Good job man !!!! Great REAL LIFE video and tips for us!!! Enjoy your time off!!!

Thanks buddy. I will try to enjoy the much needed break. If there are certain things you want to see in my videos, let me know. I’m sure there is much more I can show and tell that I can’t remember at the time when I start recording 😆

We deserved time off, Alex. Your content is inspiring although the loads can be scarce from time to time. I'm running a 98 Pete 379 with a 48ft flatbed and it seems more satisfying in your setup than the big rigs. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I have never had experience in a semi so can’t compare but size wise I would think hotshot is a bit easier to load and secure and if we are tarping then that’s a whole different story. I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the videos. Thank you for watching. We do deserve time off but in times like this when the market is slow, going home with income that’s not very satisfying might not make time off very enjoyable 😁

@@lenpellerin give RTS a try. They have a good fuel card. Also Google Open roads fuel card. They have a professional one and one made for people with RV’s which is free. It’s tied to your bank account. I use that one as well. They have Loves discounts and other truck stops as well. Good card too and good discounts. Try that too.

Hi, I noticed you dont keep your straps on the trailer, when not in use, why is that? You are the first driver I've seen that does that. Great videos!
@Mr.AlexKogan
@Mr.AlexKogan 4 месяца назад
Thank you! I actually rarely see drivers that keep straps on the side of trailer while not using. You have to take them off to toss over the load on you trailer and in winter, having them on the side is not good in case it’s raining and it freezes. I used to keep them on the side at first but it became extra unnecessary work to do that

Are you leased on or do you have a personal broker? Been watching for awhile awesome stuff. I’m starting off with a pickup and a 20ft trailer mainly going to try and haul vehicles but freight definitely peaks my interest. Especially when I hopefully eventually upgrade to a bigger truck and trailer if everything works out.

Hey buddy on the AC units goijng through the forklift pockets might have been better then a strap over the top in the center is how I used to see then secured when I worked at a rental place with our industrial AC units
@Mr.AlexKogan
@Mr.AlexKogan Год назад
Yeah that’s how I would normally do it but tho solace was very strange about how you secure it. They said no chains, straps only. Makes no sense at all knowing how flimsy and thin that metal is on top.

Seems like you end up spending a lot more time strapping and unstrapping and you have shorter trips. However, you’re deadhead doesn’t seem to be much of an issue compared to other types like car hauling.
@Mr.AlexKogan
@Mr.AlexKogan 11 месяцев назад
Sometimes I get short runs that only take a day to drive and sometimes I get longer ones that take a few days. It’s always a mixture because you never know where you’ll end up and what will be available from there. I try to keep my deadhead to a minimum, under 150 miles unless there is nothing within that range then we will up the deadhead to a longer distance.
