It's very fun to run Levi and it works great I've seen my friends run them and its really cool when the bigger gold is just sitting there easy to pick up. And that slide out trap makes a 🌎 of difference for clean outs

I go through a lot of good clay material that clogs in my matting and would absolutely love to get one to replace my sluice but I definitely can't afford the price😅😞😅😞. Doesn't exactly help me financially that I live in a adult group home on SSI only

When i have low water flow,what i do is bring a couple peices of garden hose i go down strsam of my sluice fill the hose with water and put the discharge end of the hose at the front of the sluice and there you got more water flow

I've never owned a fluid bed they are definitely fun to run

Oh ya bro I'm pumped to have the fluid bed in the arsenal now too! I'm looking into getting that sluice fox to replace my ezsluice backpack sluice. Theres lots of ideas that come to mind when I look at it.

@@GramCanyonSam I have the sluice Fox I have used it several times at Alabama gold camp its great I bought a extension and it really dose a great job at catching gold and very fine gold.

Very true Tim, Petey and myself are far done with the cold and it's not even "COLD" yet 😯😨 lol. But it is what it is rite! The recon is a cool little unit for sure and I've definitely seen you catch some shiny with it. But I did learn a bit of strange information about it , I was told that the water doesnt come out on the bottom inside that trap. I quess it comes in from the sides and transfers the top which would work but once the material dropped below it there would be no more transfer? I've never looked at one close up to notice. Have you any info on this matter?

Hey Martin! Yes I've been back for a few months working and pushing threw with the next step of pioneering the family west. I've hurt myself pretty good so I've been laid up here. Yes for sure ! I forgot to touch base on a few things that are more beneficial lol but I think its obvious by seeing the equipment rite 😁👊🏻🇺🇸⛏🌎

Other good thing about the removable trap is unlike my bazooka one doesnt have to disturb the placement of the box in the water. Getting the right pitch and water flow is not always easy with stacked and balanced rocks. With the removable trap you don’t have to disturb the box. I lost and had to regain my whole position in my stream in VT to empty my small bazooka. And the darned leaves! I couldnt see them plugging up the inner tubes, so frequently had to empty and fish them out the middle chamber. If i had that removable trap none of that would have been a problem! It is a great design!!

Ya I'm interested in getting a fox also but I did consider the length issue even know it's cool I can only think of a few rivers I could actually run it like a long tom. But it's still a upgrade from my ezsluice if I decided to switch my back pack one out to a fox.

Well marko I can tell you that I know a few guys that have had them for a few years and I haven't heard any complaints. But only time will tell everyone has a different way about things, i tend to be rough and random alot lol ya never know what could happen. I'm sure you will see more of the gmgt overtime. We are working on a few projects including machines , dredges and sniping over the next season but there will still be plenty of sluice box days I'm sure.

Ya todd the gmgt is definitely the best fluid bed sluice I've seen anyways. The trap coming out makes like much easier and it's very fast to clean out. It would be great even in high water time . And I know that a few guys have picked up some nuggets and such with it also they trail back and hang out on the slick plate 😁🍻🇺🇸🌎⛏

@@mininhawaiian2911 sup brah , ya the sluice fox is pretty sweet too. The only problem would be getting a area to be able to extend a few sections. Maybe like the bear or some spots with wide flat long slow stretches of river. But even if not I think I'm going to work tords replacing my ezsluice with a sluice fox as my back pack option. Its basicly the same thing just with more options . But the fluid bed is definitely hanging around man once I can actually work I'll be able to push a ton of dirt threw it. I couldn't get out in the better current so the material wasnt moving along like it could had been. And the guys that use them definitely catch all size gold so it definitely works well and the trap coming out so you dont have to take the sluice out is mint.

Have you had a fluid bed sluice before ? You should give the gmgt a try . I do really like the sluice fox also for a back pack riffle sluice. I mite replace my ez sluice with that this next season. I cant find a website for sluice fox thought. I'll try and contact prospectors supply I quess.

