I got those HAIX boots; been wearing them for a year. They are amazing. Winter or simmer, the Gore-Tex is key to keep dry and comfortable. I broke a lace loop, and they sent me a brand new pair. I like them for both spiking and trimming.

Those Scafel Lites are tough to break in. Took me nearly 4 months to break them in. Feel great now but think I'll go for Haix or Meindl next time

Haix North America I would never take anyone’s word so I need to try everything for myself, and totally unbiased and objective. Your boots were the worst in that price range. Almost a flat footed feel, and a plastic, generic appearance. Front sole separated, after a few months.

Unfortunately m'y dealer didn"t carry boots care product .so I went in a bicycle shop and bought à leather saddle product that contain bees wax, parafin wax,rapeseedoil,sunflower oil,refined tallow, citronella oil .that is for m'y scaffel lite. Was it à good choice .thanks for leading me into buying m'y boots😃

Been in the tree industry for several months now, so not long. Worked into becoming what I've been told is a good climber, and I'll be approaching oaks this winter. Any solid boot recommendations for winter, and a lot of climbing?

My favorite all around boot is the Evo2. Where do you get your boots rebuilt? I have a pair of Tango lights that need soles. My local boot guy only does traditional soles, and I asked a few rock climbing shops with no luck.

Meindls are far better than Haix. Haix is more tactical and so much less comfortable. Meindl Airstream and Meindl Airstream Rock. A certain UK supplier ships to the US within a week. Used to take a month to get them from sherrilltree.com when they sold them.

What boots would you recommend for somebody with extremely flat feet. A boot that doesn’t have a narrow midsole.

Don't care for waterproof or chainsaw proof. Want them to be comfortable and painless for 8 hours on spurs. "Cool" in summer. Anyone recommend something for me?

Never heard "shoe-whore" before... 🤣 I guess I'm like you, I need boots for motorcycle riding, one pair per season, boots to walk the dog, boots for DIY, tactical boots for work (they mean black!). On a serious note, I'm learning how to split wood at home, are chainsaw boots tough enough against an axe impact? In advance, thank you very much for your time. Best regards, Manny UK

Need lots of boots! Dave really appreciates a good pair of boots. I don't think saw boots are tested for axe impact. They jam a chainsaw with fibers that are pulled into the mechanism to stop the chain. While tough, the impact of a sharp object is a different type of energy all together.

Horribly humid and live your life covered in sweat 😂, eventually you get used to it NGD
@troypolamalupittsburghdyna8181
Real climbers know all these boots are absolutely trash and completely irrelevant. A real climber knows when you put on your spikes a boot with longer heels is what a climber wants. A boot with a longer heel can help the bottom frame of your spikes stay in place. Any sort of extra support that helps your spikes stay in place and locked in on your feet is a plus.

Real climbers know logger boots are trash, and linesman boots are best. Double steel shank, thick leather mid, and insole. The whites hotshots he's talking about use a leather shank that's y he's claiming your feet hurt no matter what. I have carolina 10in linesman and hoffman 16in linesman and you don't even feel the spikes. Granted, the 16 are unnecessary, but nothing beats a 10 inch linesman. The arbpro Evo are crap. Me and 2 other climbers I work had them, and they all fell apart in 2 to 3 months. Also the logger heel works great for prunes bc your mostly using the ball of foot and the heel can actually hook onto limbs. At the end of the day, people can do what they want, but this guy is just trying to sell the boots they have

@mikesch7672
@mikesch7672 4 года назад
@@briankennedy1313 maybe if you learned to pick your feet up as you walk,your boots would last longer. But I doubt you have ever laced up work boots in your life.
@briankennedy1313
@briankennedy1313 4 года назад
Mike sch76 insecure, passive aggressive, childish insults. You’re so alpha bro. Btw, Nick from TreeStuffdotcom did a video on the boots they sell and said for all the non logger type without sewn soles you shouldn’t expect them to last more than 6 months. But it’s obviously logical to think you’re the longer your boots last the more the badass. Of course.
@stewartj3407

Geez dude man up, do you really need a different boot for everything, in the tree out of the tree, winter, summer, urban, hiking. The boot marketing has filled your head with useless crap saying you need all this.

If it doesn’t have a defined heel it is garbage. Period.
