Goldbay has been my go-to supplier for over 12 years now. Patience is your friend when panning out this dirt. Expect those smaller flat pieces that can be tough to recover. Having panned many paydirt bags from Goldbay, I have NEVER been cheated on what I have ordered. All these years later, my two grandchildren (ages 6 &9) have over an ounce each and papa has a nice stash too. If you decide to order gold by size classification, (by the gram) -- you will never be shortchanged. Dave Varabioff is a straight shooter PERIOD. I learned the hard way - Now you don't have to make the mistakes I did. ld
Really cool how you put the different sizes together cumulativly now in one pan to compare. Living in NV I don't buy paydirt, I just go out back to the builders waste pile and dig in. Have found closer to half a ounce this past year.
Well your one of the lucky ones, well except you live in a hot area and I don't like the heat! As to the pan, I did it because i got tired of trying to get all the gold back out of 4 pans at the end of the video, now it is much easier.
Enjoyed the video as always. Keep up the great work. Goldbay has been my favorite seller for several years. I found that he gives you more "bang for the buck" than anyone else. If you sign up for his gold club, the deals get even better
My 3# bag from GoldBay came in a cheap thin leaking single plastic bag. And I paid to enhance the order with extra gold, spent LOTS of money. And your coupon did not work but it is about a year since you posted this video.
Yeah his coupon system has been down, and waiting to see if it gets fixed bfore I pull them off videos. Goldbay has nevr been one to have great bags sadly, but the gold has always been good.
I just got their 3# bag a few days ago, with 1g . It looked the same as your material, not like Waynes. I found it easy to pan and recovered 1.03g. Will definitely buy from them again!
Yeah was much different then Wayne's bag. I understand why he wasn't a huge fan but maybe that is why they changed it up. I really liked this bag and want to do some of his larger ones as well when i can afford it.
Hey Dylan I just got got the 3# bag with added: 2 grams gold and 1 gram big gold.I paid 177.95 plus 6.95 shipping, then had a 5 dollar discount coupon, total: $179.90. My first purchase from goldbay was just the standard 3#(1gram) bag and got 1.03 grams... which you can see in my avatar...nothing smaller than about 30 mesh. But this bag...as I said I had added gold and ended up with: +10 - 1.64g, -10/+20 - 96g, -20/+50 1.49g. Picked all the +10 stuff while classifying, panned the -10 and ran the rest on my miller table. Maybe he's changed to adding some smaller stuff? Even found more black sands than before. All in all a great seller and I had a LOT of fun with this paydirt.
I've panned several bags of their paydirt and have always gotten my moneys worth. The owner Dave is an awesome guy and always has great deals on gold. I tried his Crystal Dragon gold as well as some Colorado Quartz mine paydirt. Ended up with some nice crystalized gold as well as quartz/ gold rocks. Dave runs specials all the time.
That is free milled gold, hard rock gold, that's why it's all so thin and why it has the iron and other mineralisation, trust me, spent 25 years mining hard rock, placer, alluvial drift from the hard rock and even leaching from sulphides. Most gold from quartz will tend to be thin ribbons and flakes exactly like that.
I have bought from Goldbay several times and I have been very happy EVERY time. They are quickly becoming my GO-TO paydirt and very nearly exclusive because I have not seen this kind of numbers with ANYONE! I have been consistent with 85% to 95% every time and twice I have gone over 100%!!! If anyone knows of a better place, please let me know!
I know you asked Philip but I will try to answer as well. People buy gold paydirt for fun as a hobby. Mining for gold as a hobby is hugely fun and rewarding, however not everyone lives near a spot they can just go out and mine the local rivers. Or they are like me and disabled, so even if gold was nearby I couldn't go mine it. So we mailbox mine, ordering paydirt online to mine at home.
Miller Prospecting so its for fun and all the profit these pay dirt companies make is in that 5-10% diferemce beetwen what you pay and what you get in gold right?
Dylan! I'm so very sorry someone hacked your site! It was the best place to go for in-depth paydirt reviews. I hope you are able to get it back up and running. It's one of the few sites I have listed as a favorite and that I check every day. I've tried ordering the same 3-pound bag in this review, but every time I log onto goldbay.com, something on that site shuts down Internet Explorer. I wonder if they got hacked too. If your site is a no-go, I hope you will continue doing RU-vid video reviews. Best wishes, Wayne.