Once it gets broken in and the skid plate becomes roughed up, it acts the same way. You could spray the skid plate but in doing so, you will remove the ability of seeing the tubes inside the scoop. In the fall, often you can see a leaf or two blocking one or more tubes. Thanks #theeDannyFox

Believe it or not the gold trails back u see it straight away and it stays at the screen like in the video it kept happening. You see the gold going in no worries it's in the trap. You can also clue a small strip of mat across the mid part of the slick plate I've seen it done on a few that have been purchased. Overall this thing is a pleasure to run and you can really go threw some material.

It definitely catches the pixie dust for sure, theres plenty of that spread all over Massachusetts all the way to the beaches . I could get beach sand and run it threw some day. But I'll be back west for a bit I mite mail it out so I can run it there. I have plenty of fly poop areas I could shovel all day. See if I can pull out a yellow tray 😁

Theres way better gold around new England the most know. From western mass straight threw central Vermont hooked over threw new Hampshire and hooking up into eastern Maine there is lode gold trends. Massive fault lines and little to no laws and zero claims. Head over and watch American gold prospectors my buddy Bryan he dredges in nh and Maine alot. Hes gotten plenty big nuggets 8,9 gram etc. My biggest in the northeast came from maine 4.5 gram. The small gold is still chunky and it's much purer then the west so its heavier also.

Anything will catch gold my friend! I've made boxes out of sticks and moss that caught gold. It's all on what you want to do and where! I have a armor weave expanded box I stand by for certain stuff I have a back pack sluice I like the others for other stuff. It's good to have many options

One of the rules of thumb is the redder the better 👍🏻 gold rides an iron horse and wears a iron hat. Both are hand and hand in geology in most cases when theres one theres the other. I can tell you from personal experience being that I'm born and raised in Boston and travel back and forth mining both sides. That the gold is much more pure but not as plentiful on the northeast lode deposits. But non the less still there and in nugget form. This video was not filmed in cali it was filmed in Vermont just not where Joe usually mines. He had come over to our private ground for the day. I'm still in transition of shifting the family west after 2 years back and forth finding work/ friends/ a place to settle and good gold ground in the area. I'll be returning west shortly after I'm cleared from my injury and the gmgt will be going for a motherlode fill up 👍🏻😎⛰⛏🇺🇸

@@GramCanyonSam I am in Northwest Arkansas, I do vacation to Alabama gold camp from time to time and I also go to Puerto rico once a year and get to pan/river sluice a day or two while I am there, We do have diamonds in Arkansas I have tried it but its just not as exciting as seeing that flash in ya pan. I am thinking of joining the GPAA so I can take vacations to California and Colorado and have places I can go panning as well.

Well I dont normally work on public ground when I'm in this area "to many rules and regulations for petey and myself" lol but theres plenty of spots you can access very close to where I go that are free range to anyone that wants to freeze there butt off. If you stay in central VT straight up . Draw an imaginary line from bernardston Massachusetts directly north along rt 100 to the east theres a gold trend that goes all along it basicly anout 30 miles east of that point. Better spots being east of killington near Plymouth /bridgewater but theres lots of area like I said I just prefer that area. If you go there is public panning at the 5 corners "broad" along hale hollow, buffalo brook over by echo lake is good. Pinney hollow, chattaque area are all surrounded by decent lode sources. And will be your best shot at a bigger pc.

Marko I'm at about 2200 ft. But I'm 3000 miles away literally the furthest point from norcal lol. I'm still living on the road back and forth over seasons working both coasts concrete and gold. Trying to transfer my family west with in a year or two. I plan to do a recap video soon so more people understand how this channel started a few years ago. I ended up getting injured pretty bad a few months ago and I'm still not walking very well another few weeks in the cast and I'll be cleared for work. I'll be back in gold country for a few months then back and forth over the summer.

@@GramCanyonSam yea the clamp tweezers I use to live in Auburn California was born there we use to go dredging all summer on the river when I was about 7 moved to arkansas in 1991 no gold here but we got Diamonds and world class quarts crystals you ever in the area take you crystal minning or Dimond minning

Bazooka , grizzly , croc. , reckon and the gmgt are all fluid bed sluices. The difference between them are all different bazookas grizzly and croc are all traditional style fluid beds. The reckon is different then all of the above and actually puts water in from the top on the sides which is least effective I believe. The gold trap is a traditional style with Cadillac options basicly you get a flashy look that also is beneficial and you have a far superior way of doing clean outs by not taking the box out of the water at all.
