Welcome to our journey! Join us as we travel to Yermo, CA to pick up our Humvee from GovPlanet! Stay tuned for part 2 coming out soon where go into detail on how we secured the Humvee to our trailer, and more! :)
@@theinspiredjourney Thanks! No I kept the soft top. I converted it to a 4 man config. In the back end I shortened the troop seats and shortened the cover bows. I have it so a canvas tarp can extend off of the front bow. I plan to keep it basically stock. I live in the CA desert and it really allows me to venture way off the beaten path.
Awesome! I would love to see it! I think I will go with the 4 man - hard top config, looking for one.. We just moved out west and can't wait to start exploring :)
Awesome! Thank you! I can't wait :) The M1102 is on my list as well. We are going to upload a bunch of videos documenting the work and hoping to help others in their journey. Thank you for the support!
I am so grateful to always have her by my side no matter how many crazy things I drag her into! I am so grateful and wish to everyone to find their true love no matter how hard it might be sometimes. Never give up on love! Thank you so much buddy! (oh yes and I also love the Humvee too)
Wish we could (easily) have the size trucks you guys have in the US here in Australia. We're so restricted here. Looks the goods do you guys have some type of roadmap over the next 6 or 12 month of where you expect to travel and visit around the US?
If you dont mind me asking how big of a trailer do i need? I have a pretty standard double axle trailer but dont know if i need to rent one out to pick it up. Also do i need the euc first in order to pick it up?
Hi, thank you for watching our video! The Humvee is wider than a regular vehicle so make sure you use a trailer that the Humvee can fit on. If I remember correctly, the Humvee is about 7.2 feet wide and about 6,000 lbs., so make sure the trailer can handle the size and weight - but don't count on my info, check on GovPlanet and it should show shipping info (dimensions, weight, etc.) to be sure :) Also, yes, you will absolutely need the euc. They won't let you pick up the vehicle without it. Go through the process and give GovPlanet support center a call if you need more information, they are very helpful!
@nenadobradovic7046 that is for a completely rebuilt and repaired one. Not the POS you get from auction that needs all fluids changed, tires, top, doors and total restoration...etc.
