Yep. The one take away from this is to look at it like a photo book and see where you with the family. Man good and bad times. But better times are to made a lot more
I remember watching this when it was just uploaded on RU-vid. This was a much more "relaxed" Goggins that I forgot about, like it is weird to have him not swearing or yelling.
it’s crazy that this was dropped 10 years ago and goggins is just now getting the recognition he deserves. just shows you that you have to keep grindin!
I understand Brian what you’re saying. I first heard of him in 2010. But here is where you misunderstand the whole situation. David goggins doesn’t care about receiving recognition for his accomplishments. He never did all this to have people care about what he did or does. In his interviews he doesn’t even really have social media. But uses I think Instagram to share some motivation and he says he gets on like once a week to post and get off. He only does this for his fallen comrades and to get money for the families of those comrades. He wouldn’t care if no one gave him recognition
@@balwc147 i wonder how much of it u need to do to keep looking young ? like i do 5km every day i reckon it could help, i probably wont reverse ageing as well goggins does but i guess it helps somewhat
Crae Z no that look in his eyes is called being in the zone. It's the quiet place in our minds where pain doesn't exist and only people who have been involved in extreme or competitive sports know the feeling. And artists like musicians and painters and race car drivers etc. can't describe it to someone who never experienced it
@@donaldtrump6386no attention for avg ppl ,ppl thats gonna spend 80 % of there life sedentary ...we are talking bout a elite athlete and a marine here
Ive been following goggins since I was a kid. Im no longer a kid, now I am a police officer with 3 years on, and still serving in the Army national guard as an infantryman. Stay hard.
Same. I used to think athletes were dump and professors were smart, but people like goggins seem extremely smart because they undersatnd how the mind works and do the impossible: continously influence their own mind to break through its limits. Tons of respect for this guy
In the Joe Rogan podcast, he said that when he started training for his enlistment, he was 297 lbs. He went to run, and had to stop after about a quarter mile. Afterwards he said, he went home and cried. There's an extreme gift in all of us; it's just a matter of finding what it is, and becoming DRIVEN to unlock it. Goggins is always saying that, "motivation is crap, because it comes and goes. You have to be driven. Because when you're driven, any obstacle that's in your way will be destroyed." He's a machine, but he fashioned himself into one, from an overweight exterminator; a normal person.
"In 2004, Goggins graduated from Army Ranger School with the distinction of enlisted "Top Honor Man." Goggins is the only member in the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEALS training, U.S. Army Ranger School and Air Force tactical air controller training." M-A-C-H-I-N-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"And he has pickle smell, not just the trait, but full blown pickle smell. I don't know how he does it - he also has painful boleroids. I think he also has cancer, cancer of his back vagina. He prefers to call it that because he says back vagina more accurately describes its function. Oh, and he poops like a horse ...out of his back vagina. No time to stop, stopping is for fucking pussies who aren't SEAL Ranger Combat Controllers ...yeah, but do you even operate bro!? He doesn't even know a second language! He probably never even killed a religiously infected Muslim! He didn't even go through SFAS or 1st SFOD-D ha ha, what a fucking want-to-be stolen valor PUSSY!" Who the hell comes up with this shit!?
"You've got to be a good individual before you can be a good team player." Well said, David. You are a fine American and an inspiration to all athletes.
This is how David lives his life. Remember, this is not most of us should or will live our own. We all have different struggles and goals in our own life. David was on a talk show and had some really great things to say about his life, and how we can take the same ideas and apply it to our own. But he's not saying we all need to go and nearly kill ourselves to feel fulfilled. The world needs doctors. The world needs leaders. So don't watch this video and say, "i've been living wrong, i need to go out and nearly kill my self running." It goes much more in depth than that for all of us.
Wildstyles and that is only if you can be bothered. Plenty of people are happy sitting back taking it easy and reading a book and having dinner parties. Whatever floats your boat and gets you through life.
I deliver frozen french fries to warehouses so people can order them at fast food restaurants, I just drive a truck. between loads I lay on the bed in the back and watch netflix on my phone. I'm basically a hero
I always think of this interview when I see goggins content: interviewer: So when you're running, you're running for hours- goggins: *days.* absolute silence for a few moments 🥶🥶🥶
I used to live this life, and this mind-set is powerful within the human body: unfortunately I almost died, and had to stop. I have never been able to go back, but maybe from the words of this one man I can go back without going "too far."
