Let's hear it for the Service Lady - she sensed the situation - sold up the menu - made the right choices - sold a dessert - and gave out a free drink - and delivered outside twice. She earned a good tip.
You should’ve went to Kansas City Missouri if you wanted BBQ you would’ve thought you died and went too heaven . Next time you won’t be disappointed. we’ve got dozens of World renowned BBQ places that cook it low and slow with perfect smoke rings and melt in your mouth rubbed and smoked to perfection .👍
I live with depression, and I do find life hard sometimes- we all do. I just wanted you to know that your videos always brighten my day, and I look forward to seeing what you've been up to. You're a top bloke, Danny. Much love.
Hey man, COCKCRUNCHORX143 here. I really feel you brotha, so I thought I would share some banging tunes that can brighten up your days when you're feeling down ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jt4_yQXFjdo.html
You're definitely not alone with depression. I have it too and it's a horrible thing. I also love watching Danny's travels and adventures. Hang in there mate
I'm from Texas and the meats looked legit delicious and the sides looked on point. Many places hit or miss on their sides or treat them as an afterthought. Wish we had gotten to see the potato salad though as it pretty much is the staple side, though the tastiest side I have had is the baked potato casserole.
15:20 is hilarious 😂 the man who held the door open for him look of puzzlement, "cheers mate thank you!" ..haha I bet he never heard an accent like this before
Texan here 🙂 that BBQ looked great! I’d call that plate a bit more of an overview of all the different styles of American BBQ. You see, each region of American BBQ has its own bbq sauce style and meat focus. In the carolina’s, it’s pork (shoulder) in a more vinegary, thinner sauce. Texas it’s beef (brisket) in a relatively sweeter tomato based bbq sauce. Then there is Kansas City and Memphis. It’s ALL really good. And the true original places are pretty much all low key “dives”. Everyone should check it out if they have a chance. And guaranteed to be run by the friendliest people you’ll meet!
Well put. I became addicted to bbq a few years ago, and so now I can't get enough. Don't forget the St. Louis BBQ. I have visited tons of bbq joints. The popular ones I have been to have all been great. Puppy's smokehouse in St. Louis(St. Louisstyle baby backribs...sweet sauce), Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City(spare ribs...sweet sauce)are my favorite. I was let down by Rendezvous in Memphis(dry rub...too dry), Scott's bbq in S Carolina (fantastic whole hog meet but in vinegar sauce). My next bucket list is Texas bbq (Franklin's in Austin).
The BBQ looks amazing and I am sure it is! As Europian I do belive that Texas and America knows best how to make a best one! Would like to try the original BBQ over there! Personally, I would not choose mac and cheese next to high quality BBQ but this is choice everybody can make!
You have a million dollar personality, and deserve every blessing. Not all bottle water in the US costs $5 (scoundrels abound). Here is a tip, when travelling in the US, visit a local grocery store or pharmacy and pick up a case of water and refrigerate before your next day's journey. I do this whenever I visit a major city, and especially Vegas. I love your content!
@@DCL26 Walmart sells 35 packs of bottled water for $7.00, and the Kroger near me just had a 24 pack of Ice Mountain water for $2.99, which is about 12 cents a bottle. And the Ice Mountain is some of the best water you can buy, it is the only water I drink.
not sure quite why, but I love watching this guys videos. Nothing much really happens, he has a bit of banter, goes to eat. enjoys his food but for some reason, it's such compelling viewing
Being Canadian I thought I loved BBQ already but in my 20s got to work across America for lil more then a decade. The two things food wise that stuck out to me was both BBQ and a lowly hotdog have a million varieties in America. Majority are amazing cuz ever local area has a specialty and been doing it for generations. Was lucky enough to have real Texas -Q in Texas and know just what you were carrying on about Danny .....frakkin heaven on a plate mate :)
I took your advise and know i drunk real bad like and wantt peporoni pizzajlkiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidbvahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhl
She told him $37 at the register so he was rounding up to 40. So a $5 tip isn’t bad for a place like that where there isn’t a waitress to come and take your order, you get your own drinks and refills and you’re probably expected to throw your trash away and leave the tray in the bin when you’re done.
Wasn't the sausage and cameraman's coke free? Also, those who think tipping is stupid, don't understand that food in American restaurants is cheaper because the employees don't make that much money.
I love the fact that, no matter who this guy is talking to, he is nothing but himself! It's so refreshing to see someone who has a big channel with a good following just be genuine. People could learn more than just about takeaways from this guy! 👍👌
The lady serving Danny was so sweet. It must be odd for a woman outside Yorkshire to be called "luv" 😂 but she didn't bat an eyelid. I think from her accent comes from Latin America. But Danny is so polite and good-natured that you can only smile and enjoy the ride. Excellent job!!! ✅
I reckon she been called lots of names, in her time in the states. Being called love will be a "pleasantry", in comparison, G To E. ( The "favorite" was "Wetbacks", at one time, i think.)
