My favorite song in the entire musical~
Most of the time, we love and adore Percy for his Persassiness. But what I really love about him more is Rick humanized him and how relatable his character is, and the writers of this song did an amazing job, portraying that in this song.
And let's all be honest. Whenever we hear this song, we either sing along to it or lip sync to it, while also acting it out (especially when we're alone in our room)

I just feel so bad for Percy. His entire life he has never felt like he has belonged anywhere. Gabe always put him down, people have bullied him, and Poseidon wasn't really there for him. I mean Poseidon couldn't be with Percy but he could had at least shown a little love. The only person who ever cared for him (Besides Grover) is his mom. When she was taken he felt like he was a no one. He finally found camp Half-Blood, he started to feel a little better then all of a sudden he is told to go on a quest that he might come back from. He only went so he could save his mom but he ended up having to leave her. His mom came back, he saved the world like a million times and through it all he still felt like he didn't belong. The only people keeping him going were his Mom, Grover, and Annabeth. He then got taken away from all of them and had to figure out what to do. He has never felt like he belonged. Percy, if you read this I just want you to know that I believe in you and that you are amazing. Your courage is amazing and you will always have a special place in my heart.

I love this song so much! It really emphasized his struggles and that makes him more real to me and Percy becomes relatable for a lot of people.

@@dreaboughton85 true, but I think this one is sadder. My Grand Plan is about Annabeth’s ambition to be remembered-but also her family driving her away. While this is about Percy not being good enough for anyone. Both are equally tragic but I believe Percy’s is a bit more humble.

This is probably one of my favourite songs. All songs, not just musicals. Learning this song as it's somewhat true to me.
