"To Grieve deeply is to have loved fully". "Open your heart to the world as if you have opened it to me, and you will find every reason to keep living in it". It's the 4th time I've watched this scene and it's still making me cry so much.

Just seeing Kratos struggle to show love but still somehow manage it is completely insane and shows how much Kratos really wants to grow as a man not a monster

Having been through Kratos' journey since the start of the series from the God of War till now...we can all agree that Kratos is one of the best characters in gaming history. The character development, story, emotions everything.

"And when you're gone, that part of me dies as well.." That one hit me right and straight on the feels.

As someone who dated and lost a beautiful woman to cystic fibrosis, this scene was an absolute gut punch. I've *had* this conversation before. And hearing Faye comfort Kratos genuinely felt like hearing my Flower talk to me. I cried so hard when I first saw this and it still kills me every time.

1:18 You can see Faye feels the pain here too just as much as Kratos. She knows her time is coming and she accepts that....but her heart begs for more time with her son and husband. Her fate or not, she doesn't want to leave them like this; they're all that she has left.

Deborah Ann Woll is the voice actress who absolutely CRUSHED it! Their dynamic is so sincere and vulnerable; it just goes to show how much Kratos really loved Faye, that he was so willing to step entirely out of his comfort zone. So cool, and so well written!

There's a reason why. Kratos told the story of the old man who asked for death to come to him. And then Faye says this. It is very fascinating how she plays such a huge part in building the story without even being in it physically. She is my favorite character in the entire series...

Everytime I see scenes with Faye I can't help but cry Either she is a friend, a wife, a mother, all combine.

This is the first time in the game Kratos wake up in total peace, after he truly lived how his wife would want him to. Man was free of all his regret then. What a game

You can always tell just how much Faye meant to Kratos, and how much he misses her. _"We will always walk together Kratos."_

I’m Ngl this lives rent free in my head, with all the chaos I’ve played throughout all the GoW games, this is what actually made me realize how appreciative the little things in life really are, but when she told him that grieving is a sign of true deep-love, man that gave me a heavy heart

There were many emotional scenes in this entire game but this one really made my eyes full up. Such great dialogue and acting!

How Kratos kneel and show a bit of his soft spot. Knowing he cannot change it but still wishing to have a different ending and how Faye comfort his husband...i love this scene

I am soo happy and grateful that Deborah snagged the role of Faye. I didn’t even know she was in this until after the game released. “To grieve deeply, is to have loved fully.” Is my absolutely favourite line in both games.

I love that Kratos’ wife is the person to help him become a better person. Faye teaching Kratos to open your heart and not close it was a really good choice.

Along with everything else that is great in this scene, that needle drop of Faye’s theme at the end is sublime.

I think it is the greatest moment in this game series and it is not exaggeration to say this, in all games. Almost everyone can feel how intense the feeling, the happenings in this moment, but this is so much more, it is the peak of a lifetime for such a character like Kratos, and more than that. The very culmination of his entire life, his fate, his path. It is a so ultra extremly strong, full of feelings. And, at the same time there is a story in it, what makes truly this moment. To understand this whole, we must see all the path what Kratos made until this moment. From the beginning, a cocky, aggressive, selfish person, who was like an empty shell, significant only in his deeds, but with insignificant inner sphere. A ruler can change only this world. A genius too, mybe more permanently. To change something beyond this world, to reach such a greatness to be capable change things far beyond this physical world, or even greater than that, to change our soul, that begins within, and able to leave a mark where all thing start. To show the culmination and the end, such a change in a game, well, it is amazing and incredible. Well done!

When she Said open your heart to it right here, kratos had a choice to make. In asgard when the midgardians were dying due to the war machines and ateeus said to close his heart and kratos told him to open it, that's the moment the developers said kratos changed his fate. In that moment thor was put up on the chopping block instead of kratos. If he didn't listen kratos wouldn't of gave thor the speech about being better and odin and thor would've both killed kratos together that was his original fate. Man this game is beautiful

Finally, after so many years, he sleeps peacefully, finally coming to terms with the past, present, and finally, the future.

Faye loved Kratos and Atreus so greatly that she decided to use the time she had left to keep expressing that love to them after she was gone

What an insane game such a strong compelling story got to this bit yesterday and wow has it left an impression on me

I placed 2 mugs on the table while my girlfriend was eating and poured mountain dew on the mugs then stared at her the way Thor and Kratos stared at each other. She said "what in the hell are you doing?"

This is the God of War, he has fought all battles, even internal battles, and always emerged victorious

I like how the scene ends with Faye putting him to rest in, a way, as if she's putting the dream him to sleep.

As someone whose fiancée who I love more than anything is dying of Huntington’s disease and cancer this really tugs at my heart strings. “To grieve deeply is to have loved fully. When you’re gone a part of me will die as well. Open your heart to the world like you did me and you will find that life is worth living.” Wow these quotes are so deep and make me cry. I was like young kratos angry vengeful full of hate want revenge and would destroy a pantheon for revenge. But now I don’t have just myself to worry about anymore. My gf is due with our girl in February and I will be inheriting a 2.5 year old son. I have to change to be a better man to be a good father the cycle ends here I must be better for them. I can’t raise children being like young kratos I have to change. We have been through hell these past 2 years but Becky is making me a better person like Faye did kratos and I didn’t know it was possible. Atreus is like 14 and kratos is teaching him to be a good person and to have empathy and not be the monster he was. Our daughter Emily will be 15 when Becky dies and I want to be like kratos to her when her mother my soulmate dies. This breaks my heart. This is more than a game this is a masterpiece and got absolutely robbed of goty the character development is insanez

honestly this game really pointed to the death of kratos this whole game. from him improving as a father to seeing faye in his dream and especially this last one. well done by the creators. i was on the edge of my seat wondering if kratos would die

I want the God of War version of Hel to turn out to be Kratos' daughter from Greece... And for Kratos to find out AFTER she kills his son. Whether that death is permanent, I'd have that depend on player choices throughout the game(s). Play like the old school Kratos, killing everybody and he will end the tale alone and immortal. Be more merciful? Kratos gets the opportunity to be reunited with BOTH of his children.