Thanks Wayne! Should be up this weekend, all fingers crossed. Just hoping I patched the flaw they found in the site to hack it in 1st place. If not will have to figure out something else.
Nice review hope you had a good New Years , sounds like you need to ask Santa for a shed heater LOL stay warm and keep them coming love the video reviews later Jeff 🤓🤓🤓
Santa got me a heater, sadly I spent all my shed budget last year on roof vents, and a new door for summer season. This year is insulation, which probably should have come first.
wow why there are so many negitive comments? for all you out there that dont have hobbies, or spend any money on enjoyable activities, sorry. panning for gold from purchased dirt is not a get rich quick scheme, its an enjoyable activity, a hobby. this hobby has the side effect of leaving you with some nice mostly shiney metal. people that participate in this hobby dont do it for the money, we do it for the enjoyment. some sell their gold, others like myself keep it. then there are the people who watch youtube videos of things they are not interested in just to post negitive comments, these are sad individuals indeed. obviously they have super rewarding and fullfilling lives that they choose that as their hobby. Dylan does a great job with his reviews, and most surprising to me, he responds to not only the people with postive things to say, but also to the people that have no interest in this hobby and only post negitive things and stupid, ill informed comments, i take my hat off to you sir, you have way more tollerance than i. *rant over keep up the good work, i do like the way your reviews have matured over time, and the current format is a win, imho
Well thank you so much for the kind words Andy! As you said some people just will never understand this hobby, yet they will spend hundreds on a new pair of nikes made for pennies in a sweat shop.
I’ve tried his gold before and wasn’t too happen with the quality of the Gold. It was super dull and rusty looking. I bought fifteen grams from him. It’s was still a fun experience.
are you using standars AVDP grms or Troy Grams? 1.5 grams of gold is equal to One Pennyweight. (1.55g) or 1/20th of a Troy ounce there are 31.1 grams to a Troy ounce, NOT 28 grams to the AVDP ounce. sometthing to keep in mind. when you say gold is at $41 how do you calculate that? you should give the spot price per oince and devide by either 20 for pennyweight or 31.1 for grams per TROY ounce. it makes a bit of a difference.
Their is no difference between a AVDP gram and a TROY gram, the difference is in the ounces. A gram weighs a gram no matter what, it is only when you get to ounces does it make a difference. It takes more grams to be a troy ounce then a AVDP ounce. As to the price I get it from the current spot price which is why I say "Gold Spot as of Today" so on the day I do the review that is the current spot price per gram.
You need to do the 4 pound bag of Colorado paydirt. Wanted to see if it was any good or if it had a good ROI since I don’t have a scale. Thanks! Love the channel. Keep on panning!
Have you ever researched taking a trip with the family to mine/collect your own paydirt? If so any recommendations? I’ve seen some where you can sluice and pan, but not sure if you can take home dirt to pan? Great video as always. I still think I lean toward unsearched though.
I have but I am disabled so trips tend to have to have less walking. They have a few good places in North Carolina that I would love to try. Much cheaper prices then the Alaska mining packages. Also yes they usually let you take dirt home. I went to the Gold Camp in Mississippi a few years back and took home all my dredge paydirt.
Hey man, just wanted to ask you if you could recommend a seller that has really difficult paydirt. I want to practice fine gold panning with as much black sand and a decent mix of hematite and magnetite. I can't recall a really good river paydirt that wasn't junk so I was hoping you could point me in a good direction?
JimbosGold Extreme Paydirt for sure! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XAPt4aLs4L0.html That stuff is a beast, extremely difficult. Here is store line: www.jimbosgold.com/product/extreme-difficulty-gold-paydirt-bag/
Goldbay almost always has more than the advertised amount of gold. Ive pretty much whittled down my sellers list to where I'm only buying from them. Since I can't buy a bag a week I like being able to choose different difficulty levels when I can buy. I'm gonna stop since I'm starting to sound like an advertisement for them...
trying my first paydirt. its of ebay. half pound of unsearched dirt with 30 plus pieses of 20 mesh gold nuggets added for $15. so hope I didn't get screwed . but ill fined out
They have the best starting ROI I have seen and you really can't beat that. Plus he has really good specials he sends out once or twice a year to his email members.
