This is just my opinion, for me i'm more prefer gow 3 moveset because is more look fast and fluid. gow 2018 is fluid to but not so fast to compare with gow 3 but the moveset feels more natural but there is to many slow motion when you try to use runic special attack and thats a bad point for me
Yup exactly... i think they removed the slow motion runics in ragnarok which is good! Oh and god of war 3 is and will always be my favorite game of all time!
While I love the two games comparing them is like comparing the original RE2 game with RE2 Remake. Both have highs and lows and are horror games but ultimately are two different gameplay experiences.
Trust me you all will appreciate God of War 2018 even more if you play entire franchise again. God of War 1,2,3, Ascension, COO and GoS will make you exhausted and you'll want something new in the franchise and that is where GoW 2018 wins.
Why the old moves gotta be runic attacks? Seeing Poseidon's rage would've been cool, or maybe Kratos could've learned new magic. Kratos is a warrior wizard remember?
Im so in love with GOW3...I played it a lot years ago and I forgot how good it is....How good all the old games are....Way better in all respects. At this point the franchise has been woked and PCed into oblivion and is full of noobs who are just having their daddy fantasies using Norse Kratos and havent even played the old games...He is a SHADOW of his former magnificence..

If you hated the change of the combat and stuff, try to remember that lots of people were done with god of war using the same mechanic and combat. they decided to change it up and there's still people like you complaining. no. the problem is that god of war 4 kratos is nerfed for the sake of the " cinematic experience" of the story. kratos cant jump anymore or destroy anything unless is part of the story. kratos cant just break a wall and go to the next area, no. he need atreus to go inside this tiny gap and do stuff for him or climb somewhere and wait for him to kick a chain lmao. is so pathetic, this is not god of war... this shit is the last of us .

@@FZJanimated OG GOW player here played them all and you guys that hate GOW for doing something different after dam near 20 years is weird. we had 4 big console games and 2 handheld of very very similar gameplay just different weapons which is fine they were fun but the story ended. It actually ended. So to be so angry that a new story about his son in another mythology did something different is just illogical. You can not like something without lying calling it lazy or bad when the vast majority of new and old players say the exact opposite. You're ok not to like something but your opinion isnt fact. The facts are its a weighted system with specializations in mind vs just level everything and combo as best you can. We had a decade plus of the same formula and a great tale that came to an end even with three prequels. Even Devil May Cry just now had its fifth game lol we got more than them. Although that one spin off was the completely different characters they hated. At least GOW Kratos is Kratos. He only holds back because he doesnt want to be the same as his youth murdering his entire bloodline which as a story most of us loved. And 6 hours of cutscenes but 36 of game play isnt bad when the cutscenes never last that long. Especially in Ragnarok. All games have their flaws but as a package both games were deserving of praise. Not gonna lie like other game devs hating on Elden Ring because they were salty it blew up lmao.

4 ruined the series bro so many repeated boss fights, Kratos needed armor like he can stab himself with the blade of Olympus but he can’t survive like 2 hits from a level 4 forest demon? And just the gameplay is so dull and boring
I agree! There's so many "new fans" because of GOW 2018. But the OG fans loved Kratos because of his abilities and ruthlessness not this new sob story they made for Kratos. 100% an insult to the original God of War!

He didn't. Just play the new games and you understand, he ain't the old self anymore full of rage and nothing to lose. In Ragnarok you can see that he is still pretty strong even the developer said that old kratos is stronger than his younger self.
