My favorite part of this is during the Gigan fight when the Power Rangers villains are cracking jokes, then Gigan screeches and starts smacking the Megazord. "Guess he doesn't like trash talk." It's so funny

I am surprised that they managed to make one of the most evil godzilla in more of either heroic or Neutral role (of course Godzilla in Hell also give GMK G neutral too)

I wished we had gotten to see more of the rangers exploring the Godzilla universe. Rita gets acquainted with the Xilliens. But I also think Miki could've made a cool ally to the ranger team. But the fact that this comic acknowledges how Rita Repulsa is on par with the Planet X Controller? Top tier. Would read again

As you pointed out, this crossover is straight from the imagination play time of children and kids-at-heart everywhere, and that just makes it so much better. No, there's no philosophical waxing or political intrigue or morals to be learned. It's just straight up all the BIG monsters and robots fighting each other and getting more chaotic and awesome. The kind of stuff Pacific Rim is made of.

Warner Bros. has the Godzilla license. They could put Godzilla up against the Justice League, where he's fed Kryptonite, and becomes Super Godzilla (from the SNES game).

No, IDW has the Godzilla comics licence, Warner has a deal for a set amount of films and nothing more, they don't even get full merchandising rights for the legendary stuff.

Godzilla AND the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers?! I loved both as a wee 90's baby, but for some reason, I NEVER considered a crossover. This is the comic I never knew I wanted!

Zone Fight canon is awesome! It explains the fate of Showa Gigan and I like how King Ghidorah fights him but still escapes. Ultimately gets killed in Destory all Monsters from 1973 -> 1999.

Power Rangers has had a strong track record with its comic crossovers. TMNT and Justice League were both amazing. And this one in particular was my personal favorite. I have a feeling this happened because Toho has probably considered asking Toei for a potential collaboration with Super Sentai at some point. So this just worked out even better then usual.

Probably has to do with right issues because of Godzilla being from Toho while Sentai's footage is from Toei along with Saban being an American company which owns PR, with Godzilla's copyright rights being in different companies

Thank you for this review MIB. I for one enjoy this crossover. As a kid that was born in the 90s (1993, the same year the power rangers were introduced in America and when I was born) I always dreamed for Godzilla and The Power Rangers would meet. 29 to 30 years later my freaking dream came true. This was the biggest smile to my face when I saw this happening. Damn....I am about to turn 30 this year. I am getting old now.😂

I love that crossover, because I grew up with Godzilla and Power Rangers. I always wonder what if Power Rangers could crossover with Godzilla because it makes sense since Godzilla used to be Tokusatsu while they still use Tokusatsu. Now I wonder if they could make Godzilla crossover with Transformers or Star wars or Pokémon.

I was trying to think if there have been some other cool crossovers between Godzilla, and while there have been some neat ones here and there, a lot of them seem like just merch crossovers rather than story crossovers. Godzilla and Evangelion was one of the exceptions, though--that was pretty cool. Also, maybe that City Shrouded in Shadows game, with Godzilla and Gamera and Evangelion and Ultraman and Patlabor--even if they don't really meet each other! That was pretty epic. Strangely, while Godzilla doesn't actually meet many other famous monsters, the Power Rangers had some crossovers in the comics. I read their TMNT crossover and it was really awesome! I want to pick up their crossover with the JLA too. Thanks for the video!

This was my childhood dream crossover!!! To see it finally come to light in comic book form made my inner 9-year-old scream with utter joy and happiness. This is the kind of crossover I love to have godzilla in, not something like Ants, Hello Kitty or some other weird crossover. But something like Power rangers, it makes total sense. But, what I think of the comics themselves??? Well, if Batman vs. TMNT hit a home run then Godzilla vs. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers just made another.

This is one of the better comic crossovers full stop, the concepts are already compatible with one another so the story feels much more organic than something like Batman vs Spawn etc... and does a better job with the monster battle royale setting than Final Wars did.

I really enjoyed seeing two of my favorite properties team up. However, I wish we'd gotten some more of the "good guy" kaiju to come in and help save the day with the Rangers and Big G. I originally thought Mothra would come in and the Shobijin would be the go-between for the Rangers and the good guy monsters. Oh well, it was still a ton of fun and it got me giddy every time I got a notification that the latest issue had downloaded. Hopefully with that "?" at the end of The End, we get more!

My only complaint is that we didn't get some cool Mechagodzilla/Megazord combination ala the Turtle Megazord from the MMPR/TMNT one. Which is to say, its got a baked in demand for a sequel with that alone.

It's true' you don't hear a lot about Zone Fighter and his anniversary is coming up soon! I hope you plan on doing a video on him also yeah its really hard to get' very few people outside of Japan own a copy of the tv series and even fewer with English subtitles for it! I believe I'm only one of five people who own a copy of it with English subtitles and the only one in Canada who has it! I've only had my copy since May 24th' 2022 so about seven months and counting, it wasn't easy to get but I can claim as one of the few who has one. Also its a real shame what happen to Gigan' he also almost killed King Ghidorah on Venus, a planet that King Ghidorah killed everyone on over 5'000 years ago' boy that would have been ironic if he had died there.

If only things like this could get more than a comic. Not live-action, for that is almost always an origin story, but a toy line, animated movie, etc. would be cool, and get more attention.