It's so crazy, the type of crowd he attracts is bullshit motivational type. But like damn this guy isn't bull shit motivational he embodies what he says which allot of guys in his scene can't say. This man is fucking real and it is hard to imagine that a man would submit himself to the hell he does day in and day out. Goggins truly is one of the most motivational people in the media since he's done the seemly humanly impossible when he started off so low. His no bull shit mentality is something I aspire to have some of one day.
shows you from then til now. his narrative never really changed. a lot of stories change when people start getting alot of attention; his story never changed. the same principles are there. solid guy
David Goggins admitted this on Joe Rogans podcast I think its episode 1080, and whats crazy is while he was a seal already active duty he had a hole in his heart that went undetected that he was born with and it was about the size of a quarter, he should have died a long time ago when he began the journay of in my mind turning the pain sensors in himself off or becoming so numb to the pain it doesn't mean anything anymore till he hits that point and surpasses it.
TROLL...when NOTHING pretends its SOMETHING. Love to see you talk this smack to this guy's face. But we both know that trash like you can only do big things behind a keyboard.
zutrue I don't think the guy was trash talking him...it was just a silly joke....more importantly, I'm worried about this runners knees. There not made for this.
Do compare yourself with this guy, but not his feats, his mindset. He started barely being able to hit a 0.25 mile. He went home and cried because he couldn't hit his goal of running 1 mile. The comparison shouldn't be with what he can do now, it should be with what he endured to make himself able to do it. Goggins built himself into a beast through years of conditioning constantly bettering himself and making himself good enough for what he wants to achieve. Compare that to your own and see what you've really endured to make yourself better.
Be your yourself dont be like Goggins nor Bruce Lee nor another Mike Tyson. Be the greatest version of yourself and ur own role model. So no comparisons!
Crazy to find this again. I used this as motivation to enlist in the navy in 2011. I used to watch this video and other SEAL ones. And just found this again on my feed. I haven’t seen this in 10+ years…
This is motivation for all. If it's possible for Goggins to do it, it proves its possible for anyone else to do it. I remember when I first got into endurance training, I was training 7 days a week for hours (literally). I ended up developing knee pain. Part of me wanted to use that as an excuse to slow down, but the other half wouldn't let me. I pushed through it and the knee pain eventually went away days later. It gave me confidence knowing that pain is temporary. Train hard, take it one step at a time and never ever give up.
I remember watching this video in high school and thinking to myself, "what a beast". Little did I know how much he overcame to become who he is (after reading his book 'Can't Hurt Me').
im in the british army( air assault infantry) and david goggins inspired me to do long distance running...if im lacking motivation ill watch 1 of his vids.
Something tells me he doesn't do a "normal work day". Goggins is my inspiration. I just did my first ultra and thought of things he says in this video when I thought I couldn't take the pain anymore. Thank you David Goggins for what you do and what you stand for.
@@richbookoo 😂 dude woke up and chose to be a child 😂. 3 miles is rookie numbers dude. I run 7 kilometers to work a day, 5 days a week in work boots. You're in a country that uses miles well google what 7kilometers to miles is. And since "you have kids" and most definitely "aren't a kid" yourself then the answer should be simple and straight forward. Unless you're just an ignorant child which is exactly what you sound like 👍. My kids are 6,5,2 & 2 months old. Surely you're not stupid enough to think doing this instead of taking responsibility and being a father is better use of my time? Lol
I had a bad ankle sprain a month and was told It should take 2 months before running. David is the motivation that got me to go on my first run 3 weeks after, instead of 8. Painfull, but I managed and added cycling to my routine the 4th week. Now 5th week, still a tangle, but I do it nevertheless.
An amazing individual. Motivated by the desire to achieve excellence and serve his country. There are many like him in our military and that is why it is the best in the world. Keep pushing the limits David.
Goggins the typa guy who boards a cargo plane that will surely crash into the Pacific Ocean, causing him to washup on an uncharted island, JUST to make his daily run more challenging.
i watch this once a week every week. i hope goggins realizes his true meaning in life (to motivate) and starts a fitness podcast or becomes a motivational speaker
Because this man is Real From Heart to Soul. He do it for Himself, Never for Money or Fame. Thats What's Life is Made for. If you Listen to What your Goals Are and Really do Them for this Accurate Reason Money and Fame Stand Far Beyond Acheviement. That is Real Success.
I looked up to dean karnazes but then I found out he doesn’t have the build up of lactic acid which does make it easier for him to run then I found David and now he’s my favorite guy out there because he got to this point through hard work and drive without a genetic condition. Legend.
