Stunning scenery with mountains, streams and old copper mines. Today we used a Bazooka gold trap sluice and a Mine lab Gold Monster 1000 metal detector
The thing I love about this video is you and your dad together. Wish I still had my father we could of done this together. Cherish each other lads that's the true gold.a golden friendship 💙
Thank you Jamie, sadly my father passed away last year and I miss him dearly but we did many things together which I can look back on with great memories .
Videos of this nature are invaluable. As they actually show you from where real money (gold and silver) get their value. Their value that comes from the sheer amount of human labour that is required to first find, and then refine these precious metals. Keep up the hard work, Andy.
Another great vid!Beautiful scenery!Yes,its about prospecting, gold can be there,or not,if it were as easy, many persons will do it.Gold was today sharing your day with your father, not everyone can do it.Thank you, enjoyed this.
Thanks for the kind comments. I just want to share the adventure and tell the story as it should be told. I agree that if gold was that easy to find then we would all be doing it.
If you want to find gold, go to areas that are rich in iron/iron dioxide (reddish hue / rust coloured) or sulphur dioxide (orangish hue and smelly) .. those places generally have the most gold to be found..
It’s good to know that I’m not the only prospector that comes up empty handed for gold! Just did a 4 day trip in calif. only 3 days did I find gold. One day we tried everything on the river to find gold in a new area we hadn’t been to and came up with nothing. The river is gold bearing too! It was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring.
I think it is important to tell the story Della and rest assured that if you tried all the usual tricks in the book to find the gold then you did your best. Good luck with your future adventures.
Thats why its called prospecting. Love the 'gooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllddddddddddddddd ruuuuuuuuuuush. Nice addition at the end showing everyone that D channel has no right to do what they did
Thanks for the comments again DEmma. I have tried several times for an explanation from the people that raised the issue and have heard nothing what so ever. RU-vid are sympathetically not bothered and do not mediate nor offer the reason for the copyright claims. I suppose at the end of the day I just need to carry on and do my best. Cheers MrDazP1.
Hey you don't have to apologise Luke but thank you for taking the time to join us on this adventure. My dad , "Dad's hat" loves the day out at the creek but we both missed the dog on this trip. He was on a charity walk with all the dog walkers from our home town. My dad commented about this at our lunch break - no pooch with his nose in the rucksack lol.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures haha doggo was doing his work for charity.. which part of the lake district was you in? Cumbria has some good rivers with bedrock etc
Cheers Andy. Everything looked right to us and we were hoping to find a few specs like we know we can in Cumbria. I guess we can tick off the list now.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures it's funny how all the indicators are there but the gold isn't ,it's very hit n miss this hobby but that's part of the charm ,keeps the search alive mate
Smashing place Daz👍👍 And nicely done exploring and prospekting that river👌🌟. I must say , your use of the sluice is spot on my friend 👌👍 Keep on running it just like that ( one could wish for more water flow somtimes 😄) and it will be of good service on the river. Well then , how about that new sniping vid😅 can't wait 👍👍👍👍
Hello Varmland, thanks for watching again and for the advice on the sluice. I can't wait to test it in a gold bearing river. I will start on the sniping video soon buddy. Thanks for your support and all the best .
They don't really exist my friend. You can always seek permission from a farmer to access the land but most farmers don't own the land. They manage it. It can get more complicated when an actual land owner may not own the river. And then the river owner will not own the mineral rights. 🤔 Most prospectors tend find nice little spots and disappear into the foliage and keep themselves to themselves, if you know what I mean. I would recommend Leadhills or the Mennock to pan with a permit my friend. Hope this helps ...
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Ok cheers. It's only a problem because in the case that I do find anything, I will have to report it to the local authorities by law. Some regions allow this, others don't
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Permission should Always be sought from landowners - and all land is owned by someone. No permission - do prospecting or detecting.
you cant help but wonder how all the lead shot ends up in the rivers, i mean does people stand and fire pellet guns in to rivers lol staggering amount of shot.
It will down to many factors Robert. People hunting and missing the target, like you said, simply shooting at the water, or from the corpses of animals. Also anything heavy like lead will want to move to the lowest point from naturally occurring events
I couldn't give too much away but try around Saddleback. There a few reports on line if you do your research. Ralph Henderson did a lot of prospecting in the lakes but I don't know where. This spot was near Copper mines and it looked good but i never found any
I heard that some other RU-vid channels have days where they don't find gold worth showing or making a video about but I will try to make them interesting even if there is no gold.
Ohhh how exciting, I really hope you find some. How do you think your gold monster will compare to the Equinox 800? Hope I've made the right choice lolx
@@ruthparkes7896 I'm not too familiar with detectors Ruth but anything at this kind of money will be pretty good. The GM1000 can find very tiny gold though. I will make a video with it using some small pickers soon. As for the other place I need to get a bit more over towards Bootle.
Good video i do panning in spain do you have to get permision in uk to pan metal detecting in spain is a no go area even if you get permision to detect on somons land the have to give you a copy of thair deeds and the you have to take it so it can be confirmed it is no a historic parcel of land
Hello Mike strictly speaking you should always seek permission to prospect and if you ask farmers for permission to detect on their land you can agree what the boundaries are and how you would share the finds and declare anything that comes into the appropriate category to pass on to authorities. Thanks for watching. It's just a hobby for me and a great subject to film.
Every river I visit tends to have a private fishing notice along it's course. most local authorities don't like overnight camping or parking in the carparks and they do check for this. As for prospecting I tend to get keen on lookers asking questions about the hobby. Thanks for the comments and enjoy the great out doors.
Thanks ok I enjoy watching thank for doing... you will probably get fed up with me asking questions all the time or my comments lol 😂 have a good week x
In metal detecting there are some laws on the age and historical importance so if you find a gold Roman hoard you will have to declare it. As for gold panning it's just a bit of fun and there's nowt here worth bothering about. , the specs you find are nice but you can't see em half the time. There are some places where you can get a permit for the day.
@@haggaimulenga2738 gold panning in some locations is permitted with a permit for a day or a week etc .Other places seem to be known for gold panning and everything seems to be ok by the authorities. Metal detecting is usually based on an agreement with the land owner, ie a farmer for permission. Anything of any value or importance needs to shared as per the agreement and also the appropriate agencies will need to be informed of any juicy finds. There are some grey areas with panning too.
Never been there but this place is only an hour n' half up the road for me and has potential for gold . There's not a fat lot of information out there though. I do agree with your point though , NZ is a special place.
What about using”gold bullrush”?its a plant with a sausage on the top so you shouldn’t get in too much trouble, and the bull bit sums up the whole fiasco 😂😊
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures by doing a quick look at the geology of the area it appears you are in the Windemere rock group area. To me the contact zones of the Barrow volcanic group are your boy 😉
I don't look at the value of the gold versus the outlay and cost to do a trip out but this is a good question. I love making the videos and I do that as an enthusiast and as a hobby. If it was possible to make it pay I reckon you would be knackered after a couple of years because it's really physically hard work.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures yes I have a PfCO license. Any commercial purpose, of which RU-vid is.... Requires a license, but probably 99% of people don't know that.
@@davesfilmingservices4377 Idont give a fuck about it, because there is drone rules, I follow rules and my opinion - licence need not because You posting videos on RU-vid, but if You use drone where impossible to follow basic drone rules, so You need licence, register drone and insurance also. Its not a hobby anymore if You use Your drone in places where impossible to follow basic rules and You breaking these rules.
That's a good way of putting it. The methods we used on this trip would normally give us some results on other rivers. The next video will be all about Sniping again so stay tuned.
