A woman who can bring peace to the household. If she can't or won't provide that... what good is she?

When women bark about their achievements and tangible items is normally red banner. Who ever told black women this wants them to fail.

Sensual real passion for him. Unprovoked care of self and her health. Respectability, Supportiveness, ability to be loyal, ability to own ones faults and sincerely work on them, sweet persuasiveness vs. one sided passive aggressiveness or heavy manipulativeness, and Trust after being verified consistent man.....To name a few.

As a young adult this is how I viewed most guys who would approach me.."he just want to hit it". I didn't assume just by an initial approach that they really liked me. That, they had to prove. There were times when friends would say "that guy likes you". I see some young women especially get super excited by every single guy who approach them. Just 100% truth. I hope my sistas are listening.

Great video. Intangible qualities does make a woman very appealing to a good man. We certainly cannot put a price tag on a woman with such rarities.

I remember going out with my girlfriends, they all got approached by these men, one approached me. By the end of the night, all those guys wanted to buy me drinks and get my number. Why? I realized they were attracted to my personality. I gave them an intellectual conversation and was polite. Real men desire tangibles.

Great video. About the 50/50 thing. I don't believe in that anymore. I mean really WHAT does that mean? Because here's the thing. Women and men bring different things to the table in relationships. The man is the provider and protector, the woman the nurturer and creator. You cant bring half of either of these to the table. You have to bring it ALL 100% for what your role is. Men and women aren't even equal in society. A man earns more per dollar than a woman (and even more so when you break it down by race), so at the end of the day women and men are not totally equal. Even in social rights to some extent - but that's a whole other conversation. I'm all for rights and equality, but everyone is complaining about the same thing within relationships nowadays. Roles aren't defined, men feeling emasculated by women, women feeling men don't treat them like gentlemen or with respect. Time to discuss what this 50/50 dynamic is as a first step to changing how we relate to each other once again.

Umm hmm tell em Uncle Rom!!! I was just saying earlier that the high earning women I've met have all expected me to pay the bill. So her earnings don't really benefit the man. Unless further down the road with certain bills but we're still expected to provide. I've got to know I'm providing for a woman who's playing her part though.

So So true When I remarried it went from a family of 5 to 8 we struggled together but we both had visions . I went to college and he started his own business really very very little time for each other. Even though that was an issue I managed to tend to the children , my class/homework and help from time to time with his business, it was not easy at all.

Hey Uncle Rom! I have an observation and question for you, let me know if I’m perceiving in a bubble here. My observation has been that middle class working black couples have the highest potential of longevity, stability and overall success at maintaining a marriage, mostly in southern rural, developing areas. While the affluent and impoverished black city residents have more relationship/marriage instability and overall dysfunction. I have so much more to write but I won’t hold you up.
