Robin Williams is such a talented actor and comedian. He seems to think so much faster than the normal human can. Random trivia: Robin Williams ad-libbed all of Adrian Cronauer's broadcasts. Pretty amazing.

The amazingly talented and incredibly hilarious legend, Robin Williams, died today at noon. I can't even begin to describe how hurt I am by this. I grew up watching movies with him that would bring me to tears due to how hard I was laughing and no other actor/comedian has been able to do this. Rest in Peace. God bless your soul. ROBIN WILLIAMS FOR EVER!

I watched this until Robin Williams was introduced.... then I cried. I miss him :'( It's just so unfair how one man who could always make us laugh, who always put a smile on our faces and in our hearts had to go. If only someone had noticed, then the world wouldn't be suffering now... Rest In Peace, Robin. You will always be treasured.

It's so sad hearing of his death today, actually made me cry knowing that it was suicide and that he'd been struggling with depression. Just knowing that the depression had pushed him to such a place is heartbreaking. RIP Robin Williams xxx

Robin heart and soul was shown in a scene in this film when his jeep was stopped in the traffic jam with all the troop trucks he did an impromptu show for a pleasant distraction for the soldiers in the film. Please let fill back the comments up with more comments(up vote them so they rise to the top also) talking about Robin and His Performance in this film. Instead of everyone filing the comments with how his death effect them. Please celebrate the man and his work his death one just one day out of his many years of him providing quality entertainment.

For all you people that say Robin is hell, just shut up. He did more of Gods work here on earth than any of us including myself. He was and still is one of the adored people on the planet. God made him so special, he was famous, but he used it to give, and would help a stranger. Look at all the good he did. He made the world a better place with his warmth and humanity. He had major star power but he used for good, he genuinely cared about people from all walks of life. It was a horrible disease that took him not depression. Read up Lewy Body it makes you hallucinate, I don't believe for one minute he was in his right mind. His home now with God. RIP now Robin you deserve it. 😇😇😇

This film was made in Thailand (which can be understood because in 1987 we still closed to the world, especially USA), and there are something different from the real Vietnam. For example, in Vietnam, the fields are wider and there will never be trees in the middle of the fields like in Thailand. Now we open to everyone and we welcome you to visit our country.

Oh, God .. Who cares where the film was shot, whether in Vietnam or Thailand, what matters is that a good movie, among the best of this great actor and one of my favorites.

Barry Levinson directed it, Mark Johnson produced it and the late Bruno Kirby was in it. 10 years after this movie's release, they worked together again in Donnie Brasco, with Mark and Bruno in the same positions and Barry as just a producer.