@@blackbob3358 nearly 20% of the states is Hispanic/Latino ancestry. She could easily be second or third generation American. Whilst racism and bigotry exist everywhere in the world- we are all a bit tribal- don't assume the negative about us here in the USA. I'm a fat German, my neighbor is a drunken Irishman, and down the street is a cheapskate Dutchman. All stereotypes- but not ingrained in our social interaction in the big picture. "Reckoning" that she's called a lot of names, is not a true picture- other than- again we are all a bit tribal in the world- and there are biases- but that is not the norm in the States.
Well, in the south it is fairly common to refer to women as Honey, Sugar, Sweetie or any number of other things. Some women don't like it, but in the south most don't mind.
I recently have had some unfortunate situations in my life recently of great sorrow, and I can't tell you what joy watching you and your videos have brought me.
There is great BBQ everywhere but of the 36 states I’ve been to I would say the best BBQ places I’ve had were Memphis BBQ Company in MemphisTennessee, Big Bob Gibsons BBQ in Decatur Alabama, Truth BBQ in Houston Texas, Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ in Charleston South Carolina, Smokejack BBQ in Alpharetta Georgia, Phil’s BBQ in San Diego California and Joes Kansas City BBQ in Kansas City Kansas. And that’s not counting Austin Texas because I haven’t been there yet.
Thats a tough choice haha. Definitely a tasty one tho. this is just ONE, style of BBQ. There is different styles all across the states. Texas style, Memphis style, Carolina style, Sante Fe style, Mexican style, etc.
Good bbq all across the south starting from the east coast of south Carolina west to Memphis and all the way down to Houston. I'm biased so only beef for me, pork doesn't belong in smoked American bbq meats category. Pepper, salt, oak wood, that's as American as it gets.
@@ExplodingBumfluff Yeah I mean, it's literally just a tradition left over from WWII when it's all people could afford. The Brits still eat like they're expecting another German bombing raid.
I live in Texas, I was a bit concerned about what kind of bbq you would get in Vegas. But, it does look pretty authentic, and price wasn't bad for BBQ. Glad you liked it! If you do get to Texas someday, I'd recommend Goldee's BBQ in Fort Worth. This place is probably the best in Texas right now, but there's also Franklin's in Austin, or Lockhart in Dallas, or Truth BBQ in Houston. Would be great to know when you are coming, we'd love to have you!!
Like how he dipped his ribs in the beans! Brits like their beans, no doubt. When I lived in Glasgow for 6 months there were beans with every breakfast! Found it curious as they could cause certain problems the rest of the day. Really miss HP brown sauce. They were good with everything.
That was a MUCH better Uber ride than the one I did with you....no WAY I'm gonna be doin' backflips!! LOL Glad to see you're enjoying your meals here!!
so I'm a fellow northerner, from Wigan myself, who's lived in the US for 15 years or so. As a Wiganer I miss me pies, but if I moved back, I'd miss the BBQ. I was kinda eating it for the first time again vicariously through this man. Theres nothing like good BBQ.
As soon as I heard the Uber driver speak, I knew she was Ethiopian. I'm Ethiopian-American from VA. I'm so proud of her; she's friendly and talented. I hope she found an agent and is back to working doing what she loves. Also loved the lady who took your order and kindly brought your food outside. She's wonderful! I really enjoyed this video!
How often here ‘takeaway staff’ are numb and senseless … The more I watch this channel, the more passionate staff I see on screen. Imagine doing what you love as a job! That lady definitely deserved her tip, 100%!
Respect to the driver! Flipping amazing. 🇬🇧👍❤️🇺🇲😎🌞 I was lucky enough to visit LV twice for work. Great times, great people. I prefer 'small town America' but its cool place, filled with history.
Well you just made me so hungry.... Because I know personally how good that food is. I'm originally from The buckeye state, Columbus Ohio USA, but I'm currently living in the panhandle of Oklahoma just a few miles from Texas, and boy do they know barbecue. I'm glad you've enjoyed America, you're a joy to watch, such a genuine fella, but you do make me awful hungry watching you... 😂♥️🌻 P.s. I agree the Mexican Coca-Cola in a bottle can't be beat.🥤
@@marklamb9118 What in God's name are you talking about you lunatic. Just so you know I reported you for your crazy talk and don't worry about seat belts in America what does that have to even do with this discussion.
@@sherrilynnbrunton9199 report me too 🙋 because I also think it's important that people with influence show sensible precautions like seatbelts. It's very appropriate to comment when he posted this video on social media and the idea of social media is that people can comment about anything they care about.
Watching Danny pass by the White Castle with gleaming Vegas lights and basically not noticing it was like a scene in a movie where the culprits are right under the detective's nose and the audience knows this but the detective doesn't. Well played!
I was in Vegas at the same time. I live in LA yet grew up in the Midwest. I had White Castle twice when I was there. We don’t have them LA. Best burger on planet.
