Rose does actually have a valid point when she tells Dorothy that if she had gone to the concert she would've heard the music the way Beethoven wrote it, LOL! Thought that was a very clever bit right there!
To get technical, Beethoven's hearing only faded late in his career. A number of his symphonies had been written before then. I know, I know. Boo me all you want.
There was one episode where Blanch was trying to apologies to Rose and Blanch said: "Rose, there are two words that I have trouble saying" and Rose said: "Not tonight?"
I have always wondered this!!! I have noticed smiles after jokes occasionally from Blanche and Rose going out of character. But it was probably wishful thinking. Lol. I wish their blooper reels were longer

Greg, during my 1 year stay in Ohio, I watched GG all the time. Once, it snowed a lot and we were ordered to stay inside unless it was an emergency. My job didn't allow us to come to work from Thursday till Monday. We had a 4 day weekend. Well, it so happens, that during that time they had a GG Marathon. So, that weekend I watched the GG from sun up to sun down and never had a dull moment. I laughed so much! I pray you continue to enjoy GG.
They did... They just have very different personalities. Betty was very outgoing and bubbly. Bea was very reserved and shy. Sometimes they got on each other's nerves... But they still were friends and liked each other.
Rose Nylund and Blanche Devereaux are two of the finest characterisation to ever hit the TV screens, and I can't fathom how much talent and intelligence it demanded from the actresses to pull their roles off so successfully.
I thought 'trolling' was strictly going online and posting provocative stuff to get a rise out of people. I didn't realize that it also applied to the real world (i.e., someone acting the fool to annoy family/friends). Thanks.

Like the episode where they attended a Murder Mystery Party and Rose planned out the *ENTIRE* thing to get back at Blanche. Plus, if you seen Rose's first daughter, you"ll know Rose raised her very well to become an intelligent educated individual. So Rose is not dumb at all, I would say at times, she is even greater than Dorothy's intelligence! When Golden Palace aired and Dorthy came back, Rose revealed her "true" personality and showed she was *more intelligent and stronger than Dorothy.* I would say Rose is just naive because she is like portray herself as "innocent" but in reality, she is just metaphorically, f*cking with people's minds for shits and giggles. I think Charlie, her ex husband was the only that saw the "real" Rose, an intelligent, confident Woman! She even trolled Miles, she knew Dorothy kissed Miles, so to get back at him, she kissed another man, and then when Miles admitted to him kissing, she protected herself and *VERY CAREFULLY* not revealed what she did to get back at him and forgave him afterwards. Rose to me is on Sophia's level, she is smart, slick and witty, the whole "airhead dumb blonde" is nothing more than a facade because she likes f*cking with people's heads!

+Saturnusplanetkraft Bea arthur was so awesome and exceptional actress and comedian. if she were alive today she would be just as successful as betty white (whom i also adore)
The thing that amazes me is how Rose can go from being the stupidest person on the show to having these fantastical little snippets of the sarcastic little person she is.
I've always loved Blance's character most of all. So really funny. But the repartee with Rose and her boyfriend at the front door in this clip really cracked me up.Brilliantly scripted. Utterly Priceless!

One of the most amazing things about the four actresses in this tv show is their actings when they expressed surprised, shocked, annoyed after one of them said something, for example when Rose said something silly, the way they expressed their shock/surprise etc is perfect, I almost forget that they actually doing their acting at that moments. Yeah, those nighties and silk robes she flounced in were really nice. I read that a clause in her contract allowed her to keep all of Blanche's wardrobe.
