Whoever feewls like this that God doesn't care because He is too big they might as be a Christiann then because that is the view they have. I know because I was one.

I'm just at the two minutes mark watching the video. I really would like your take on the following idea: I think the Mitzvos being for us is another way of saying, if Hashem does the Mitzvos, the purpose of the Mitzvos wouldn't be fulfilled, that is to say, nothing can replace us in the action. For this same reason, the fact that nothing can replace us doing the Mitzvos, no angel, no deceased, not even Hashem, then the purpose they are realizing cannot be ours by Hashem's.

“And now understand, the Shekhinah in Israel is not only a need of the commoner, but rather צֹרֶךְ גְּבֹהַּ (tsorekh gevoah), a need on high. For the unique explicit Name [YHWH], through the Glory [Elohim], receives an increase in Holy Spirit, and this is, May YHWH’s glory be forever, may YHWH rejoice in His works (Psalms 104:31). And thus Israel possesses the power to sap or invigorate above according to their deeds, for it is written, The Rock your bearer you neglected [you forgot the God who gave you birth] (Deuteronomy 32:18), and it is written, For Elohim we shall gather strength (Psalms 60:14)” (Rabbenu Baḥya on Exodus 20:1).

“Rav said... what difference does it make to the blessed Holy One whether one slaughters an animal from the neck or from the throat [as the law dictates]? The mitsvot were given only to purify people” (Bereshit Rabbah 44:1).

Or said differently, when a man wants a grandchild, he can get married and have a child, raise him and get him married, but in order to have a grandchild, he needs his son to have a child, he can't replace him into the act of conceiving, otherwise he would end up with a second child, so the only way he could get a grandchild is when the child accepts to conceive a son with the wife that his father appointed for him.

Saying "God doesn't NEED the mitzvos" doesn't mean God doesn't care about the mitzvos/us. Once God set the ball rolling with creating us we are then in a position to be cared about. But our whole existence is not NECESSARY for God. That is why it is ultimate chesed. Chesed born from need is not ultimate chesed.