Well decided to go for the 5lb 3 gram bag. Just did it over the weekend feb 3-4 2018. Ordered it Wednesday had it saturday cant complain about shipping or anything. But didnt really like packaging. Dirt was wet well gravel anyways. My dirt was almost exactly like yours. It was only 4.5lbs which doesnt really bother me unless it is unsearched but the description is very generic. I got 2.73 grams so far still have to do just a little more dirt bit from what i seen in the bag im either gona come out at exactly 3 grams or just a lil over. I also had rust gold in mine i thought it was a rock till it kept showing up with the gold everytime i took a peek and i turned it over and it was gold. i would order again from them.i did get a few nice pieces i got a .4 gram nugget. Was kinda hard to pan i thought just so much gravel to go thru but thats my opinon. I didnt find any fine gold either. I could get every piece with fingers or tweezers.
I think this could probably be the best seller out their if they took the time too make small tweeks. The lack of descriptions isn't good, no labels etc. The ROI is unbelievable but they sell paydirt almost as an afterthought. I see why some people find it boring and artificial. Few changes and would be awesome paydirt.
I like this video, but if you go back and check the prices on the paydirt.. its double in prices with not description of what is guaranteed? or was it just me ?
They did change up all the bags, they do that occasionally, However they pretty much keep the starting ROIs in the same range and still the highest in the industry.
I finally got it all finished up with a total of 3.25 grams. I paid 140 or a little more for the 5lb bag with a minimum of 3 grams. Also if you join his faceboom group theres a 5% off code to use wich basically gave me free shipping. I didnt do the math but i got everything it promised and a lil extra so cant complain.
The one problem with a bag with such a high guaranteed ROI is there is no surprises. You know your going to get a 85-90% ROI but probably not much more. I will take that problem any day though, lol.
How do I get in touch with GoldBay? There is no e-mail address on the website that I can find. Calling the phone number results in a fax machine tone -- and my printer won't work. I purchased a 5# bundle based on your reviews earlier this week and have not received a confirmation nor have I received my order.
I only receive emails when it ships, dont think I have ever received a confirmation email. Any whoo facebook.com/goldbay That is the easiest way I found to contact him was facebook messenger
Most paydirt sellers who seed or salt the bags buy gold in very large quantities so they pay far less then spot. If your only paying 75% of golds value you can sell it at its spot and still make a profit.
Hey man was wondering if you or anybody tried the Colorado quartz paydirt? Was wondering if the 220 price tag on 3 lbs was worth it for no guarantee on how much gold recovery.
Thinking about splurging on some if he still has some when my income tax comes in. If i do maybe ill send a sample to you to try out. Thanks for what you do man. Been more then pleased with all my paydirt purchases so far because of your videos.
i would have bought the 5# bag i went thru check out and they only do PAYPAL, :( my first account on paypal with an awesome password was hacked in less then a week, will never use paypal again.
You don't actually have to have or use a paypal account to check out. During checkout select paypal, then when the payment window opens scroll down and select "Pay with Debit/Credit Card". This is the paypal guest check out. Which means they are only being used as a credit card payment processor, they do not store your info or make an account.
Its a hobby. Not everyone lives or has the means to go out gold mining. Yet those same people like me have a passion for gold panning and mining. So the only way we can get our gold fix is to buy gold paydirt. I am currently disabled so I cant go load up a truck , drive for 4 hours to the closest area around me that has gold. Then work all day to find a few bucks worth of gold. So instead I buy paydirt and hunt for the gold at home. Also you would be amazed at the absolute thrill and excitement one gets when you swirl a pan of "dirt" and see gold in it. It is what drove an entire country west!
Thanks for watching! Yeah damn hackers suck, site should be back up this weekend, think i got rid of them but will see when it goes live again. Even though most people prefer videos I prefer the website. Makes it much easier to see who sells good paydirt, who sells junk and all the in between.
