piffiiiiiiit Have you ever made a video in your life ? I don't think you understand how fast we are going, there's no way of picking up good audio unless I set up mics in the engine bay. I was on vacation with a go pro, not out filming a movie.. I am also sitting at the back of the boat, there are no wind screens, much different then filming from inside a car...
It would have been nice to hear what the riders actually heard. I will never (I believe) get to go that fast in a boat. I crew for a pro mod drag boat that does 170 but it only has one seat in it. For me even the wind noise would have been fun to hear or feel.
@@jerseyjoe1677Totally! As much as I hated that insipid shit noise that soy boys call music, listening to one of them scream while he wet his pants would have been worse...
Wow! To think that I was pumped when I hit 53.1 MPH with my M35, documented by a GPS tracker. Then again, my boat is 3 ft. long and is powered by 22.2 volts and 50,000 RPM. Traxxas makes this boat and it's a blast to run.
@@puttingwarheadsonforeheads9872 - Never had mine flip and I've run it many times. I only run it in early morning when the water is very calm and wind is light. It's also critical that you don't place the batteries too far back in the hull as they are the heaviest parts of the boat.
@@puttingwarheadsonforeheads9872 Well then, i guess I'm fortunate to have a large pond surrounded by forest, so it is wind protected to an extent, but is always calm at 6:00 - 7:00 am - like glass sometimes. I avoid lakes just for the reason you cited, they are almost always a bit choppy or worse. You probably never have to worry about overheating as the water in Maine is ALWAYS COLD!
Absolutely gorgeous boat thought, All the leather and suade and electronics. God i can't even imagine the price tag or gas bill for that beautiful beast
My boss has a boar kinda like this. It's a Fountain twin hull design like this, only his is only 33 feet and has three blown Chevy 350's on the back instead of the twin engine like this. He told me each on was 700 hp so he's still short of the 2700 this beast is putting out. None the less, it's a blast to ride in and I am not sure the top end, we were doing well over 130 mph and that is PLENTY fast for me, and that was only for a short distance. Our average cruise speed was around 100 mph. We went from Clearwater to Marco Island in Florida in a little under two hours, which that trip is just over 160 miles. That included the no wake zone. So yeah, we were carryin' the mail as the old saying goes.
When I was in my mid 20's I fished buddy bass , tue and thur and when I first started , we would take out and the boat I was in would start chime walking at about 76 mph and It would take me 10mins to quit shaking everytime we would stop at one of our spots, I had a ball, I wonder if Keith Enloe is still fishing, heck of a great guy, big as a oak tree, but A heart the size of him
??? Wanna be able to fly out if something bad happens, So no seatbelts.??? Either way, hitting the water at 170+........ Your toast. Thats world class speed right there. Extremely nice boat. Well done.
Sesame Street beats while throttling up ruined my morning wood. Some simp below said you can’t hear the motors at that speed. He clearly never owned a power boat!
Awesome boat! That's insane speed. Been in all out race 17ft Hydrostream "Sneaky Pete" Race Vector with race Evinrude CCC at 110mph in the early 1980s and I still remember it like yesterday. 170mph is amazing in a boat and it looked so easy and smooth. When I hung on to for dear life in a stream it was a rollercoaster x10. lol
Passes everything.........except a gas station. Beautiful boat. Water was like glass and im sure its fresh water so no flushing. I owned a boat..not like that but it did get frustrating when everyone wanted to ride in it but never help me rinse it down or cover it..Now I go to Cocoa Beach and watch the powerboats race. Man I am Jealous lol
Lucky for you I was not on the boat. One of those seats would have been heavily soiled! Guy mentions seat belts. Other guy says you don’t want to be tied to the boat. Apparently you’re supposed to be launched like a missile just before hitting the water which will feel like concrete @ 170+MPH!!! Ahhhh, never feel a thing once you touch the water a few hundred times as you skip across the lake like a stone skipping across a pond! BE SAFE GUYS!
Just got back from Sicamous when I saw train tracks sideways it was Shuswap lake how long did it take to get to the Shark Shack stop in at reds to see Mike and Johnny they will take you on the Phiffie Anne!
That is sick. Not one to throw stones but what happens when a random bee rams into your eyes going that fast? I would definitely be at least wearing glasses, better yet goggles. I guess no fear with the windshield providing enough updraft for any errant insects? My eyes were watering just watching the video.
