This is so sad to see and hear ,Frankie doesn't look or sound right without the usual crew .these guys play like they're scared and there's only one Jubu .
The new guitarist is good but the solo wasn't as soulful as Jubu. Chris in TMF isnt Frankie, so we cant compare either way. However, if I'm going to see a Frankie honors concert, I'm going with T.M.F, the original band, and show love to Chris!! 😘 God bless everyone moving forward...the music will live on forever. ❤️
TMF is not the original band. Some of those band members had been with Frankie about 20 years. Frankie’s band members go back further than that , however JuBu is the man.
Jubu is good. Keep in mind that Jubu wasn't the first Maze guitarist to play this song with Maze. Everything must change. Thank God there are other great musicians to keep the beat moving..
Right. Jubu is phenomenal but he was not original guitarist; however, he did play with Mr. Beverly for over 20 years. He came aboard when Robin Duhe was the bass guitarist. Yes, people move forward and things do change. I just attended the Frankie Beverly " I Wanna Thank You Tour" here in Atlanta and the crowd was on their feet during the entire time. Mr. Beverly looked well and the new band lineup is getting better. They sing and play and the lead guitarist is a lot better now.
This band doesn’t deserve the name Maze. The beat is slow. I will always love Frankie. It’s just sad the original maze is not with Him on this farewell tour. The Music Forever I love their new album. It hurts this happened but life goes on. Chris is not trying to be Frankie and We have to understand TMF will continue to honor Frankie forever it’s their music and they love Frankie 💕💕
I concur with all of the REPLIES. Jubu was not the original guitarist when these songs were produced but he added his own touch. Chris will never sound like Frankie; however, the band is honoring Frankie. Hopefully when the new front man takes over for Frankie, he will sound more like Frankie and the band will have become more familiar with the music and more relaxed. Now, finally, things change and life goes on so we have to embrace the change. I will say this, the guys in the new band SING and the drummer is kicking it. He is fantastic. I attended the farewell tour in Atlanta and the audience was on their feet all night and we sung all night long. God bless Mr. Beverly and we thank him for all the years he gave us inspiring music and we truly thank him for his onstage performance. The brother was fine and he was electrifying!!!!! Mike drop.....
Hard to watch the solo because he hasn't really made it his. The slow walk across the stage is Jubu. You gotta do something different. And, parts of if sound like Juub's solo. So, you gotta do something completely different.
It wasn't Jubu solo either. Jubu wasn't the first Maze guitarist to perform that solo. Listen to the Maze live in Los Angles album. Jubu is doing his own thing now. Check out his live perform on my channel a couple of weeks ago in the DMV