Thanks for offer, but my hosting company has been wonderful in helping. This happened a few years back, and hosting company essentially closed my sites so moved to this one. These guys helped quarantine everything while I patched holes (I think). lol
It's only a good return on your investment if it's 24 karat gold if it is only 18 or even 14 it is not good return on your investment because at 14 it's almost half the money
Not at all true. The karat only matters on what the buyer is willing to pay. Most buyers of gold nuggets or raw gold pay the exact same regardless of karat. So 1 gram of 24k is worth the exact same as 1 gram of 14k.
Miller Prospecting that’s a misleading statement. In none of the videos does anyone do any purity test. There is no information on the website about products purity via an actual test for purity. So really you’re misleading people to think it’s 24k and that’s why people are paying the price; because they are mislead. Gotta make a living I guess.
@@ike6845 Why would I do a purity test? Placer gold sells for 24kt prices regardless of its actual purity. You can search ebay or google for placer gold sellers and not one sells 18kt placer gold at 18kt prices, it all sells for 24kt prices. The reason is placer gold is rarer than gold bars, round, or jewelry since 99% of all gold found is smelted down to make those things.
For FUN! Why drink coffee? Does it pay you? Why watch tv? does it pay you? Panning paydirt is a fun hobby that rewards you in somethign valuable. I could play golf, and have fun but at the end of the day i have nothing. I could play football, baseball, go watch a movie, go out to eat. All fun things, but when all done I have nothing. At least with paydirt I end up with something, and on very rare occasions I actually do make money.
I don't think your getting scammed but could someone create a gold scam detector. If you had it accurate scale down to the milligrams. I don't know if this exists but can something similar to a metal detector detect an amount of gold in a small container. I don't know how metal detectors work in detail but I heard someone say that there are metal detectors that ignore iron. So maybe a super Accurate Metal Detector hooked up to a computer could discern the difference between different types of metals and try and give you valuable information.
This may not be too much of an issue now but it's predicted that gold value is going to soar and if it does then gold forgery will become a big problem in the future. Someone could buy gold and cut it 20% and try to pass it off as real gold or something like that. I think of the amount of money you can make if you bought gold cut it 20% and then waited 20 years when the value of gold is more than 10 times as much
It would be easier and more profitable for a seller to simply not ship out 2-3 bags of paydirt or straight up rip off 3-4 people. Most bags of paydirt contain less then a gram of gold or $40. So the work it would take to make "cut gold" would not be worth the $4 they would make.
you get close to getting your money back? so the guy is selling unprocessed dirt, from a potential mine, and rather than refine it himself he sells the bags online for people to pan at home lmao, thats some business.. he gets paid for the gold in the ground without buying expensive sleucing machines, all you are guaranteed is a bag of dirt :D
but why not buy gold, melt it and drop it into water it will "flake" and make nuggets, then mix that gold with bags of gravel and dirt, then you know exactly how much you put in vs how much you get out, its not only amusement but good practice as you control and see how well you are refining the pay, you woudn't even need pure gold, low quality jewellery would do just as good a job, it would be cheaper and add more to the game, chuck it in a blender for 5 mins :D
What?? They have a ton of gold in Idaho! Did you know 2/3rds of Idaho is owned by the BLM so lots of access to gold areas. Pretty much any river in Central Idaho has gold in it.
Miller Prospecting as does the best of us. Keep up the videos. Have been interested forever but just now able to get into the physical panning. Fun times!
I did't say it was rusty, but rather its color was rust color. Gold will become stained by iron which gives it a reddish color. Gold can also be different colors based on its silver or copper content.
Would be curious as to where your buying 1/30 Maple Leafs form for $75 as they go for about $88-95 every where I know. Also their is no assurances they will make you money. If you would have bought them a few years ago you would have lost half their value. Gold does not only go up. Also this is a hobby, where people who love panning or exploring from gold can do it from home. So isnt about the money or making money.
