I spent so many hours playing this game. Still one of the best LotR games I have ever played.

Shank's wife: What do You like the most? Shanks: a) Your eyes b) Your voice c) Your personality d) Definitely Half-troll swordsmen, they are very cost efficient, tanky and super powerful. They cost 400 resources like uruk-hai, but I think they are much stronger, especially when they reach lvl 2. Imagine a new player who has some cavalry units and wants to run them down. THEY CANNOT GET TRUMPLED, which is HUGE!!! And the most important, they look so cool, holy guacamole.

Man, this game is a masterpiece, i still have it also on my computer, and I love to watch every man of culture like me that plays this XD You have my subscription Frodo emm i mean Beyond XD

Real challenge is to win 1x1 VS strongest computer in BFME 2 ROTWK 8.4. Or i don't know, maybe my version of game is broken, because strongest computer have infinite money, build non stop at same time army, building, BUILDERS and even more buildings.... Have no idea how to win. In previous version (3.6.0 or smthn) I haven't such problems, and was able from time to time win strongest computer (difficulty of computer named "killer" in russian version).

I remember renting this game from the library every weekend when I went to my grandmas house, the heartbreak when the one copy wasn’t there Friday afternoon, the joy when it was… ugh, this game/franchise was a huge part of my childhood

It's actually harder to play vs 4-5 hard armys on a map for 8 players, because 2-3 of your opponets will expand very soon which means more ressources and combat points for them.

This was super entertaining. Not gonna lie though, I'm looking forward to the evil faction challenge!

This was a good throw-back! Usually when watching BFME content, the videos tend to focus on the sequel or the expansion. I don't blame them though, but this was absolutely great. Remember playing this a lot, and I mean, a lot...

You was lucky, there is no Rohan instead of some of Gondor armies. War against the Ents under the command of Aragorn is a mess.

the best strategy is to farm for Gandalf Asap. Lvl him to lvl10 and then you are good to go. Basically steamrolling all one by one. No need for boromir. Pipin fara /archers + towers for deffense. Building cavalry and go.

I haven't played this game for a long time, my 1 vs 7 hard games using Gondor always start with a fountain and statue at the door, in the middle of the shooting range and barracks, at the back 5 smithies. Playing defensively with heroes and groups of archers plus swordsmen. When by the time I have a self-defending base and my improved troops I go on the offensive, destroying and conquering. Tip: mery and pippim throw rocks with great speed if you keep giving them the order to attack on the target, but you must hit the right click pattern, if you do it right they look like mini Legolas throwing stones.

You really play extremely well! Thanks for your Videos! I would still like to see you in BFME2 ROTWK V9. Because the AI seems a bit broken to me here, the enemies should have been upgraded to the midgame already. Also, they coordinate attacks little, built much more siege (and shoot on towers before going into the base with them when gate is open). The ROWTK V9 AI seems to me to be a lot better, also that the powers are used. Also, AI base defense is built very little. Hope to see ROTWK V9 matches from you. Would be a pleasure!

Loved this, reminded me of how I always used to play this as a kid camping as Gondor with the gates closed. Except the 7 AI would tear me apart eventually

They don’t even summon the Balrog or any other powers ever. Only Saurons eye. 5 balrogs at once would be an issue😂

Oh chill, AI sucks at using mines. It just lays it down, for you to smash it till the Berserkes come. Though when one DOES actually go off, it's a disaster, yes. You wouldn't want that to happen till you cleared the map a bit. 7:16 Nice reference there but it wasn't "reckless evil", it was "So much death, what can a man do against such reckless HATRED". I'll see myself out, thanks.

Oh I used to play the same match ups 1 vs 7 in hard. I remember doing some archers mixed with swordsman and then opening the door to farm XP until I can buy them the upgrades heh. Piping was a godsend, the rock oneshoots enemy's in lvl 10 I miss this game so much

Lol i still remember the 3 mordor vs 1 gondor and the only way to beat them was basically letting them spawn free orcs until max pop and then, they cant recruit catapults lol.

the AI is so stupid 😂 I always enjoyed FFAs against 7 AIs on that map, so they keep feeding themselves and are able to throw balrogs and armies of the dead against me very soon.

Why did you play with 50/80 command points? You could've made an extra set of knights, or two groups of archers/rangers. Putting one group of rangers with fire arrows in a tower for both castles would help a lot against siege weapons, right? I mean, you'd still have to pay attention and put them in the best tower, of course

Your resources buildings setup is wrong actually. You need those farms more than blacksmiths because they have their own bonuses as well, like blacksmiths.

Hello, Stumbled on your channel just like that. While I like it It would be nice to have some more commentator 1v1 matches. Maybe between casuals/noobs ? Its a really good way to also teach the game to anyone watching as well as getting some funny play. Also it took me like 10 minutes to find dwarven gameplaye :D more dwarves please. 300k views? Wow! Back in the days I used to play this game "pro" if you could label it that way at the time. It's unbelievable to see how popular the game has got since then. I thought it was long dead since the community moved to BFME2 and then to C&C. I cannot wait for the REFORGED version :)

I tried the same with Rohan instead of Gondor and only Isengard and Mordor as enemies. I don't know anymore if I succeeded with 7 AI opponents, but i definitley did with 5 after several tries. My strategy was to defend with two Bow Bataillons and 3 towers until i got access to legolas. Afterwards it was all about leveling legolas up (and add aragorn later on to kill the enemies siege) and about leveling up the elves which was the onliest unit type i bulit after leveling up my archery range. A single lvl 10 elves bataillon should be able to defend a base by its own. They can order some help from outside the map if needed. If a specific base is raided frequently it could make sense to simply add some more heroes at that base. Once your main base is stableized you start to invade the enemy bases. My attacking strat was: Sending legolas + 1-2 lvl 10 elves to the enemies base, then call the dead army and the ents and finish the base in about one minute. Afterwards you should build up the base completley, add an elves squad for defense and head to the next base.
