Just received my AD200 a few days ago. You are the best at walking through the menu functions of any video I have found. Godox needs to hire you for all there products and incude your video instead of their manual with all their products. Thank You! Smashed that Like Button and Subscribed!!
As a rule... never EVER let your Godox AD200, AD400 or AD600 hit the ground (especially hard surface) with force, either by dropping it or having a stand it is mounted on fall over. They are fragile and damage WILL occur. They are fantastic products, just need to be handled with care. Protective sleeves may help, but if the impact has enough force, internal damage is still likely.
I would think this would be common sense. Lucky for me when my AD400 was blown over a couple weeks ago in a parking lot it only suffered from a couple scratches. I thought it was done for! My C stand with strobe and modifier weighs approximately 30lbs, plus I had the stand weighted down but the wind does what it wants when it wants.
GreenRC24 Relieved for you that your monolight was okay! 👌🏻 People overestimate sand bags and think they're a be all end all… There's a reason people keep a crew of assistants who man their light stands outdoors. But then again, with a Flashpoint/Godox light, your contingent liability on losing a strobe to accidental damage is likely far less than what you'd have to pay an assistant on professional jobs. You're NOT gonna break a strobe on every assignment, far from it, but ya gotta pay an assistant if you're getting paid and likely even if you're not. End of story. Do you use an extension head, though? I have one for my 600 Pro and couldn't use a C stand without it, even indoors. Too risky. They're $109, but you'd lose far less on breaking one of those than breaking a $650 strobe.
Great video, and well on your way to being a successful content creator. Just stop doing the bubble pop sound and it would be perfection, but like I said, everything else was solid! Keep it up!
Happy New Year Rob ! a quick question if you please ... will the ADB2 accept a AD200 and a AD200pro at the same time on it ? or do we have to specifically have 2 AD200 or 2 AD200pros on it at any given time ?
Color stability mode makes flash duration longer in order to keep the color of the light more consistent. Having CS off is basically the Godox equivalent of the Profoto “freeze mode” and allows a shorter flash duration. If you're shooting any kind of motion, shorter flash duration is necessary and will get you wildly different and clearer results, especially in the studio where ambient light is cut out completely. Watch Lindsay Adler's video where she freezes motion in the studio, the motion being splashes of water. But color stability makes the color variance much smaller for when you don't need to freeze motion, particularly with product, fashion, beauty, or general portrait photography.
Hmm... the menu breakdown is not entirely accurate I'm afraid. The S1-S2 setting is only active when using the flash optically triggered, not wirelessly. The F8/color reliability mody can only be used in manual, not in TTL or Multi mode. Apart from that, everything is covered correctly imo.
We bought this flash unit and the flash tube connection (bare bulb head )won’t fit . Possibly we’ve been sent the wrong one. Only problem ,we bought it Oct 2019 anyone know how to change this?
Balbisiana check you have the pins aligned correctly, I doubt very much you have the wrong bulb! Watch RU-vid videos of the bulb being inserted! Line up the thinnest pin with the thinnest hole!
I've read online that the H200R Round Head with not fit the AD200 Pro, is this true? There are currently 4 reviews on B&H Photo that state the H200R will not fit due to the pins not lining up.
There was a batch that came from Godox that didn't fit however this issue has now been fixed for all future revisions. Best to check with B&H if they have the latest batch.
Making notice notifications that a mobile makes every few seconds is really iritating, why would you want to keep looking at my mobile phone every few seconds, i truly do not know what you were thinking this is a thing with you, i like you content, but i am going to have to stop watching your videos
