Gold's Gym Stride Trainer 350 Elliptical Build
Purchased from Walmart for $277
This unit is a great little Elliptical for under $300. It took me under a hour to assemble the unit by myself. Make sure to check all bolts and tighten properly. We have only used the machine for under a hour but so far the machine is great. I am 6' and the 14" stride length maybe a little short but is perfect for my wife who is shorter. It has 8 pre programmed work outs and 12 resistant levels. The display allows you to track target pacer tracks speed, time, distance and calories burned. Unit also has a convenient area to sit a pad so you can watch your favorite videos while working out.

I had the stride trainer 595 with adjustable incline. The wheel center rid snapped and was not repairable. They are sending me this unit as a free replacement. I hope it's going to be ok. Yeah free but ppl say it's not sturdy. The 595 I had was a rock on all surfaces. Any wobble will soon bend and crack the frame after time. Hope this will not be the case.

Impressive doing it by yourself, and even without time-laps, impressive speed. However, I'm stuck trying to put mine together and I don't find this video educational. The instructions say to use spacers, which I don't see him use... and washers to place the swinging arms on, but they don't fit, and the screws/bolts it says to use don't seem long enough.

Hi Denis, I have an issue. I bought the same model recently, but remote control base doesn't work when I'm pedaling. I don't know if it has something to do with it or it is a major issue that the man who sold me the elliptical didn't tell me! I'll be waiting for your answer! Omar Luna first check batteries unit needs to be unscrewed by base. second would be sending unit on back wheel may have came loose. start with batteries and let me Know

I just bought this elliptical this past weekend. I love it but I have a huge problem the time and distance stays at 0. I put brand new batteries in it. Still nothing so I adjusted reed switch and nothing happened . Do you have any recommendations? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I called the company and they told me about reed switch and check all wiring which I already did. But I’ll recheck. They said it may be a bad reed switch. But before I go and try to replace parts. I thought I’d ask for help on her first.

I repaired one for a lady where the sensor actually fell off the wheel and had to be epoxied back on. It was hard to get to because you have to remove all the plastic panels. check your connections first but Id suggest calling and seeing if they want you to return unit or send you parts

Denis- when you were setting up, did you have any issues with the screws fitting into the pivot axle? they are the correct screws, but unable to get them to fit into axle.. help!

+Dia Harmon It has been a while but no I do not believe we had any issues. I do remember and I have assembled one other one like this that some of the threading is not perfect and it almost feels like you are cross threading it when you tighten it.

Mine makes a thump noise! How can I fix it? It comes from the right side only and I can feel it!!

+Vivianna Penn have you confirmed everything is tight? I know sometimes if the bolts loosen up it will make funny sounds we had one that wasnt all the way in and as soon as we tightened it the noise went a way.

Have u had any wiring issues? My sister in law gave me hers but its doesnt read the calories burned or time used etc. Just wondering if it's a battery thing or old wires

Definitely sounds like batteries. Ours ended up dying late last year the bearings wore out from how much my wife used it

THE WHOLE LEFT SIDE OF THE ELLIPTICAL IS LOOSE. FROM THE LONG HANDLE TO THE BACK PART OF THE PEDAL. HOW DO I TIGHTEN THAT UP?

+JEWEL GETER I believe there is a cap at the pivot point you can remove and I believe there is an alan head bolt that will need tightened. Do not over tighten or it will add strain to the operation. If you find bolts continue to back out use a little lock tight on bolts to prevent backing out. Sorry for the delay in answering

i would recommend this machine depending on two things... #1 you are smaller this machine can not handle a 250lbs male. #2 you are not doing 10 miles a day. this machine is a great machine for you average person adding a little excersize in there their life

Just brought and having trouble. We had to use a hammer to get that center bar through n now were having trouble getting the moving arms on the bar. It says slide on, but even with all the lubrication that doesnt work. Did we miss something?

do you have problems on both sides or just the side you hammered on? could you have left and right tops switched around?

so weird they should slide on with no problem... I would call the manufacturer I know they are pretty good at sending out extra parts and such.

I believe AA I believe you have to take the whole display box off to open the back if I remember correctly.

check an make sure all bolts are tight. the biggest problem with these are many people assemble them incorrect. it is possible you have a bad bearing in that case I would call the manufacturer from what I heard they are good to work with. but pay attention when tightening bolt for anything that doesn't look normal

Sorry I just found this but I do not recall having that issue. I am sure you have figured it out by now but if I was guessing you may have the wrong bolts.

Unit is holing up great wife uses the unit nightly and I use it on occasion. The only beef is the two covers on the arms fall off but it does not affect the use of the unit. I say it is totally worth it if you can not afford the big buck equipment and is the perfect size for a woman or a sorter man.

I have a question. I have the same elliptical but it keeps telling me "LO" and it restarts all over again by all over again I mean the time and calories go back to 0 when I'm using it. Can you please help me why it keeps doing that?

travbrack it held up for about a year. When we found out my wife would use it 3-5 days a week we bought a high end expensive machine. Not a bad machine for the money

So a couple things I found on ours. 1 hard level floors are the best when you have it on carpet it bounces a little this flexes joints and you get a noise. 2 check your bolts are not to tight or to loose either can make noise. if all else fails lubricate. anything that moves is a squeak point. you can use wd to find the squeak but it is not a good long term lubricant and will actually brake down a lot of other lubricants. use something lice a silicone spray you would use on a garage door. Hope that helped a little

how do.u turn it off????? the battery has the smallest screw. and it doesnt seem to have a time limit to.shut.off when nit in use. this makes it crappy. real.crappy. . u have to find a eye glass screw driver just to put battery in. it makes it a joke..and there is no.time limit when not in use. so u waste batteries. I hate this thing. I bought better

Mine turns off after it is not active for over a minute. I agree it isnt the best unit but we only use ours in winter months when we can not get out side and it does the job good enough. I have not changed batteries in 2 years
