Personally, I’ve followed you for years and will continue to do so purely for being interested in the journey. I’ve seen GNC Tom, competitor Tom, Ibiza Tom, in a relationship Tom, fashionista Tom, Hyrox Tom, Yoga Tom….I couldn’t care less if you do or don’t take gear (nor should I, it’s not my body). I follow for the transparency, the entertainment and the great content.

Think it’s important to note rather than you just fucking off your previous MO and silently hopping on you addressed it with your audience that as you say, for better or worse have followed you for years and developed some kind of relationship with. Trust is huge and I think the fact you’ve chosen to front it rather than giving your audience two fingers and cracking on regardless says a lot about you. Strapping back in for the pursuit of mass. Totally agree with the motivation when on cycle, I have seen in the past when I've been off or on really low levels that my business suffered. But then when I've been back on, the motivation and drive leads to better decisions that push the business to levels I would never have expected.

I used AAS from 19-24 (I'm 30 now) and honestly I feel really similar. I miss the drive and heightened sense of living it gives you. Training post AAS is pretty shit, probably harder than it is then those who've never used. It's not really just about how you physically look, but I do feel it drove me far harder in business and helped me achieve a lot in my 20's. I've struggled to have the passion for training, and sometimes business, since, which isn't great as it's relying on AAS to train. I haven't gone back on since, but do still think about it. You're doing everything as safe as possible, and you should do what's best for you. Training on AAS is pure euphoria.
@NicolaiTschenow7530
@NicolaiTschenow7530 9 месяцев назад
Can relate, exactly 19-24 here too. Afterwards I've definitely experienced more anxiety (despite my hormone levels being in good range) But I've realised it's more because on AAS I experienced so little anxiety, I nearly forgot what it feels like.
@storyrole
@storyrole 9 месяцев назад
@@NicolaiTschenow7530 I think one of the issues is receptor downregulation and maybe things that haven't ever been studied. I'm on private/NHS shared care TRT now and one of the things the consultant said to me is that ex-AAS users often don't respond like people with low test caused by other reasons, the NHS max dose (125mg/week) keeps my level in range but honestly I still sometimes get low test symptoms.
@seanlewis4544

Hello mate, sorry to hear about your colitis diagnosis. Have you made any dietary changes? My mrs has had it since a kid, before we got married she had it really bad. I was trying to convince her to cut out grains, tomato’s and milk. It was gone in 1 week. Whenever she needs to manage it she just cuts all that crap. Also bpc 157 has been studied for colitis for over 20 years I think and they’ve been preventing it from going through, it’s known to be great for the gut. All the best mate
@MrNojoi

Interesting. I’ve had a lot of the same thoughts as I close in on 46. Life is better optimized, and I congratulate you for doing it. Gear really is a bit of a Pandora’s box. It’s as you mentioned not all physical. And that mental enhancement is no joke. I would argue that’s the harder part to let go of. I will add that getting older isn’t for the weak. Everything will slide eventually. Pick the right battles and just give a bit of reverence to dosages.
@TMCycles
@TMCycles 9 месяцев назад
I agree with this, from a physique standpoint (if it wasn't due to the stomach issues and feeling like I'm behind on progression) I was quite happy knocking away at it natty, but I know what this feeling is like when 'on' and how it effects, enhances almost all of life's optimisations
@baldyo7
@baldyo7 9 месяцев назад
What compounds and doses do you think give the best mental advantages? Just from your personal experiences

@@baldyo7Tri-Test at 230mg/week split between two doses, pregnyl at 10,000 usp with each test dose, CJC-1295 at 10 units nightly and I’m set. I keep an eye on the axis and implement an anti estrogen when the numbers dictate it as that balance for me tends to fluctuate with stress and diet.

Most people start the gym/bodybuilding because we try to fill a hole. I think we would all be lying to ourselves if we said we started the gym for health reasons. Most of us started it because we didn’t like the way we looked and we felt ashamed, we saw bigger guys seems to get more respect and so we wanted to become massive because we thought it would solve all the insecurities we had in our head. Steroids then add to this and make us feel ‘better’ but really we’re just trying to fill this hole of insecurities we’ve had with external influences. There is definitely nothing wrong with working out, but dont think its going to work everything else out. Tom, I think your a great guy, but seriously think is this decision really helping you, or just covering up demons. Perhaps the reason you ‘miss the feeling’ of being on gear is because you feel uncomfortable with yourself when off it. Im sure many people could say the same about cocaine/alcohol, is the answer to then continue chasing the high, Or workout what you thought is was giving you?

I followed channel for years and was a member of the site but when you transitioned away from BBing to the hybrid athlete/Flow period I tuned out 🙋🏻‍♂️ i have come across this vid and it couldn’t have come at a better time - I am (and have been for years) been conflicted between 2 oppositing and contradictory drives - love of BBing vs the obsessiveness and strict restrictions it puts on the rest of my life. I struggle with balance and am a recent late in life ADHD diagnosis and im trying to figure out how i can be more balanced and change my mindset to allow the bits of BBing that work for me without sacrificing other things in life i have for years. Like you i easily blame BB for unhappiness, but then previously have swung the other way and quit only to be as if not more unhappy and go back to it and regret the wasted time and steps backwards. I've never taken anabolics, but I have great genetics in terms of proportions at least. I got into an injury at 22 in my torso which kept me out for years, as rehabilitation for the pelvic floor is on another level of "tough" and "slow". When you got off anabolics I knew you'd go back because it is what you love, the way of life ofc not the oil or needles. I never understood the stigma some want to push or the hate. Besides, as someone once said, there is no such thing as hate. We "hate" only the ones we are jealous of. For whatever reason. So if anabolics make you successful and happy, those who "hate" do so for those 2 factors, no one gives a sh*t about the muscles themselves. I hope this makes you feel even better in regards to that "angel voice" that wants to hold you in the present. I've had my fair share of them and my fair share of anxiety and stalling and "colitis" (or however it manifests) due to a breakup. But, time dissolves everything and slowly but surely we find our way back to balance and doing what we love. I've been watching this channel since before Josh (another youtuber) got into his first steroid cycle. I still remember you calling that bloke who was typing sh*t on comments about steroids 😅 But I watch because you're a character that I feel I can absorb elements from and improve myself. Ultimately, that's the essence. So I'm gonna be rooting for you Thomas whether you are on anabolics or not. If I saw someone reckless and dumb abusing substances or drugs and being weak-minded I'd leave. This isn't the case here. 👍

Awesome video tom. I think the fact you didn’t try spin some lame excuse to why you’re choosing to go back on like most influences would do speaks volumes.

I’ve never felt the same since stopping test 3 years ago. Feels like something is missing, especially mental clarity.

There is no need to explain yourself but that being said I think you have explained yourself very well. To deal with the idea of going back “on” can be tough in itself, let alone to do it some what in the public eye. Also quite hard to deal with if you had a previous belief to that people should only take gear if they compete. I’m going through something similar and I can relate to a lot of what you have said benefits of eating, focus and for me also, relationships. A bigger thought, and something I’m sure you’ve thought about is coming completely of or doing TRT? But… that is a later question for future and not something to worry about now. Creat Video mr cycles! Ps would love to see more content on your business plans!

Yes mate, things can change, especially with regard to TRT, if I can implement a protocol to still have children then I'd stay on, that's the only single reason as to why I'd ever come off, for fertility reasons
