emotions that was clearly and strongly conveyed.
It is so true... I am a big fun of both of them... XZ is a fantastic actor as well as WYB, and I believe that there are not so many actors in China who woul be able to play the role of Lan Zhan so well as YiBo did... thank you WYB, XZ and the whole crew...
What made me dissolve in their love is that mix of that lan wangji's long wait for wei wuxian return and his deep love for wei wuxian which kept him hurting and struggling with patience. Loosing him was making him helpless but he never stopped searching and had his hopes upright. It is too painful to read even as a third person, let alone him to go through with it. I am contented because its a happy ending but this feel, which lan wangji's love gives is extraordinary, can't replace by anything in my heart.
they both suffer. actually, Wei Ying is the most most tragic hero I've ever read or watched in stories. their tragedy isn't caused by love triangle or misunderstanding for each other, but caused by the society they live in, by the majority around them, and this made WeiYing so tragic, he cannot fight the society, cannot fight mass bullying

He doesn't express himself and so, only people close to him can predict him and understand his wants, unlike wei wuxian. In my eyes wei wuxian is clumsy about love and relationship, but if he realise something he never hesitate to express himself. In my eyes, lan wangji's pain for love is more hurtful and deeper than wei wuxian, why? Wei wuxian was always satisfied even by his own death. He blamed himself for his shiji's death and chose to sacrifice himself by his own will and without feeling anything he was in silence for 16 years unlike lan wangji. Lan wangji lived every moment with that unbearable pain without his beloved person and searching for his trace during those 16 years. He never gave up. He did everything to find him even after he witnessed his death by himself. Yet again he was tough to hide all of his inner sufferings due to his nature. I just feel its too much to breath with bearing this much pain in a heart. Only thinking about it turns me with extreme emotions. Maybe I am passing my views by being only emotional, but the stuff this thing hit me with, I am blind to see any other expects. @@surbhikharche2317 not to mention how it hurts to watch someone you care deeply about do things that will eventually hurt them. Watching them suffer is painful. And feeling unable to stop them and at the same time feeling unable to stand beside them due to societal pressures. The most obvious painful part for me was when he asked/told his brother that he wanted to bring wei ying to his home and hide him knowing that wei ying would never want to do that. It illustrates his helplesness in keeping wwx save.

Lan Zhan is everything to me!!! Wei Wuxian is perfect and charismatic and beautiful. Lan Zhan is that quiet, reserved deeply loyal, stoically sensitive presence that once you notice, he’s indelibly embedded in your heart and soul. Lol just seeing images of Wang Yibo sometimes puts a lump in my throat! 😹
I like to think that even when people saw Second Master Lan or later HanGuanJun, Wei Ying has always seen Lan Zhan. I hope that you will be able to find your own Wei Ying and won't repeat Lan Wanji's mistake of pushing them away. :) Hang in there
Can you just imagine the pain Lan Zhan had to go through loving Wei Ying? The months of not knowing if Wei Ying died at burial mound, the second time Lan Zhan witnessed him committing suicide falling off the cliff. Sixteen years of looking for Wei Ying's because a body was never found. I sometimes wonder how Lan Zhan kept his sanity.
Wang yibo is a versatile actor. He played this kind of rigid Charecter in untamed and also played cheerful, playboy, talkative xie yun in legend of fei. I can't find no common thing in between these characters except they played by the same actor. Such a good actor
At 2:43 when weiying was looking at lanzhan with a smile and then that smile suddenly changed to pain. I just don't understand what they were feeling during this show to potray such good emotions. I just can't get over this show.
The untamed and the novel are master piece of work, adrama with no romance but still hit me hard than those romantic ones...I for one will never move on...

This song is so on point because Lan zhan isn’t made of stone he has emotions and it hurt him so much to watch wei ying learn the thing that killed him and the people he loved and all Lan zhan could do was watch it happen
I just finished the novel and I can’t imagine how can someone love another one as much as LanZhan loves WeiYing. It just broke my heart to pieces after realizing how much he suffers 😔

OMG I was the same as you. I was about to watch the show and anime when the comments told me they were based on a book. Now I'm half way through the book online and watching all the videos to put faces to names so I can keep everyone's million plus names straight, not to mention all the family / friendship connections. I am so afraid they won't end up together and I will be devastated.

