That is b.s. about “boodle fight.” Communal eating of food outdoors over banana leaves has long been a tradition even before the existence of Philippine Army, although not called as boodle fight. The sad part is that Phil. Army in war zones do not have enough MRE’s.

I Remember When I Was Young Before I Migrated Here in The USA, I Lived In The Province and Every time They Have Special Occasions, People’s There doesn’t Have Enough Plates For People’s to Eat So They Spread All the Banana Leaves in The Tables and Put All the Food Whatever They Cook And Everyone Can DIG IN Specially The Elderly in The province like To Eat in Banana leaves …. I was in Russia, their faces really like that because you cannot smile outside or else your mouth will never go back to normal as it’s freezing cold there! People there are so educated and they don’t put their noses to other’s people business mostly if they don’t know you whatever race you belong to. They might be white or pink kn skin color but their tradition is very eastern asia, close family ties and they respect their old people

It is a misconception because i aske a Russian lady who i worked with here in the US and she says that once you come to know them they are really warm people.

I went to Manila to visit my family in September it’s always raining. I hope there’s no typhoon when you visit. Just enjoy the malls and stay indoor. That’s what Filipinos do. They hang-out inside the mall. No wonder there are lots of malls in the Philippines 😂