Miller Prospecting actually its 1/20 oz Canadian maple leaf gold coins, and i have been stacking these coins for 3yrs now. plus 1/2 oz gold eagles and Canadian maple leaf coins for 5 yrs. all together i have 56 oz of gold and counting, and gold is going up as a matter of fact. yeah apmex sales these 1/20 oz for $85 to 120 depending on the yr. when you do these reviews you sould tell these people about the pro's and con's on paying for pay dirt
Miller Prospecting gold doesn't lose value. i don't buy these coin cause they look good or how rare they are. i buy gold cause of the gold content, and value of the precious metal. at the end of the day it's gone to be melted or re sold when i sale it off when i retire in 20 yrs
Thanks for info about the maple leafs. As to your comment about Gold doesnt lose value..............UHHHHHH 2012 - $1668 2013 - $1411 2014 - $1266 2015 - $1160 2016 - $1160 2017 - #1257 2018 - $1348 In the last 5 years gold has been as high as $1600 per ounce and as low as $1000. Either way while you buy gold as a retirement nest egg, we buy dirt with gold in it as a hobby. I could spend $100 going golfing for a few hours or spend it panning for gold.
actually gold really only goes up since there is a finite amount of gold on the earth. so even if it drops in price in a couple years inflation will kick in, and inflate the price along with the demand, since gold is used in Ethernet cords, its being used now more then it eveer has been
very shady business....buying a bag of salted "concentrates".....i sell my gold to a prospector supply shop and they resell it in buckets of 'concentrates".....THERE WILL never BE ANY NUGGETS LARGER THAN A BB!.......(IF IT EVEN CAME FROM A GOLD BEARING AREA)...while i get 80% of spot, you people pay up to 400 times per spot(prices vary drastically)....not to be dramatic...i only chase nuggets, i dont mess with placer gold....HOWEVER....for what you paid for that bag, i can get you a 5 gallon bucket thats GUARENTEED to have at least this much placer crap you people chase(and possibly small nugs)....thought about doing it many times, just didn't believe people would go for something as suspicious as this....LISTEN.....HEY....BUY OUR GOLD!!!....WE HAVE TOO MUCH!!!!....EVERY BAG GUARENTEED TO CONTAIN GOLD!!!!!!!!.....GET RICH WITH GOLD!!!!!! the only way they can guarantee this is if they had "salted" it.....you might as well bust up computers...THEY actually contain MORE gold than most AU mines with a 25+ gram per ton output.....but you guys stick with the mail..i'm hittin the field!
NO! We are buying paydirt vast difference. One is dirt the other is paydirt, which is dirt that has gold or some type of valuable mineral or deposit in it. We are buying "Gold Paydirt" which is dirt that has naturally and artificially added gold to it for the hobby of panning said gold out of.
It is a gamble as you never truly know what you will get. Some do have certain guarantees but others have no such guarantee. Oh and yes we do this as fun! If I lived in Alaska or Oregon or somewhere with real good gold I might just go out to a river but where I live no good gold to harvest. So is easier and much more fun doing it this way.
Because it is a hobby which is fun and rewarding, and as a plus you do get some of your money back. If I was a soccer fan and played soccer, I would need a ball, outfit, shoes etc. Still fun but ZERO return on investment. Going to the movies, loss of money and time. Reading a book lose of money and time. Everything takes money and time, but some give back.
Pretty much anything you can buy is a waste of money! Eating out is a waste of money! Buying $100 name brand shoes made in a 3rd world for $3, waste of money Buying Pay Per View, or sports channels, waste of money. Anything can be a waste of money, but if you get enjoyment or fun out of the waste then it is worth it.
I agree totally Miller prospecting, I piss money away on worthless crap all the time on all that stuff you mentioned but I had a blast with goldbays paydirt ! I think I'll get more from them . Thanks for the recommendation and the $5 off coupon . Oh yeah good video
Miller Prospecting pretty sure you can save money and go on a trip to do the real thing. Instead of buying over priced dirt to lose money and line the pockets of some company.
Well you would be wrong. I spent $76 on this bag of overpriced dirt and recovered $72 worth of gold. So cost me $4 for 4 hours of fun. To go out prospecting in the wild it would cost more in gas then you would recover in a day. Not to mention I am disabled so I can't go on these trips you describe where the gold is so abundant it pays for the trip.