Lan zhan was always there for Wangji when no one believed him. He protected him in evey way possible. This relationship was and will be forever the best relationship I have ever seen in a cdrama. Wangji and lan zhan deserved way better. They showed us what true love is and the way they sacrificed everything to protect each other is just unforgettable. I wish I could forget this cdrama so I can rewatch it again.
Wish Wei Ying can understand how many pain that Lan Zhan had and how much he loves him... LZ even turned back to his clan and helped WY at Nevernight fight.. And more and more... He Just did everything he can, to protect WY... I mean it makes me sad alot.. Lastly, thanks to our precious Zewu Jun, WY knew how much LZ loves him... Best heartbreaking character, Greatest friend exist, Best Lover : Ofc our *Lan Wangji* Xian is the luckiest boyf- i mean *Friend* in the world 🤝❤️

Watching this again is an emotional experience a series that can bring heart wrenching pain with subtleness and yet punch you in the gut at the same time. Series well made, actors extremely talented. Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan can’t say enough. The creator that put this video together well done , Amazing!

He's actually my one of favs. The way you arranged the scenes really made think about how much Lan Zhan really did love Wei Ying and how isn't just a stone hearted person but rather some one who couldn't express himself and how he was feeling deep inside. I really really really like this edit. This is so far my favorite edit of the untamed. I love your editing style generally. it's not just aesthetic tragic scene, cut, aesthetic tragic scene, cut. It tells a story and has a timeline. Even though it's not the same timeline from the show. It exhibits the essence of Wangji's character so well. Torn between his clan and his beloved, seeing him rise and fall. Seeing him fall into darkness and despair as he can only watch and cannot stop that train wreck. Wangji, as you put it is one well written angsty character. He's a true tragic hero. And I love the way he's written and I love the way you portrayed his pov with your edit. Thanks. Like imagine you're Lan Zhan. Your life is as dull as it can be with following thousands of rules and living a rigid life, and suddenly this bright bubbly boy shows up in your life, annoying you to no end, and you gradually came to know that you like his company, but you refuse to admit that you have any feelings for the boy. And then BAM! The boy suddenly disappears for three months and you are torn, wanting to find him but you gotta do your duty, and then one day he just shows up as a demonic cultivator. And you have conflicted feelings about the path he is following. So you try so hard to help him but he stubbornly refuses your offer. And then you realize that you do have feelings for the boy and your hormones ain't under your control. And you accidentally lose control one day and make out with him while he's blindfolded, and then you immediately regret kissing him, and then the said boy gives you a shit ton of vinegar to drink. ANd one day the boy decides to do a good deed which makes the whole cultivation world regard him as a villain. You try your best to stick up for him, but no one listens to you. And then the boy loses control over his fierce corpse, and accidentally kills his brother in law, and everyone wants to kill him for that. And then you see the love of your life going through so much pain and suffering just because he did what he thought was right, and you could do nothing but watch, and when you finally decide to support him forever, he says he doesn't want to see you. So you do everything to protect him from the enemy and you get beaten black and blue for it and punished so severely that it took three years for you to recover. And then one day you get the news that the love of your life died and eventhough your whole body is racked with pain, you still went to see if it was true. Now imagine how heartbroken and depressed Lan Zhan must've been. Seeing your love hurt and suffer so much and not being able to do anything about it and eventually that love dying. Sometimes people dismiss the fact that Lan Zhan had to go through a lot and how ecstatic he should've felt when he heard the wangxian song playing.

Yeah the most thing that hurts is in series their love was hidden back but we all see what's beyond this. Truly i wanna say, after reading novel I felt a little relieved because I thought their love (they hadn't stubbornly shown any) throughout the series was too strong, and it was comforting that I wasn't wrong about it :)

He didn't want WY to love him just out of pity. Nd if we had actually got novel in lan Zhan's perspective he won't actually be the lan Zhan we know, that's what I feel. He is there , he is there everywhere in the novel u can actually feel it.