This is my favourite video of the tour! Loved seeing you eat something authentic rather than sandwiches and pizza and it looked incredible. Nice one Danny! Ps I’ll have your cornbread!
Problem is Dan is that its expensive across the USA for us Brits because of the strong dollar and dying pound. Only a year ago a $40 meal would be £28.36 but now it costs £36.70 a huge difference. We have been to the States many times, I remember on one trip back in 2014 we got $1,71 to the pound so that $40 would have been just £23, what a difference.
when i went to the UK about 2003-2005, remember exact year... it was double for me!- cashing in the usd to gbp cost me $2 for ea 1 gbp i stayed 1 days n cost me a fortune!
was suppose to read , i cant remember exact year i went but it was like 18 years ago i guess hard to believe thet long ago but yeah it was double for me to but 1 gbp, cost me $2
Danny doing us English/Brits proud! I’ve been all over the south Danny and you just need to do a complete tour of the south. The food culture there is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. You think this is good, wait until you try some real southern food. You gave this a 10!? You gonna be handing out 20’s once you hit some real stuff! Awesome content as always!!
My brothers wife is from Manchester and she couldn’t believe all of the different types of actual American food. She loved Louisiana and Texas the most.
There many books available on authentic Texas Bar B Que. And the wood chips for the smoking can be purchased on line. There's no reason you can't do your own BBQ !
@@pepsiq11965 Gonna commit sacrilege here as a Texan, but I think brisket is a little overrated, it's just hard to cook properly. Great when done properly, but beef ribs are better.
Danny my father’s family is from Alabama and he is Scots-Irish and English ancestry. He and my male cousins on dad’s side look so much like you. We are probably related somewhere way back 😊. Especially my cousin Brian Sellers looks so much like you it’s uncanny. We also share a love of good food. Bless you and yours.
You my man have earnt a new subscriber. This is absolutely brilliant plus your accent is wicked. Im from South west so bit of ohh arr farmer accent..your accent reminds me of peter kay who i love.
I'm from Texas, visited NM once (Santa Fe & Albuquerque) , it was interesting how yall do everything a bit differently, and some new items for me. Yall do make everything spicier than the average Tex-Mex, which I enjoy. Food was great, you definitely love those green chilis.
I stumbled across your channel I like it and I like how you use the footage that most people would edit out. (conversations etc.) Glad to see someone come to the United States and appreciate our country. Anyway, cheers from Arizona! I subscribed too! However, I was not sure why you didn't try the corn bread, I wasn't sure if it was a cultural thing or. Put BBQ sauce on the corn bread, it's very good!
as a new viewer, i appriciate that Danny doesnt focus on the chewing, and on the food and content itself. First food review channel ive ever subbed to. Keep it up Danny!
Danny you crack me up mate 😂 didn’t want any vinegar and then said the Bbq sauce was lovely and vinegary, love you videos and keep doing what your doing and putting a smile on peoples faces, all the best to you and your family in the future 🤝🏻
It is a pity the Pound has tanked against the Dollar, making overseas travel pretty expensive for people from the UK...I'm half tempted to book a flight and head out across the pond!
Danny! Watching you from Vegas, ate there a couple weeks ago~ You were more enthusiastic about the mac than I am, but the meat is amazing~ And those beans rival my own! I really love the authentic Tex-mex beans! I could just eat the brisket, and the beans, (And maybe some good slaw) and be a happy camper! Cheers, Mate!
Your Bar-B-Que Meal looked fabulous in Vegas. So glad you visited us, and sat outside in your own Chair n Table (you may start a trend) on the Lower East Side in NYC and went to the famous "Katz's Deli," who's kept their original sign from the 1800s. Thanks for taking a bite of the Big Apple. Cheers mate! 😂
Within the first 2 minutes Danny came out with the Peter Kay, "have you been busy?" He forgot to ask "What time are you on 'til?" Then when the driver told him that she was a juggler in a circus, I was expecting him to come out with "How do you kill a circus?" As always super video Dan.
Loved your tour around the US. BBQ food in Vegas looked great. Texas has to be your next place to visit when you go back if you want BBQ, that will be next level.
i've always wanted to go to murica' and eat my way across the country, but i'd probably die doing it because there is so much i want to eat! :P and i would probably be making all of the same "happy noises" as Dan every time he takes a bite of some of this food XD
No way that asian sounding american uber driver understood every word he said. she never said "what?" once. shes an absolute legend she can deffo speak minimum 3 languages
@@stillirise7813 cornmeal has a negative reputation similar to peanut butter outside of the states, that said I think its been stated before that corn just messes with his stomach
I went to a place in San Antonio. It was like a cafeteria. Plastic plates, trays, really cheap looking. They did a tray like this where you pick meats and sides. Some of the best bbq I’ve ever eaten. The best would be The Pig on Beale St Memphis. Same again, plastic plates. Got the ribs and their spicy bbq sauce was hands down the best I’ve ever had.
