WOW. Mr Goldstein can really find the "cream of the crop", as they say, regarding misuse or abuse. Meaning Englander and Villegas who now in 2018 and 2020 are not quality LA City employees.
Nicholas Hall I was thinking the same thing. Dont hold your breath though, these idiots may crush these cars giving some lame reason why they cant be decommissioned for the public.
If see was on her lunch break or on the way home, there's nothing wrong with what she did. Now with that being said, boy they waste a lot of money on bs programs don't they
The reason why the employees are reluctant to use tho cars is the reason why electric cars don't make sense, in spite of all propaganda in contrary. Make them truly green-practical in terms of autonomy and then we will talk.
thost look like personal vehicles to save employees money on gas, but not for our officers on the street.Thats what happens when there's not a vote on the spending. Abuse !
Honestly I am all for EVs, but, currently they are expensive, and the ones that aren't don't have a good range, Police, Ambulance and fire trucks need to be reliable, I do think the we should switch to EVs, but Emergency vehicles at the moment need to stay in International combustion. Maybe in 5 years we will revisit this topic
Well 4 years later and nothing has changed. Also, EV's are actually worse for the environment. Where does all that electricity come from to charge them? It's not free. Also, the manufacturing process for EV batteries is highly toxic. The batteries aren't green by any stretch and are hard to recycle once they no longer work. Plus they are exceedingly expensive to replace. EV's are a joke.
@@Nightfighter82 I agree with you that at this moment they truly are. However progress starts somewhere. And about the production of energy is also true. However unlike most other ev Manufacturers Tesla and Elon are very much aware of the Energy production issues, which is why Tesle does Solar as well. We need to start somewhere. We are not ready to transition away from Combustion engine, but like i said we need to start somewhere
@@Nightfighter82 but they aren’t worse for the environment. Emissions from the power needed to charge these EVs are much less than what comes out of a combustion engine car due to carbon capturing. Just recently California was running on 100% renewable energy for a couple of hours. Batteries are hard to recycle but not impossible. The only reason a lot of this stuff is expensive is because it’s new technology. But with constant innovation price will go down usefulness will go up. Look how long it took ice vehicles to be this efficient. People just need to stop dragging their feet
