The one and only time I had visited these magnificent Island Mountains was over 6 years ago. I needed to go back and bag the highest mountain on the Island though as it was one of my final on the list to get!

It's always an experience hiking in the Scottish hills with clouds and rain moving in. Thanks for sharing your trip - it makes me want to visit Arran and do some exploring of my own.

spent many easters on arran up to 20 years ago, aways as foot passengers, then catching the bus. etting the driver know where we wanted dropping off. then setting off back to brodick backpacking, and camping on remote cols, or most memorably under a'chir. waking up to deer all round.

great video Murray - for me the last (& only) time on Arran was 46 years ago! (September 1978) - including an ascent of Goat Fell from Brodick Castle.

So first off, that Arran Blonde beer looked delish, no wonder extra coffee was needed the next morning. Darling little waterfall (can a waterfall be darling?). BTW, "In a world of monochrome" could be the name of a band lol! Too bad the views were obscured at the summit, but was still beautiful, and seeing the view of the sea was a real stunner. Yum, your dinner looked scrumptious. Thanks as always, Murray!

@@ScotlandsMountains excellent can’t wait to see that I used the bothy at Dibidil which was wonderful and did a circuit around the corrie there but for a full traverse I did a backpack once many years ago and camped at the col between trollaval and Ainshaval it’s a tough walk plenty of scrambling but the best walk outside of Skye in all the Hebrides the views are incredible can’t wait to see your trip take care keep the videos coming they are fantastic and keep me happy as I live in Wales so only get up to Scotland a few times a year cheers

It's about time you got yourself back down to my home island again Murray, nice one! 😃 Goatfell is best doing the full ridge from Sannox up Cioch na h-Oighe, that's a grand adventure. Camping in Glen Sannox on a sunny day at the start of June is also recommended to see the setting sun's shadow create the Devil's face in Coire na Ciche (The Devil's Punchbowl). 55.6601N, 5.1667W : NS00904528 : ~43m is a cracking spot for the tent. Cheers!

Thank you Murray and co, beautiful video as usual 😁 Arran is still amazing even when you cant see the views, going to go there one day as its only up the road, I often see it enticing me to go walk there on the way to Ayr, it looks beautiful or foreboding depending on the weather at the time, very beautiful on a clear winters day with snow on the tops. It looks a bit like something out of LOTR on the horizon, lovely...
